Abstract: A synchronization control device configured to synchronize media play between at least two remote devices is disclosed. The synchronization control device includes: an input for receiving data indicating a point in a play of media content on a first remote media play device; and a synchronization controller module configured to align the point of play of media content on a first remote media play device with a point of play of the media content at a second remote media play device; and delivering commands to the first remote media play device and the second remote media display device, wherein the commands control the first remote media play device and the second remote media play device to substantially synchronize the play of the media content in the first remote media play device and the second remote media play device.

Abstract: The present disclosure incudes a fiber optic cable having a conduit including a conduit wall defining a conduit passage that extends longitudinally through the conduit. The conduit also includes an adhesive injection port defined through the conduit wall and at least one optical fiber within the conduit passage. The cable further includes a fiber lock including an adhesive volume in communication with the adhesive injection port. The adhesive volume includes a main adhesive volume positioned within the conduit passage and bonded to the optical fiber. The main adhesive volume is fixed to prevent longitudinal movement relative to the conduit.

Abstract: A wireless device, receives configuration parameters of: a first resource for a first channel, of a carrier, for transmitting first feedback; and a second resource for a second channel of the carrier for transmitting second feedback. The first resource and the second resource overlap in one or more symbol durations. Power levels are determined comprising: a first power level for transmission of the first feedback via the first resource; and a second power level for transmission of the second feedback via the second resource. In response to a sum of the power levels being larger than an allowed transmission power, a configured transmission of the first feedback via the first resource is dropped. The dropping is based on a first priority of the first channel. The second feedback is transmitted via the second resource.

Abstract: Embodiments include systems and techniques to perform secure transactions including processing registration information for each computing device of a plurality of computing devices having authority over a financial account. In one example, embodiments include receiving a pending transaction against the financial account from a computing device. Embodiments include executing an authentication protocol to determine the computing device is a member of the plurality of computing devices based upon the registration information, and processing data identifying another computing device within a configurable distance from the computing device. Embodiments further include the system to execute the authentication protocol to determine the other computing device is a member of the plurality of computing devices based upon the registration information and bypass a portion of a security procedure for authorizing execution of the pending transaction.

Abstract: Plastic containers and methods of forming the same are described. In some cases, the container is a recyclable multilayer extrusion blow-molded plastic container comprising high-density polyethylene with an enhanced oxygen barrier properties. The containers may be used for direct and non-direct food contact packaging, liquid packaging, as well as in aseptic packaging applications. The containers can have an oxygen transmission rate, according to ASTM D3985, of less than 10 cc/m2.day. The containers can be recycled in the HDPE recycling stream.

Abstract: Among other things, a communication system comprising at least one remote unit and controller is described. The at least one remote unit wirelessly exchanges radio frequency (RF) signals with mobile devices. Each RF signal comprises information destined for, or originating from, at least one of the mobile devices. The at least two remote units and the controller communicate baseband data corresponding to the information across an intermediate network. The at least two remote units each implement at least some physical layer processing for an air interface used to wirelessly communicate with the subscriber devices. The controller is configured to perform at least some receive signal processing using combined data resulting from combining at least some of the baseband data communicated from more than one of the at least two remote units.

Abstract: An example method of wireless data transmission may include obtaining, by a data link layer, a first data frame from a network layer, the first data frame for wireless transmission and obtaining, by the data link layer, a second data frame from the network layer, the second data frame for wireless transmission. The method may further include coding, at the data link layer, the first data frame together with the second data frame to generate a third data frame and encoding a first signal with the third data frame using a first frequency segment. The method may further include providing the first signal for wireless transmission.

Abstract: A method in an embodiment includes detecting a change for a virtual machine in a virtual server of a virtual network infrastructure, determining whether a virtual security appliance is configured in the virtual server, and sending a request to create the virtual security appliance in the virtual server. The method further includes allowing the virtual machine to initiate when the virtual security appliance is created in the virtual machine. The virtual security appliance performs security inspections on network packets sent from the virtual machine. In more specific embodiments, the method further includes creating an intercept mechanism in the virtual server to intercept the network packets from the virtual machine. In further embodiments, one or more security policies identify one or more virtual security appliances to process the network packets from the virtual machine.

Based on the determining, the wireless device ignores the uplink grant by not transmitting via a first PUSCH resource of the uplink grant.

Abstract: This disclosure describes an online social and collaborative commerce system and method thereof that provides an interactive and virtual personal shopping experience through a platform that facilitates direct selling of products or services. The experience may utilizes a network of independent representatives, consultants or stylist to sell the products or services to consumers or guests. In one illustrative embodiment, information is received from a hostess to begin a direct selling event. A stylist may be matched with the event and a set of hostess' guests are invited. Using this information, a specific website for the event is generated. A stylist portal, hostess portal and at least one guest portal to the specific website is launched for the event. Through the stylist portal, a selection of products or services may be displayed on the at least one guest portal for purchase. The hostess portal may be used to facilitate the event.

Abstract: A device for supporting and/or holding a young child or infant is described which includes a simplicity of function, having limited components for operation of the device. The device includes a unique form (unique overall shape and design). The device comprises a top, a bottom, an outer edge forming a periphery (with or without a lip at the outer edge), and an air or gas bladder contained between the top and the bottom, and bounded by at least a portion of the outer edge. The device comprises a plurality of internal seams, at least one for forming a first wing region on a first side of a centrally located body region of the device, and at least one for forming a second wing region on a second side of the centrally located body region. The device is not only lightweight, it is also collapsible, foldable, and portable, easy to assemble, easy to operate, easy to carry, is safe when assembled, and compact when collapsed, making it suitable for home use and/or designed for travel.

Abstract: Various embodiments are directed to enhancing a card payment experience by a single tap of a contactless card to a user computing device. In examples, the single tap of the card may be preconfigured to cause automatic payment of a predefined amount toward a card balance. If the single tap is not preconfigured to mean automatic card payment, the user may be presented with a notification and various payment amount options, which the user can select to pay toward the card balance.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are microfluidic devices and systems for amplifying and detecting a target polynucleotide, comprising: one or more wells for receiving one or more substrates; a droplet generation channel in fluid communication with the one or more wells, wherein the microfluidic channel is adapted to generate droplets; and a chamber in fluid communication with the droplet generation channel, and adapted to collect droplets generated by the droplet generation channel, and further adapted to perform nucleic acid amplification in droplets, and further adapted to detect light signal from droplets. Also disclosed are methods of using the same.

Abstract: An improved rotating control device, having a spool and removable bearing assembly, provides a self-contained hydraulic reservoir that can be operated with standard air pressures from an air hose or other readily available source, eliminating traditional surface hydraulic power units (HPUs). Hydraulically operated pistons can be spring biased to close latching elements around the bearing assembly. Hydraulic fluid can be forced from the self-contained hydraulic reservoir through flow paths to hydraulic cylinders to force the pistons to retract radially outward to release the bearing assembly for removal. The bearing assembly can include a lubricant reservoir to supply gravity-fed or pressurized lubrication for internal roller bearings. The bearing assembly can further include a rotary seal in several embodiments that efficiently reduces risks of dropping bolts on personnel and in the wellbore.

The access barring check may be for an access attempt that is associated with at least one of a first access category and a first access identity. The at least one of the first access category and the first access identity may be associated with a wireless device of a reduced capability type. The reduced capability type may be associated with reduced capabilities compared to a non-reduced capability type. The wireless device may determine, based on the access barring check and using the one or more access control parameters, whether the access attempt is barred or allowed.
