  • Patent number: 11090443
Abstract: A single-use cover assembly that obscures a substantial majority or an entirety of an injection needle from view before, during, and after an injection procedure. The cover assembly includes a housing and a needle sleeve that retracts and extends by sliding axially within the housing. The needle sleeve carries a locking collar that moves from a first position to a second position once the needle sleeve is fully retracted. In the first position the locking collar allows retraction of the needle sleeve from a fully extended position. In the second position, a portion of the locking collar covers a tip of the needle, thereby preventing retraction of the needle sleeve from the fully extended position.

  • Patent number: 11092719
Abstract: A dot array illuminator includes an illumination source that includes one or more source arrays and a microlens array (MLA). A source array is an array of light emitting components. The source arrays are positioned on a substrate according to a geometric configuration. The MLA includes lens arrays that are arranged in a similar geometric configuration. The microlens array are separated from the source arrays by a distance and are substantially parallel to the source arrays. The microlens array overlaps with the source arrays and is of a dimension such that it can receive substantially all light emitted by the illumination source. The illumination source emits light towards the MLA. The MLA receives the light and outputs structured pattern light by interpolating received light.

  • Patent number: 11093333
Abstract: Described is a system that recovers multiple virtual machines (or other computing resource) by leveraging similarities between recovery (or backup) data. The system may identify the recovery data for a particular virtual machine as a primary set of data using specialized calculations and/or heuristics. The system may leverage this primary set of data by replicating a data storage for the remaining number of virtual machines to be recovered. The system may then determine a remaining (or differing) set of data for each of the remaining virtual machines to be recovered. Accordingly, the system may only be required to rehydrate the differing set of data chunks and write those data chunks to the data storage associated with each recovery virtual machine. These recovery virtual machines may then be used to restore corresponding virtual machines within a production environment.

  • Patent number: 11093813
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for identifying answers to questions using neural networks. One of the methods includes receiving an input text passage and an input question string; processing the input text passage using an encoder neural network to generate a respective encoded representation for each passage token in the input text passage; at each time step: processing a decoder input using a decoder neural network to update the internal state of the decoder neural network; and processing the respective encoded representations and a preceding output of the decoder neural network using a matching vector neural network to generate a matching vector for the time step; and generating an answer score that indicates how well the input text passage answers a question posed by the input question string.

  • Patent number: 11094075
Abstract: In one embodiment, a system may access a training sample that includes training images and corresponding training depth maps of a scene, with the training images being associated with different predetermined viewpoints of the scene. The system may generate elemental images of the scene by processing the training images and the training depth maps using a machine-learning model. The elemental images are associated with more viewpoints of the scene than the predetermined viewpoints associated with the training images. The system may update the machine-learning model based on a comparison between the generated elemental images of the scene and target elemental images that are each associated with a predetermined viewpoint. The updated machine-learning model is configured to generate elemental images of a scene of interest based on input images and corresponding depth maps of the scene of interest from different viewpoints.

  • Patent number: 11093383
Abstract: Methods that can facilitate more optimized relocation of data associated with a memory are presented. In addition to a memory controller component, a memory manager component can be employed to increase available processing resources to facilitate more optimal execution of higher level functions. Higher level functions can be delegated to the memory manager component to allow execution of these higher level operations with reduced or no load on the memory controller component resources. A uni-bus or multi-bus architecture can be employed to further optimize data relocation operations. A first bus can be utilized for data access operations including read, write, erase, refresh, or combinations thereof, among others, while a second bus can be designated for higher level operations including data compaction, error code correction, wear leveling, or combinations thereof, among others.

A multidimensional composite sandwich structure includes first and second (skin) layers formed from a thermoset of thermoplastic polymer matrix, such as resin or nylon, filled with a fiber reinforcing material, such as chopped carbon fibers. A third (core) layer, which is encased between the first and second skin layers, is formed from a thermoset/thermoplastic polymer matrix filled with a fiber reinforcing material and a filler material, such as hollow glass microspheres. The first, second and third layers have respective rheological flow properties that are substantially similar such that all three layers flow in unison at a predetermined compression molding pressure.

  • Patent number: 11093861
Abstract: Techniques for controlling item frequency using machine learning are provides. In one technique, two prediction models are trained: one based on interaction history of multiple content items by multiple entities and the other based on predicted interaction rates and an impression count for each of multiple content items. In response to a request, a particular entity associated with the request is identified and multiple candidate content items are identified. For each identified candidate content item, the first prediction model is used to determine a predicted interaction rate, an impression count of the candidate content item is determined with respect to the particular entity, the second prediction model is used to generate an adjustment based on the impression count, and an adjusted entity interaction rate is generated based on the predicted interaction rate and the adjustment. A particular candidate content item is selected based on the generated adjusted entity interaction rates.
