  • Patent number: 11077223
Abstract: A method of promoting hemostasis in the mouth or oral cavity utilizes a non-absorbent, low surface energy and highly conformable non-disruptive hemostasis material. Traditional wound packing material is highly absorbent and has large open surfaces that allow clot forming materials, such as the platelet plug to adhere to the packing material and whereupon removal, the clot is disrupted. A non-disruptive highly conformable hemostasis material does not have large open pores and therefore does not adhere to forming clots. A non-disruptive hemostasis material may consist of expanded polytetrafluoroethylene that has a pore size of no more than about 10 microns. A non-disruptive hemostasis material may comprise a thin film of material over a portion of the outside surface that is non-absorbent and thin to allow for conforming into an oral cavity, such as from a tooth extraction. A thin film may cover porous material, such as a foam, that may be elastomeric.

  • Patent number: 11082399
Abstract: A method of communicating data traffic including data packets through a virtual switch on a host device is provided. The data traffic flowing through the virtual switch is monitored. The data traffic includes at least virtual machine data traffic flowing to and from virtual machine processes on the host device and host data traffic flowing to and from host operating system processes on the host device. Each of the data packets are designated as virtual machine data traffic or host data traffic based on an evaluation of the Media Access Controller (MAC) address of each of the one or more data packets of the monitored data traffic. Virtual machine data traffic is directed through a packet processor as the virtual machine data traffic traverses the virtual switch. Host data traffic is directed to bypass the packet processor as the host data traffic traverses the virtual switch.

  • Patent number: 11079156
Abstract: An ice bagger is provided. The ice bagger includes an ice hopper into which ice is disposed from an ice manufacturer. The ice hopper further includes an ice agitator. The ice hopper defines an ice trough positioned beneath the ice hopper. An ice auger is housed inside the ice trough. The ice auger transports ice to an ice delivery chute. A hatch is positioned beneath the ice delivery chute, upon which the bag rests while filling. The ice delivery chute and the hatch define a bag filling area such that, when bags are present in the bag filling area, the bags are positioned to be filled. A scale is positioned on the hatch. The scale weighs the ice being deposited into the bag. When the bag is full, the bag is sealed by a sealer. When the bag is sealed, the hatch opens and the bag of ice is deposited in an bag depository. This Abstract is submitted with the understanding that it will not be used to interpret or limit the scope or meaning of the claims.

  • Patent number: 11078766
Abstract: An artificial lift system has a surface pump operated by a prime mover powered by a variable speed drive. A jet pump disposed downhole in tubing receives pressurized power fluid from the surface pump, mixes the power and production fluid and delivers the product uphole. A controller disposed at surface adjusts the artificial lift system relative to a set value based on a measured discharged pressure or a measured flowrate and trends a change in the other of the measured flowrate or the measured discharged pressure over time. The controller can also trend an operating condition (intake pressure vs. production rate) to determine changes relative to cavitation conditions. Based on the trended changes, the controller initiates an operation in the artificial lift system, such as adjusting the discharge pressure, initiating an alarm condition, etc.

  • Patent number: 11081828
Abstract: A housing that can be used for a power module in a power system is disclosed. The housing includes features to improve the insulating properties and to reduce or eliminate a mechanical stress on a housing that could crack or break a substrate contained within the housing. The insulating properties are improved by protrusions that surround apertures for press-fit pins. Each protrusion can increase a creepage for the housing by extending the surface of the housing along a press-fit pin. The mechanical stress is reduced by a mounting flange that includes a wedge surface and a flexible structure that react to a force applied when the mounting flange is fastened to a surface by a fastener.
