Abstract: Techniques for using a trip flag to detect desynchronization of trip counter values in a vehicle system. Techniques include a first electronic control unit (ECU) receiving a synchronization message including a trip counter and receiving a message from a second ECU including a trip flag. The trip flag includes a single bit of data generated by the second ECU. The first ECU compares the trip flag to a last bit of the trip counter stored at the first electronic control unit and processes the message in response to the trip flag matching the trip counter. The first ECU compares the trip counter to a previous trip counter based on the trip flag differing from the trip counter. The first ECU processes the message using the previous trip counter or increments the trip counter to process the message based on the comparison with the previous trip counter.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes systems and methods directed to a user equipment (UE) selecting a network connection. The described systems and methods include the UE receiving a wireless network suggestion requesting connection of the UE to a wireless local area network (WLAN), the wireless network suggestion received from a network-suggesting entity. The UE reviews at least one of connection performance data relating to one or more previous network connections with the WLAN and/or suggestor performance data relating to one or more previous wireless network suggestions received from the network-suggesting entity. The UE then determines, based on the review, whether the connection performance data and/or the suggestor performance data satisfies a criterion. Upon determining that a criterion is satisfied, the UE establishes a wireless connection with the WLAN.

Abstract: A closed loop extraction system for extracting desired components from raw plant matter and method of use is disclosed. The closed loop extraction system features a solvent source, a chill tank, a wash tank, a rinse tank, a centrifuge, and a feed tank all in fluid communication via a series of interconnected pump systems. The method of extracting the desired products from raw plant matter uses this system to perform the extraction with a reduced amount of solvent in an energy-efficient manner.

Abstract: A free-vortex combustor is disclosed that generates vortices which: enhance fuel air mixing, recirculate the air, provide cooling for the combustor walls, and provide low emissions and a substantially uniform exit temperature profile. The combustor is provided fuel or fuel and air through a fuel-injector which atomizes the fuel. A first air swirler couples to the fuel-injector with a prechamber wall abutting the first swirler. A second swirler abuts a downstream end of the prechamber wall. And, a main chamber abuts the second swirler. Each of the first and second swirlers have features that cause the flow to create a vortex in the prechamber and main chamber, respectively. The features creating the swirl are blades or angled orifices. The vortex causes a pressure depression along the centerline and causes backflow along the centerline that improves mixing and improves cooling.

Abstract: Methods and systems for vehicle localization are provided herein. An example method can include obtaining a map within an operating area. A location within the operating area is associated with a pattern of speed bumps that is configured to produce a vehicle pitch response from the vehicle when the vehicle travels over the pattern of speed bumps. The method can include obtaining motion sensor information from a vehicle sensor, determining when the motion sensor information matches the vehicle pitch response, and determining that the vehicle is in the location when the motion sensor information corresponds to the vehicle pitch response of the location.
