Patent number: 10996236Abstract: An accelerometer wireless position transducer or sensor is physically coupled to a control device in a process control system and includes an accelerometer that generates a signal based on a position of the control device or its actuator. The transducer converts the accelerometer signal into a wireless signal that includes a value indicative of the actuator position, and causes the wireless position feedback signal to be transmitted over a wireless channel to a valve controller, e.g., by using a short-range wireless protocol. The controller controls the valve based on the value included in the wireless signal. In some configurations, the feedback signal is received at a device paired with the transducer, and the paired device transmits the feedback signal to the controller. The paired device may be paired with multiple transducers and/or sensors, and may transmit various feedback signals to multiple recipient controllers and other devices.Type: GrantFiled: July 22, 2014Date of Patent: May 4, 2021Assignee: FISHER CONTROLS INTERNATIONAL LLCInventors: Mitchell Stephen Panther, Matthew J. Patent number: 10999905Abstract: The present disclosure is related to accurate analog dimming of a light emitting diode (LED). Accurate dimming can require precise control of a power converter that supplies the LED with a current. The precise control relies on accurately sensing a level of the LED. When the power converter operates in a discontinuous conduction mode (DCM), for example at a low dimming ratio, the accuracy of the sensed LED-level can be affected by a resonant current offset, resulting from current ringing in the power converter. The disclosed circuits and methods provide accurate control of the LED-level by compensating for the resonant current offset in the sensed LED-level.Type: GrantFiled: February 11, 2020Date of Patent: May 4, 2021Assignee: SEMICONDUCTOR COMPONENTS INDUSTRIES, LLCInventors: Hyunchul Eum, Gyumin Park, Minha Hwang

Patent number: 10995023Abstract: The water treatment device is an AOP (advanced oxidization process) apparatus that provides effective sanitation of pool water. The device includes couplings that can adapt to fit various standard pool equipment. Inside the reaction chamber of the main body, there are a nozzle and a metal catalyst. The nozzle creates water jet impinging the metal catalyst, which subsequently creates bubbles. Being entrained in the water, the bubbles substantially collapse and create high temperature and pressure changes. These changes cause water to go through chemical dissociation, thus creating hydroxyl radicals, a highly reactive oxidizer. In a fast rate, the hydroxyls attach to and destroy organic contaminants in the water. The metal catalyst remains chemically unchanged. The apparatus has a long service life and substantially reduces the use of chemicals in a pool.Type: GrantFiled: August 13, 2018Date of Patent: May 4, 2021Assignee: POLAR VORTEX, LLCInventor: Gary Powell

Patent number: 10997548Abstract: Apparatus and associated methods relate to an online ordering/takeout system for customers to place orders with a variety of merchants, where a customer can let a merchant know that the customer is on their way, and in response, the status of the order is updated in a locker-tracking system. In an illustrative example, a customer device may allow for customers to communicate an in-transit status to the merchant. A merchant device may, for example, allow a customer to gain access to a locker that stores the customer's order. In response to milestone events, such as placing a food item in a locker or the customer indicating they are “on their way,” the system may update a status of the locker to reflect a current status of the locker/order. Some embodiments may advantageously provide confirmation to the merchant that the customer is in route to the merchant's location.Type: GrantFiled: January 14, 2019Date of Patent: May 4, 2021Assignee: FoodGarage, LLCInventor: Dommonic Nelson
