Abstract: Concepts and technologies disclosed herein are directed to audio and video synchronization. According to one aspect disclosed herein, an audio-video (“AV”) synchronization system can simultaneously capture samples of a pre-encode media stream and a post-encode media stream. The pre-encode media stream can include AV content prior to being encoded. The post-encode media stream can include the AV content after being encoded. The AV synchronization system can align a pre-encode video component of the pre-encode media stream with a post-encode video component and can determine a video offset therebetween. The AV synchronization system can align a pre-encode audio component of the pre-encode media stream with a post-encode audio component of the post-encode media stream and can determine an audio offset therebetween. The AV synchronization system can then compare the video offset and the audio offset to determine if the post-encode media stream is synchronized with the pre-encode media stream.

Abstract: A polymeric container including a base, a body, a finish, finish threads, and a tamper lip. The finish threads are at an outer surface of the finish, and are configured to cooperate with closure threads of a closure to secure the closure to the finish. Abstract: A holster system that comprises a holster and an accessory configured to be fixed to a mounting rail of a handgun. The holster has a holster body with a pair of opposing wall portions defining a cavity. A retention mechanism of the system has a blocking portion movable between a blocking position and a non-blocking position. The blocking member at least inhibits removal of the handgun and accessory if the handgun and accessory are urged rearwardly before a thumb receiving portion is depressed. The blocking portion is on a spring member that is deflected by an elongate exteriorly extending sliding member that has a cam surface that selectively deflects the spring member from the blocking position.

Abstract: Techniques and devices are disclosed for forming wettable flanks on no-leads semiconductor packages. A lead frame may include a plurality of lead sets, each lead set including leads having a die surface and a plating surface, vias between adjacent lead sets in a first direction, and an integrated circuit die arranged on the die surface of each die lead. A mold chase may be applied to the plating surfaces, the mold chase including mold chase extensions extending into the vias between each adjacent lead set in the first direction, each mold chase extension having a peak surface. The lead frame assembly may be partially embedded in a mold encapsulation such that portions of the mold encapsulation contact the peak surfaces. The mold chase may be removed to expose the vias containing sidewalls and the plating surfaces and the sidewalls may be plated with an electrical plating.

Abstract: A method, a communication device and a computer program product for managing communication device calls based on facial recognition. The method includes detecting, via a processor of a communication device, an incoming call and triggering an image capture device to capture image data from a field of view of the image capture device. The method further includes receiving the image data from the image capture device and retrieving reference image data from a memory. The method further includes determining if the image data is substantially similar to the reference image data and in response to the image data being substantially similar to the reference image data, stopping at least one notification associated with the incoming call.
Abstract: Described herein are methods and systems for admission control of a communication session over a communication network. The methods and systems of the present disclosure may comprise determining whether a communication session originates from an originating device that is part of an autodialing system. If the communication session does originate from an autodialing system, the methods and systems can determine whether the autodialing system is a valid autodialing system or an invalid autodialing system. The methods and systems can process or block future communications sessions from the originating device depending on whether the autodialing system is a valid autodialing system or invalid autodialing system, respectively.
Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods are provided for providing a rotatable perfect binding separated step solution configured to maximize efficiency for one-off book printing. The multi-clamp binding apparatus includes a rotatable body, a plurality of fixed operation stations associated with the rotatable body, and a plurality of clamps coupled to the rotatable body. Each of the clamps may retain at least one workpiece. The rotatable body may rotate each of the plurality of clamps to one or more of the plurality of fixed operation stations. In operation, a book block is received at an in-feed location of the perfect binding apparatus. The book block is stored within a holding apparatus of the perfect binding apparatus. The book block is then rotated between a plurality of fixed operation stations. At least one operation is performed upon the book block at each of the plurality of fixed operation stations.
Abstract: A joint exhibits high tensile strength. The joint includes a solid rod having a slit or opening into which a wedge is inserted. The rod and wedge are inserted into a fitting. Only a small amount of adhesive material is applied between the fitting and the rod. The adhesive material may be blended with non-adhesive, non-compressible “beads” that have a preferred diameter in order to insure that the desired adhesive thickness is achieved between the fitting and the rod. The internal surface of the fitting has a contour which continuously and nonlinearly varies with distance along the fitting. The wedge has a dimension having a similar contour. The shape of the contour can be described by a polynomial of order two or higher. The joint can be used to construct a sucker rod for an oil well, or it can be used in other applications. The joint can support high tensile loads, over long distances, while occupying a very narrow tubing bore.
