Abstract: A method comprising at least one light source configured to generate a light of at least one wavelength and project the light over an optical path, a sample device, the device containing a sample obtained from exhalation of a person, a vortex mask configured to receive the light after the light passes through at least a portion of the sample device, the vortex mask including a series of concentric circles etched in a substrate, the vortex mask configured to provide destructive interference of coherent light received from the at least one light source, a detector configured to detect and measure wavelength intensities from the light in the optical path, the wavelength intensities being impacted by the light passing through the sample, the detector receiving the light that remained after passing through the vortex mask, and a processor configured to provide measurement results based on the wavelength intensities.

Abstract: A system for monitoring operational status and detecting faults in a satellite system is disclosed. The system may include a processor and a memory storing instructions, which when executed by the processor, cause the processor to select, from a plurality of terminals, a subset of terminals to perform system operation tests. The processor may select the subset of terminals using at least one of a semi-static pre-qualification technique and a dynamic pre-qualification technique. The processor may also perform system operation tests using the selected subset of terminals. The processor may further report results from the system operation test using the selected subset of terminals. In some examples, the processor may also determine potential system operation issues based on the results of the system operation tests, generate an alarm or notification based on the determination of potential system operation issues, and/or abort testing or delay testing to a future testing cycle.

Abstract: The source light having a range of optical wavelengths is split into sample light and reference light. The sample light is delivered into a sample, such that the sample light is scattered by the sample, resulting in signal light that exits the sample. The signal light and the reference light are combined into an interference light pattern having optical modes having oscillation frequency components respectively corresponding to optical pathlengths extending through the sample. Different sets of the optical modes of the interference light pattern are respectively detected, and high-bandwidth analog signals representative of the optical modes of the interference light pattern are output. The high-bandwidth analog signals are parallel processed, and mid-bandwidth digital signals are output. The mid-bandwidth digital signals are processed over an i number of iterations, and a plurality of low-bandwidth digital signals are output on the ith iteration.

Abstract: Various embodiments are generally directed to provide a semi-local authentication scheme. A server can transmit one or more encryption mechanisms to a user device, which in turn can transmit the encrypted mechanisms to one or more secondary devices associated with the user device, where the user device and the secondary devices share a local connection. The secondary devices can transmit the one or more encrypted mechanism utilizing one or more one or more decryption mechanisms supplied by the server, and then transmit the result of the decryption, e.g. decrypted codes, back to the user device, which in turn can then transmit a final decrypted code or codes to the server. Upon confirming receipt of the decryption from the user device, the server can authorize access (via the user device) to one or more devices, networks, applications, and/or components.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for providing accurate images of cards. An application executing on a mobile device may receive authentication credentials for an account, determine a card associated with the account, and determine a card manufacturer identifier (CMID) of the card. The application may receive, from a digital asset management system based on the CMID, a plurality of metadata attributes of the card and one or more images of the card. The application may determine, based on the metadata attributes and attributes of the mobile device, a first orientation of the card to enable near-field communication (NFC) data transfer between the card and the mobile device. The application may select a first image of the card. The application may generate a graphical user interface (GUI) including the first image and an indication specifying to tap the card to the mobile device according to the first orientation.

The management system may be entirely located within the consumer's residence, or reside in whole or in part in a connected network or cloud. The system can initiate video/audio management in an entirely autonomous manner, or initiate only in response to user input (keypad, graphical user interface, voice, etc.).

The adhesive drug reservoir layer can include vitamin D, a polymeric adhesive, an organic solvent, and a permeation enhancer.

In some embodiments, the emulsion or microemulsion comprises an aqueous phase; a surfactant; and a non-aqueous phase comprising a first type of solvent and a second type of solvent. In some embodiments, the first type of solvent is a long chain hydrocarbon. In some embodiments, the second type of solvent is an oxygenated solvent. Abstract: Compositions comprising a neutral surfactant or a reaction product thereof and a reaction product of a saccharide polymer and a fatty acid may be obtained in the presence of water and a hydroxide base (optionally in the presence of the neutral surfactant), the saccharide polymer comprising a dextran, a dextrin compound, or any combination thereof. The reaction product of the saccharide polymer and the fatty acid may be present at a concentration effective to lower surface tension of the neutral surfactant. Depending on the fatty acid identity, among other factors, the compositions may promote emulsification or de-emulsification. In addition, the compositions may promote foam formation under appropriate conditions. Treatment fluids comprising the compositions, including foamed treatment fluids, may be introduced into a subterranean formation to perform a treatment operation in which fluid emulsification or de-emulsification may occur.
