Abstract: Analysis of a breath sample is a noninvasive point-of-care tool with ever increasing screening and clinical applicability. Herein we describe a method to analyze the content of low-level, trace volatile organic compounds from alveolar breath captured as a breath sample from a patient suspected of having a disease related to coronavirus infection. The breath sample is then analyzed using a gas phase analysis methodology, such as gas chromatography-mass spectroscopy (“GCMS”), to generate an analysis result, such as a GCMS spectrum. A computer system is then used to develop a fingerprint pattern from the analysis result. The fingerprint pattern is then used to determine a patient status for the patient. The fingerprint pattern is typically a grouping of 75 to 450 compounds of known concentration which are indicative of a particular disease related to coronavirus.

Abstract: Systems, methods and computer-readable media are provided for controlling environmental conditions to control latent and sensible loads in a plant grow chamber. The density of plant-0 receptacles in the grow chamber is such that, when plants are held in the plurality of plant receptacles, evapotranspiration contributes to the latent load so that the latent load exceeds a sensible load, resulting in evapotranspirative cooling. This shift in the energy balance allows for greater energy savings, as compared with conventional indoor farms that focus on removing heat from the growth environment. Environmental conditions may be controlled to achieved desired conditions, such as the optimum ratio of harvest weight yield to energy consumption under given constraints. Light modules for enabling plant growth suitable for controlled environment agriculture are also described.

Abstract: Protection and recovery is provided for an allocation unit of data that is in-flight between a source device and a target device of a storage system during a systemic failure by selecting between corresponding source device and target device metadata based on consistency and reciprocal linkage. If logical volume metadata for the allocation unit of the data in volatile memory is not consistent with logical volume metadata for the allocation unit in non-volatile storage, then the allocation unit is recovered from the source device. If target device metadata for the data in volatile memory is not consistent with target device metadata for the data in non-volatile storage, then the allocation unit is recovered from the source device. If linkage between logical volume metadata for the allocation unit and target device metadata for the data is not reciprocal, then the allocation unit is recovered from the source device.

Abstract: A firearm has a trigger shield configured as a protective loop surrounding a first and second switch of the firearm. Each switch actuates the function of the firearm when activated by a finger to start the firing process. The first switch is on a first side of the protective loop and the second switch is on a second side of the protective loop. Further, the firearm has an emitter mounted on the trigger shield that propagates a light beam to a receiver mounted on an opposite side of the trigger shield. When a finger depresses one of the switches, his/her finger is blocking the light beam and the firearm will not activate and when the finger is moved away from the light beam, the firearm discharges.
