Abstract: A lubricant formulation which is effective to remove or prevent carbon deposits in internal combustion engines has a solvency as defined by aniline point from about 20 to about 115, a volatility (as measured by NOACK) of less than 15%, an oxidative stability (as measured by PDSC) of above 40 minutes and a base oil viscosity of above 2 and below 10 cSt. The lubricant formulation can be formed from a blend of Group III, IV and V lubricants, in particularly polyalphaolefins, alkylated naphthalenes and polar Group V base stocks such as polyol esters. The carbon deposits can be removed from the engine piston by simply running the engine with the lubricant for one required cycle, or can be used continuously in the engine to prevent buildup.

Abstract: Entity resolution techniques for matching entity records from different data sources are provided. In one technique, an entity record from a source database is identified along with multiple data items included therein. Each data item corresponds to an attribute of multiple source attributes. For one of the data items that corresponds to a first source attribute, multiple target attributes are identified. A first query is generated that includes the data items and associates the data item with each of the multiple target attributes. A second query that is different than the first query is also generated. Two searches are performed of a target database: one based on the first query and the other based on the second query. A scoring model generates multiple scores, one for each search result. It is determined whether the entity record matches an entity record in the target database based on the set of scores.

Abstract: The breastfeeding device present in the invention, simulates natural breastfeeding experience and delivers fluid, milk or infant formula to the nursing infant in a contactless or latch free manner than any prior art in this field. This device integrates physical sensors to the breastfeeding device and includes a neck strap, refillable housing chamber that contains fluid, a tubing that connects the housing chamber to a prosthetic nipple via a sealing attachment and a prosthetic nipple for infant latching to nurse. The invention is a notable step forward in creating an effective, safe and contactless nursing which mitigates and prevents bruised, sore nipples or engorged breasts.
Abstract: A shell form and a method of using the shell form requires a wire form and a wire clip, a tortilla placed therebetween during the time that the tortilla is cooked in hot oil forming a taco shell.
Abstract: The disclosed technology provides a method that improves CCT in SMR device systems. In one implementation, the method comprises writing data to a shingled magnetic recording (SMR) band in a storage device, determining whether an off-track write has occurred, identifying unsafe written data in response to determining that an off-track write has occurred, determining whether caching space is available upon identifying unsafe written data, continue writing data to the SMR band without a write retry upon determining that caching space is available, and writing unsafe written data to the available caching space. In another implementation, the method comprises receiving a request to repair an encroached track in an SMR band, recovering encroached data to a dynamic random-access memory, determining whether caching space is available, writing the recovered data to the available caching space upon determining that caching space is available, and merging other cached data in the SMR band.
Abstract: A method according to an exemplary aspect of the present disclosure includes, among other things, controlling a vehicle system to refine a travel range estimation of an electrified vehicle if a desired destination cannot be reached under current driving conditions. The controlling step includes warning a driver about a travel range based on the driver's driving habits, coaching the driver to modify the driving habits, and adjusting operation of at least one vehicle subsystem.
Abstract: Exemplified methods and systems provide a graphical HMI having an interface that mitigate or prevent touch errors and/or inadvertent touches through the use of multiple touch inputs, at a graphical user interface, of a touch-screen input device, to trigger an associated user interface command. In some embodiments, the multiple touch inputs comprise an input at two locations, one in relative association, with a displayed interface command, to trigger the command.
Abstract: In some embodiments, a method receives one or more segments for content from a first content delivery network during a playback session for the content. The content includes a number of segments. The method evaluates buffer occupancy of a buffer configured to store segments of the content for playback and evaluates a number of times of a failure to download a segment for the content. The buffer occupancy is compared to a first threshold and the number of times of the failure to a second threshold. The method determines a switch from the first content delivery network to a second content delivery network during the playback session based on the comparing.

Abstract: Timing synchronization information is communicated to a plurality of indoor communications devices supporting NB-IoT, e.g., indoor CBSDs supporting NB-IoT, from an outdoor communications device, e.g. a cellular base station supporting NB-IoT signaling using guard bands of a communications channel. An indoor device receiving the timing synchronization information from the outdoor device via NB-IoT signaling may, and sometimes does, process and forward synchronization information to other indoor devices, e.g. other CBSDs, which may be out of direct range of the outdoor device. In some embodiments, a plurality of outdoor base stations supporting NB-IoT receive timing reference information for distribution from the same NPT server coupled to a single reference source, e.g. an atomic clock.
Abstract: An apparatus includes a transceiver and one or more optics. The transceiver is configured to transmit a transmit signal from a laser source in a transmission mode and to receive a return signal reflected by an object in a receive mode. The one or more optics are configured to spatially separate the transmission mode and the receive mode by optically changing a distance between the transmit signal and the return signal.

Abstract: A hydrostatic/hydrodynamic fluid bearing assembly for a can bodymaker is provided. The hydrostatic/hydrodynamic fluid bearing assembly is separate from the ram body. The outboard guide bearing assembly includes a carriage assembly and a number of elongated journals. The carriage assembly includes a ram coupling, a crank coupling, and body defining a number of journal passages. The ram body is coupled to a ram coupling. The crank coupling is structured to be coupled to a crank arm. Each journal extends through a carriage assembly body journal passage. In this configuration, the ram body may form a can body in a traditional manner, but fluid bearing assembly fluid is not applied to the ram body. Instead, the fluid bearing assembly fluid is applied to the journals.
