Abstract: A system and method for managing information related to marine activities and selectively sharing such information is provided. The system is designed to collect environmental data and create buoy profiles that may be analyzed by users to scout environmental conditions that may be conducive to catching fish in certain geolocations. Buoy profiles are updated in real time by fisherman using the system. The system is also designed to collect information pertaining to a catch and create an activity profile that may be analyzed by users to scout optimal geolocations in which to catch fish. A user's activity profiles may be shared with other users or kept private depending on permission levels within the system. Additionally, the system is designed to alert users of dangerous weather conditions and optimal fishing geolocations based on the buoy profiles and environmental states created by the system.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to an artificial turf filament formed from a formulation comprising an ethylene-based polymer having a density 0.900 g/c to 0.955 g/cc and a melt index (I2) of 0.1 g/10 min to 20 g/10 min as measured according to ASTM D1238 (at 190° C., 2.16 kg), and one or more polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) components having a number average molecular weight (Mn) of from 10,000 g/mol to 500,000 g/mol, wherein the Mn is measured by Gel Permeation Chromatography (GPC).

Abstract: Methods and systems for redirection of requests received by a service or an API are provided. According to one embodiment, a request, relating to a domain or a focal point of related data (e.g., an OData entity), is received from a client by a service (e.g., an OData service) operable to serve data from a data source or an in-memory cache. When the request involves manipulation of a portion of the data, automatic updating of values of the data that are dependent thereon is facilitated by directing fulfilment of the request to the cache; otherwise: it is determined whether to fulfill the request based on the in-memory cache. When the determination is affirmative, then the portion of the data is retrieved from the in-memory cache. When the determination is negative, then the portion of the data is retrieved from the data source.

Abstract: Systems and methods described herein can provide a restricted environment for the local execution of server provided processor-executable instructions. The restricted environment can be maintained by a web browser to enable sandboxed generation of content requests by the web browser during the rendering of web pages. The restricted environment can enable the web browser to control the generation and transmission of content requests.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are a reversible bone plate template and a method for using the same to size an implant. The bone plate template may include first and second portions. The second portion may be wider than the first portion and asymmetrical about a longitudinal axis. A section between the first and second portions may allow the second portion to be moved between first and second positions such that either a first or a second surface may be a bone contacting surface. A method for sizing an implant with a bone plate template may include determining whether a first or second surface is to be placed on bone, moving a portion of the bone plate template, placing it on bone and selecting an implant based upon the bone plate template.

Abstract: A surgical instrument includes a mount body, a joint member, an arm, and a working end. The mount body has a top portion, a distal end, a proximal end and a bottom portion. The joint member is pivotally mounted at a distal end portion of the mount body, to allow positioning of a proximal portion of an arm extending distally from the joint member. The joint member is also configured to at least partially constrain movement of the proximal portion of the arm to a plane. The working end is mounted to a distal end portion of the arm. The surgical instrument can be configured as a heart stabilizer or a heart positioner. The joint member may further be configured as a slotted ball, a disk member, or a combination thereof.

A geometry of the first path and the second path selected is based on a subcool of the fluid at a pressure of the fluid entering the fluid channel, and the geometry is selected to induce cavitation of the fluid to choke fluid flow through the fluid channel.

Abstract: A method for execution by a node of a computing device includes determining a plurality of queries for concurrent execution. A plurality of sets of segments required to execute the plurality of queries is determined, and a set of virtual segments in the plurality of sets of segments is determined. A subset of the set of virtual segments is be determined by identifying ones of the set of virtual segments that are required to execute multiple ones of plurality of queries. A locally rebuilt set of rows for each of the set of virtual segments is generated by utilizing a recovery scheme. For each one of the set of virtual segments included in the subset, in response to generating the locally rebuilt set of rows, concurrent partial execution of corresponding multiple ones of the plurality of queries is facilitated.

Abstract: A method including obtaining image data and attribute information of a first item in an item catalog. The method also can include generating candidate variant items from the item catalog for the first item using a combination of (a) a k-nearest neighbors approach to search for first candidate variant items based on text embeddings for the attribute information of the first item, and (b) an elastic search approach to search for second candidate variant items based on image embeddings for the image data of the first item. The method additionally can include performing respective classifications based on respective pairs comprising the first item and each of the candidate variant items to filter the candidate variant items. The method further can include determining a respective distance between the first item and each of the candidate variant items, as filtered.
