The system comprises a first section comprising at least one flow control structure. The at least one flow structure is typically configured to capture a predetermined byproduct. The system further comprises a second section comprising a stilling basin. The second section is coupled to the first section by a connection structure.

In one embodiment, a method includes: receiving, by a processor, vehicle position data from the vehicle; processing, by the processor, vehicle position data with vehicle position data from other vehicles to determine a lane topology; processing, by the processor, the vehicle position data to determine traffic conditions within a lane of the lane topology; generating, by the processor, a map for controlling the vehicle based on the lane topology and the traffic conditions.

Abstract: An emergency dispatch system may determine that an emergency vehicle has been dispatched to a predefined gated community, based on a dispatch address being within the gated community. The system may access a database to obtain a custom map pre-associated with the gated community. The system may also determine a path to an emergency location within the gated community, based on the custom map and send the path and the custom map to the vehicle, responsive to determining the path.

Abstract: Novel nutritional compositions and methods for their manufacture, administration and use are disclosed. The nutritional compositions of the present invention are useful for the feeding of immature mammals, particularly those used for food, and/or performance animals, such as horses, and for companion animals, such as dogs and cats. The nutritional compositions and supplements of the present invention are effective in supporting the growth and health of the immature mammal, in supporting and stimulating its immune system, and in mitigating undesirable infections and other. Additionally, particular fractions of the unique peptides produced by the disclosed methods can be separated and utilized as therapeutic agents.

Abstract: A heating element for a cooking appliance includes terminals that act as electrically conductive contact points. One or more buses are arranged between the terminals, and connect one or more heating element segments in a zig-zag configuration. The heating element segments are connected in series and are arranged parallel with one another. Each heating element segment includes a plurality of cutouts linked together and having an elliptical shape. The terminals, heating element segments, and buses are a continuous single sheet of conductive material. A method of making the heating element includes forming a pattern into the sheet of conductive material by etching the pattern into the conductive sheet using photolithography.

Abstract: A scope system is provided including an elongate tube with a distal portion and a lumen extending therethrough. The scope system also includes at least one accessory channel including a tubular structure with an accessory lumen extending therethrough, the at least one accessory channel movably disposed at least partially within the lumen of the elongate tube. The at least one accessory channel includes a distal section and a forward-viewing configuration and a side-viewing configuration. In the forward-viewing configuration, the distal section of the at least one accessory channel is substantially parallel to the distal portion of the elongate tube and in the side-viewing configuration, the distal section of the at least one accessory channel is arced at a radius greater than a radius of the distal portion of the elongate tube.

The TDM pilot sequence may be spread with a second channelization code. The composite signal may have a pre-defined portion of a time slot where the CDM pilot sequence is non-cyclic. The TDM pilot sequence may have a cyclic structure within the pre-defined portion of the time slot.

Abstract: The system generally includes a crosspoint switch in a local data collection system having multiple inputs and multiple outputs including a first input connected to a first sensor and a second input connected to a second sensor. The multiple outputs include a first output and a second output configured to be switchable between a condition in which the first output is configured to switch between delivery of a first sensor signal and a second sensor signal and a condition in which there is simultaneous delivery of the first sensor signal and the second sensor signal. Each of multiple inputs is configured to be individually assigned to any of the multiple outputs. The local data collection system includes multiple data acquisition units each having an onboard card set configured to store calibration information and maintenance history. The local data collection system is configured to manage data collection bands.

In one example of the technology, a first hologram is caused to be displayed to an operator with a first gaze selection area that is associated with a first selectable option. A gaze location that is associated with a gaze of the operator is evaluated. Responsive to the gaze location coinciding with the first gaze selection area of the first hologram, a first gaze dwell timer is begun. A total duration of the first gaze dwell timer is adjusted based on the gaze location being in a specific portion of the first gaze selection area. Responsive to the gaze dwell timer finishing, the first selectable option is caused to be selected.

Abstract: A system includes a behind-the-meter vehicle charging station. The vehicle charging station includes a vehicle-charging interface configured to supply the vehicle-charging power to a vehicle. The vehicle charging station further includes a communication unit configured to trigger a notification in response to a change in power availability. Additionally, the system includes a control system configured to modulate power delivery to the behind-the-meter charging station based on one or more monitored power system conditions or an operational directive.

Abstract: A hemostatic device for promoting the clotting of blood includes a gauze substrate, a clay material disposed on the gauze substrate, and also a polyol such as glycerol or the like disposed on the gauze substrate to bind the clay material. When the device is used to treat a bleeding wound, at least a portion of the clay material comes into contact with blood emanating from the wound to cause the clotting. A bandage that can be applied to a bleeding wound to promote the clotting of blood includes a flexible substrate and a gauze substrate mounted thereon. The gauze substrate includes a clay material and a polyol. A hemostatic sponge also includes a gauze substrate and a dispersion of hemostatic material and a polyol on a first surface of the substrate.

Abstract: The workforce design method and tool provide answers to basic logistical human resources questions such as how many people need to be staffed, what kinds of qualifications are needed, when is the staffing needed, and how efficiently are employees being utilized. The methodology and tool apply to direct labor, indirect labor and resource allocations. The methodology and tool provide previously unseen levels of staffing granularity and output period forecasting. Staffing requirements can be ascertained at any level of organizational granularity. The methodology and tool can also show staffing demands in different work areas and departments enabling the dynamic staffing of the right number of people, at the right time, with the right qualifications, in the right work areas and job families for efficient allocation. This is a bottom up approach to staffing where headcounts are determined at any desired level of organizational granularity.

A removable base may close off a bottom opening of the tube and conduct heat to or from a container placed within the vessel. A top may partially close off a top opening of the tube. The top may include an annulus of elastomeric material. The annulus may have a plurality of resilient tabs extending radially inward toward a central axis of the tube. When a container such as a bottle of wine is placed within a vessel, the tabs of the annulus may resiliently deflect as needed to accommodate the container and then restrict air exchange between an ambient environment and a space located interior to the inner wall of the tube and exterior to the container.

Abstract: In some examples, a computer system may receiving a request to allow a second user associated with a second user account to access at least one of a folder or a link associated with a first user account of a first user. The computer system may determine a first profile associated with the first user account, and may further determine whether sharing whitelisting is enabled for the first profile. Additionally, the computer system may determine a second profile associated with the second user account, and may determine whether the second profile is included in a sharing whitelist of the first profile. When sharing whitelisting is enabled for the first profile, the computer system may allow a client device associated with the second user account to access the folder and/or the link when the second profile is included in the sharing whitelist of the first profile.

Abstract: A scanner scans a group of documents. For example, the documents can be a group of invoices. The documents are received and processed. Objects (e.g., a text object, such as a word) and their locations are identified in each of the documents. Occurrences of similar objects in the identified locations between the documents are determined. A document sorting algorithm is applied to generate a score for each of the documents. The score for each of the documents is generated based on a number of occurrences of similar objects between the documents. The generated score of each of the documents is used to identify a template document. The template document is then used to cluster the documents.
