  • Patent number: 11141849
Abstract: A staple gun and a method of using the same. A stapling mechanism in the housing is activated to deliver a staple through an aperture in a housing wall and drive the staple into a surface around a stack of one or more electric cables. The gun includes a reciprocating cable guide for centering the gun on the stack of cables and closing a safety switch to permit the gun's trigger to be activated. A spacer extending outwardly from the housing wall rests on the upper surface of the cable stack. The spacer and a bumper that engages a hammer of the stapling mechanism provide for automatic depth adjustment when driving the staple into the surface. A reciprocating cable guard extending outwardly from the housing wall is positioned between the stack of cables and the staple to aid in preventing the staple from piercing the cable.

  • Patent number: 11144598
Abstract: The described technology is generally directed towards quasi-listing table entries that facilitate the efficient return of an object list in response to a query for relevant objects in a data storage system. A quasi-listing table entry is created when an object is created, and subsequently converted to a normal listing table entry. A normal listing table entry is converted to a quasi-listing table entry when an object is deleted, with the quasi-listing table entry subsequently deleted. When an object list request is received, a normal listing table entry can be used directly to add to the object list; only if a quasi-listing table entry is encountered (before it can be converted or deleted) does the object table need to be accessed to determine if the object actually exists. This eliminates most object table accesses, including those in remote geographic zones, thereby making object listing significantly more efficient.

  • Patent number: 11146827
Abstract: A system and method of reducing blocking artifacts and providing enhanced coding efficiency based, as least in part, upon evaluation of relative smoothness of signals at a coding boundary. In some embodiments, a boundary threshold difference can be established beyond which it is determined that the difference is representative of a natural or intended boundary and filtering can be applied to those boundaries having differences below the boundary threshold difference. In some further embodiments, the ramps of the signal across the boundary can be evaluated to determine whether weak or strong filtering might be appropriate. In some further embodiments, weak filtering can be performed that reduces blocking artifacts, improves coding efficiency, but does not distort ramp signals across the boundary.

  • Patent number: 11143133
Abstract: A fuel control system obtains a measured amount of fuel consumed by an engine and one or more corresponding operating parameters of the engine and determines a fuel consumption modeled amount based at least in part on a fuel consumption model of the engine and the one or more operating parameters. The fuel consumption model associates different amounts of fuel that, when supplied to the engine, generate corresponding designated outputs of the engine. The system also determines one or more differentials between the measured amount of fuel and the modeled amount and, responsive to the one or more of the differentials exceeding a threshold value, the system identifies one or more components of the powered system that contribute or cause the one or more differentials and/or changes an amount of fuel supplied to the engine according to the fuel consumption model to obtain a desired output of the engine.

  • Patent number: 11144604
Abstract: An aggregated performance reporting system includes a computing system in communication with a database that stores element records associated with the elements of a distributed computing environment. The computing system stores instructions that are executed to receive a search term from a user interface, and identify a count of each element type that matches the search term. The instructions then identify one or more aggregated performance indicators that are associated with each element type, issue a request to the database to retrieve those element records having the identified element types, calculate the aggregated performance indicators using parametric information included in the retrieved element records, and facilitate the display of the calculated aggregated performance indicators on a display.

  • Patent number: 11146437
Abstract: A base station may generate and transmit a transport stream including a sequence of frames. A frame may include a plurality of partitions, where each partition includes a corresponding set of OFDM symbols. For each partition, the OFDM symbols in that partition may have a corresponding cyclic prefix size and a corresponding FFT size, allowing different partitions to be targeted for different collections of user devices, e.g., user devices having different expected values of maximum delay spread and/or different ranges of mobility. The base station may also dynamically re-configure the sample rate of each frame, allowing further resolution in control of subcarrier spacing. By allowing the cyclic prefixes of different OFDM symbols to have different lengths, it is feasible to construct a frame that confirms to a set payload duration and has arbitrary values of cyclic prefix size per partition and FFT size per partition. The partitions may be multiplexed in time and/or frequency.

  • Patent number: 11141355
Abstract: A direct filling composite resin restorative featuring a CTE that is similar to dentin and an antimicrobial is disclosed. The exemplary anti-microbial compound is zinc oxide. The CTE of the direct filling composite resin restorative is in the range of 12-15 ppm/° C. The low CTE is achieved by high filler loading of a trimodal distribution of low CTE filler. By maintaining a CTE substantially similar to that of dentin, the “Marginal Percolation” phenomenon is minimized, which decreases the incidence of secondary caries.
