Publication number: 20210170939Abstract: A system for illuminating an area around a motor vehicle, having: a pair of radar systems and a pair of lighting systems mounted on the motor vehicle; a vehicle level sensor configured to detect changes in pitch or roll of the motor vehicle; and an illumination control system in the motor vehicle. The illumination control system includes a key fob communication system and determines the location of a person by detecting the person approaching the motor vehicle by detecting the presence of the key fob while also detecting the location of the person with a radar system mounted on the vehicle. Next, when the location of the person has been determined, the illumination system lights up the area the person is standing while following movement of the person with the radar system to continuously re-directing the illumination towards the location on the ground where the person is standing as the person moves.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 6, 2019Publication date: June 10, 2021Applicant: KARMA AUTOMOTIVE LLCInventor: Phillip Paul WHITTON

Publication number: 20210170997Abstract: A wheel chock has a body with a shell and filled core construction capable of supporting high chocking loads while being relatively lightweight and portable. The chock includes walls sized and shaped to support large-diameter wheels such as wheels of large haul vehicles and mining trucks. The chock can be sized proportional to the radius of the wheel to be retained or based on the radius of curvature of a wall configured to primarily support the outer surface of the wheel. The chock can have a cut off or flattened toe or front surface that reduces weight and helps to ensure that the entire chock is load-bearing when in a chocking position. The chock can also have a flattened top surface to support the outer surface of a tire that deforms around the chock while it is being retained by the chock.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 6, 2019Publication date: June 10, 2021Applicant: CHECKERS INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTS, LLCInventor: Greg Widgery

Publication number: 20210172273Abstract: Disclosed herein are various embodiments of methods and systems for drilling an oil or gas well safely and efficiently using underbalanced or near-balanced drilling techniques, wherein the primary means of pressure control is a Annular Pressure Control Diverter positioned below the BOP stack, with a return flow pattern where no drilling fluid returns up the (traditional) annulus between the drill pipe and the production casing and instead drilling fluid returns up the annulus between the production casing and intermediate casing. Drilling fluid returns flow through a wellhead, instead of a flow spool conventionally located below an upper RCD, and hence to the drilling choke. This drilling approach eliminates the need for hydraulic fracturing and preserves the natural fracture system of the producing formation while providing additional safety measures. It also prevents the accidental or deliberate discharge or flaring of methane during drilling and production.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 5, 2020Publication date: June 10, 2021Applicant: Hughes Tool Company LLCInventor: William James Hughes

Publication number: 20210170897Abstract: A mobile, energy-storing DC fast charger may be easily moved from a low-cost charging hub to a different secondary vehicle-charging location. This allows grid charging to occur at a remote, low-cost location that does not require the electrical service upgrades that would be necessary for construction of a new charging station at a location where it is desired to serve EV customers. Once charged at the low-cost hub, a mobile unit may be delivered to various remote locations for charging of electric vehicles at a low total lifecycle cost. The mobile units may be configured to provide AC and DC services for electric customers in addition to the EV services. Examples of such services include the supply of electric generation capacity for utilities and peak-shaving services for commercial and industrial customers, the provision of temporary power for construction facilities, and backup power to off-grid customers.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 22, 2021Publication date: June 10, 2021Applicant: GREEN MACHINE POWER LLCInventor: Erik Ellis
