Abstract: A system and method of calibrating a broadcast video feed are disclosed herein. A computing system retrieves a plurality of broadcast video feeds that include a plurality of video frames. The computing system generates a trained neural network, by generating a plurality of training data sets based on the broadcast video feed and learning, by the neural network, to generate a homography matrix for each frame of the plurality of frames. The computing system receives a target broadcast video feed for a target sporting event. The computing system partitions the target broadcast video feed into a plurality of target frames. The computing system generates for each target frame in the plurality of target frames, via the neural network, a target homography matrix. The computing system calibrates the target broadcast video feed by warping each target frame by a respective target homography matrix.

Abstract: A circuit and method for detecting a failure of a switching power device is disclosed. The circuit and method utilize a Kelvin connection of a four-terminal configuration of the switching power device to sense a resistance of at least one wire-bond. The resistance corresponds to a defect or defects in the at least one wire-bond and so it can be used to detect a failure before damage occurs. A threshold used for detecting the failure can be adjusted to accommodate variations in the switching power device and/or the application in which it is being used. Additionally, the failure detection is carried out at a period after the switching power device is turned ON to prevent switching transients from affecting the detection.

Abstract: Systems, methods and compositions to produce fine powders are described. These include forming a hypereutectic melt including a target material, a sacrificial-matrix material, and an impurity, rapidly cooling the hypereutectic melt to form a hypereutectic alloy having a first phase and a second phase, annealing the hypereutectic alloy to alter a morphology of the target material to thereby produce target particles, and removing the sacrificial matrix to thereby produce a fine powder of the target particles. The first phase is defined by the target material and the second phase is defined by the sacrificial-matrix material. The sacrificial-matrix material forms a sacrificial matrix having the target material dispersed therethrough.

Abstract: Analysis of a breath sample is a noninvasive point-of-care tool with ever increasing screening and clinical applicability. Herein we describe a method to analyze the content of low-level, trace volatile organic compounds from alveolar breath captured as a breath sample from a patient suspected of having a disease related to coronavirus infection. The breath sample is then analyzed using a gas phase analysis methodology, such as gas chromatography-mass spectroscopy (“GCMS”), to generate an analysis result, such as a GCMS spectrum. A computer system is then used to develop a fingerprint pattern from the analysis result. The fingerprint pattern is then used to determine a patient status for the patient. The fingerprint pattern is typically a grouping of 75 to 450 compounds of known concentration which are indicative of a particular disease related to coronavirus.
