Abstract: A system and method are disclosed for estimating the location of a satellite terminal. The terminal is selected from among a plurality of terminals, and one or more position estimates are generated for a satellite which provides service to the terminal. The position estimated can be generated, for example, by performing a first one or more iterative grid searches over a plurality of potential position estimates for the satellite. A location estimate is subsequently generated for the terminal by performing a second one or more iterative grid searches over a plurality of potential location estimates for the terminal.

Abstract: A system for repositioning patients including a plate assembly and a strap assembly. The system includes at least two plates including a first portion and a second portion mounted to the first portion and configured to receive a strap assembly therein. A user utilizes the system for repositioning patients every 2-3 hours per healthcare industry standards of care to prevent the patient from contracting bed sores.

Abstract: Resilient plant development media are disclosed that can include a first layer that includes a plurality of adjacent strands, a second layer that includes a plurality of strands that are adjacent and that is in stacked relation relative to the first layer, wherein the strands of the first layer and the strands of the second layer are in a non-aligned orientation relative to each other. The strands in the first layer and the strands in the second layer may define a crisscross pattern. The multilayer resilient media is effective in supporting seeds during germination and plants throughout their growth and development. The multilayer resilient media is effective for use in various plant growing modalities, e.g., aeroponic, nutrient film, and hydroponic plant growing environments, and may be easily cleaned for reuse.

Abstract: This document describes techniques and apparatuses for a user equipment (UE)-coordination set for a wireless network. In aspects, a base station specifies a set of UEs to form a UE-coordination set for joint transmission and reception of data intended for a target UE within the UE-coordination set. The base station selects one of the UEs within the UE-coordination set to act as a coordinating UE for the UE-coordination set and transmits a request message that directs the coordinating UE to coordinate the joint transmission and reception of the data intended for the target UE. Then, the base station transmits a downlink signal to each UE within the UE-coordination set. Each UE within the UE-coordination set demodulates and samples the downlink signal and then forwards the samples to the coordinating UE, which combines the samples and processes the combined samples to provide decoded data.

Abstract: A load control device may be configured to provide a user interface for controlling the intensity and/or color of one or more lighting loads. The user interface may include separate actuation members for setting the intensity and/or color of the lighting loads. The user interface may include one actuation member configured to operate in an intensity and/or color control mode. The control mode of the actuation member may be set via a button, a lever, a rotary switch, a rotary knob, etc. The user interface may include a touch sensitive element capable of sensing a user's touch and translate the touch into a control signal. Feedback may be provided on the user interface to indicate the type of control being adjusted and/or amount of control being applied to the lighting loads.

Abstract: A method for filtering data packets at a firewall system is disclosed that includes receiving a data packet having a plurality of fields at a processor, and determining whether a precondition exists, where an action is associated the precondition. The action associated with the precondition is performed if it is determined that the precondition exists. The data packet is processed using a plurality of rules if it is determined that the precondition does not exist for the one or more of the plurality of fields. A user associated with the data packet is identified, and it is determined whether one or more rules are stored in a cache for one or more of a plurality of groups associated with the user. The data packet is processed using the one or more rules stored in the cache if present.

Abstract: The present invention describes new applicators containing both a lip coloring applicator and a complementary-colored eyeshadow. Users may use these two-in-one applicators for simple applications of make-ups, and not be overwhelmed by color selections for lips and eye lids.

Abstract: A session management function (SMF) receives, from a wireless device, a packet data unit (PDU) session establishment request message. The PDU session establishment request message comprises: location information of the wireless device; and a single-network slice selection assistance information (S-NSSAI) of the PDU session. The SMF selects a local proxy call session control function (P-CSCF) based on: the location information of the wireless device; and the S-NSSAI of the PDU session. The SMF sends, to the wireless device, a PDU session establishment accept message comprising an identifier of the P-CSCF.

Abstract: A method of using an electrode array to deliver tumor treating electric fields to a patient including the steps of: placing a plurality of electrode elements in optimized locations on the patient, each of the electrode elements being independently programmable, the optimized locations are optimized relative to a target area wherein at least one tumor is located; programming a control device with a frequency range, a firing configuration and a firing sequence for the plurality of electrode elements; and generating electrical signals in the frequency range, the electrical signals being directed to at least two of the plurality of electrode elements in a sequence determined by the firing sequence.

A method includes a data collector collecting IP address information from sources of IP address inventory and an optimization controller generating a data set from the collected IP address information, minimizing IP address allocations for network components in a network using IP address allocation and IP address utilization for a network component from the data set, minimizing IP address inventory costs using IP address inventory and IP address utilization from the data set and IP address transactional costs, tracking the IP address inventory, sending configuration information to network component(s) to change respective IP address allocations based on minimized IP address allocation, sending transaction information to IP address provider(s) to change the IP address inventory based on minimized IP address inventory costs, and performing the above on a defined interval.

Abstract: A fluid control device includes a support structure configured to be deployed in a borehole, and a filtration component disposed at the support structure, the filtration component including a porous medium made from a thermoplastic polymer material, the porous medium including an open cell foam. The porous medium has a porosity selected to cause the porous medium to exhibit shape memory behavior, and the porous medium is configured to be compacted from an initial shape to a compacted shape, deployed in the borehole, and subsequently expanded due to a downhole temperature to conform to a surface of the borehole.

Abstract: A routing assembly for an electronic device has a plurality of connectors ports and each of the connector ports contains a first connector connected to one or more cables. Cables are directly terminated, at first ends thereof, to terminals of the first connectors and the cables can be embedded in a routing substrate. The routing substrate has an opening which accommodates a chip package. Second ends of the cables are terminated to second connectors arranged in the package opening and the second connectors are in turn connected to the chip package.
