Abstract: Devices for removing implanted objects from body vessels are provided. A device includes a sheath assembly having a cutting tip. The cutting tip includes a cutting surface that is adapted to cut tissue coupled to an implanted object as the cutting tip rotates. The sheath assembly further includes an outer shield carried outside of the cutting tip. The outer shield includes a distal opening, and the outer shield is translatable relative to the cutting tip from a first position to a second position and vice versa. In the first position the cutting surface of the cutting tip is disposed within the outer shield, and in the second position the cutting tip extends through the distal opening and the cutting surface is at least partially disposed outside of the outer shield.

Abstract: An IoT E2E Service Layer Security Management system supports methods and procedures to allow an application to establish, use, and teardown an IoT SL communication session that has application specified E2E security preferences and that targets one or more SL addressable targets (e.g., an IoT application, device, or gateway SL addressable resource). E2E SL Session based methods and procedures described herein achieve a required overall E2E security level, by allowing IoT SL instances to influence and coordinate hop security for a multi-hop communication path spanning across multiple intermediary nodes. The methods and procedures described herein reduce overhead, simplify and obviate the need for E2E service level nodes (initiation and termination nodes) from having to perform security service negotiation, in order to establish secure hop-by-hop security associations aligned with an E2E security requirement.

Abstract: A home SMF of a home PLMN receives a first message from a visited SMF of visited PLMN. The first message requests creation of a packet data unit (PDU) session of a wireless device. The first message comprises first charging policy information determined based on a first policy of the visited PLMN. The home SMF determines a second charging policy information for the PDU session based on the first charging policy information and a second policy of the home PLMN. The second charging policy information comprises: a charging method for the PDU session, and a charging parameter indicating a charging level for the PDU session. The home SMF sends a second message to the visited SMF. The second message comprises the second charging policy information.

Abstract: A steerable caddy trailer is provided that has an improved structure including a main frame assembly, spindle assemblies attached to each end of the main frame for attachment of a wheel, a pair of swinging arms forwardly extending from the main frame and pivotally attached to the main frame, and tie rods connecting the swinging arms with the spindle assembly such that pivoting of the swinging arms steers the wheel.

Abstract: A method includes executing a virtual machine, which executes on a data processing device and includes an application container and an agent. The application container includes a file system mount interfaced with a file system residing outside the application container, an application programming interface (API), and a software application including a reference to the API. The agent is configured to monitor whether the software application attempts to access any resources outside of the application container. When the software application attempts to access any resources outside of the application container, the agent is configured to execute a remediation routine.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for automatic qubit calibration. In one aspect, a method includes obtaining a plurality of qubit parameters and data describing dependencies of the plurality of qubit parameters on one or more other qubit parameters; identifying a qubit parameter; selecting a set of qubit parameters that includes the identified qubit parameter and one or more dependent qubit parameters; processing one or more parameters in the set of qubit parameters in sequence according to the data describing dependencies, comprising, for a parameter in the set of qubit parameters: performing a calibration test on the parameter; and performing a first calibration experiment or a diagnostic calibration algorithm on the parameter when the calibration test fails.

Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and computer-readable media for providing extremely rapid preconditioning of an SSD. Upon receiving a precondition command from a host operably connected to the SSD to precondition a range of LBAs of the storage media, a plurality of physical units of the storage media to be preconditioned are determined based on the range of LBAs. A workload pattern is determined from the precondition command, and upon determining that the workload pattern indicates a random pattern, a valid page count for each of the plurality of physical units is computed based on a random distribution. Forward mapping table entries of a forward mapping table associated with the storage media corresponding to the range of LBAs is then populated with random physical addresses from the plurality of physical units based at least on the computed valid page count for each of the plurality of physical units.

Abstract: An apparatus in one embodiment comprises at least one processing device comprising a processor coupled to a memory, with the processing device being configured to obtain content-based signatures for respective data pages of at least one write operation, to send the content-based signatures to a content addressable storage (CAS) system, and to receive from the CAS system information indicating for each of the content-based signatures whether or not the corresponding data page is present in the CAS system. Responsive to the information received from the CAS system indicating that one or more of the corresponding data pages are not present in the CAS system, the processing device sends the one or more corresponding data pages to the CAS system. The processing device illustratively comprises a host device coupled to the CAS system over a network.

Abstract: A device for hailing a vehicle includes a location sensor outputting location information indicative of a location of the device. The device further includes a device interface configured to receive an input from a user of the device. Responsive to the input, a transmitter of the device transmits the location information, input information, and identification information for the device to a dispatch server system. The transmitter is further configured to route the location information, the input information, and the identification information for the device to only the dispatch server system. The identification information is used by the dispatch server system to set a predefined location associated with the identification information as a destination for a trip for the user in the vehicle. The predefined location is defined in an account corresponding to the identification information of the device maintained by the dispatch server system prior to receipt of the input.

Abstract: A DC UPS may include a battery power source, an AC-DC converter configured to convert a grid AC power signal to a first DC power signal, and a first switch coupled downstream from the AC-DC converter. The DC UPS may include a second switch coupled between the first switch and a battery power source, and a DC-DC converter coupled to the first switch and configured to convert the battery DC power signal or the first DC power signal to a second DC power signal. The DC UPS may include first DC outputs coupled to the first switch and configured to provide the battery DC power signal or the first DC power signal to corresponding first loads, second DC outputs coupled downstream from the DC-DC converter and configured to provide the second DC power signal to corresponding second loads, and a controller.

At least one electronic component is arranged in a corresponding opening of the component stencil with a top surface of the electronic component on the support. A contact material stencil is positioned on the component stencil such that at least one opening in the contact material stencil is over a corresponding contact region on the bottom surface of the at least one electronic component. A contact material is applied on the at least one contact region of the at least one electronic component within the corresponding opening of the contact material stencil. The contact material stencil is removed from the component stencil. The component stencil is removed from the support. The at least one electronic component is applied to the surface.

Abstract: An apparatus in one embodiment comprises a host device configured to communicate over a network with a storage system. The host device comprises a plurality of nodes each comprising a plurality of processing devices and at least one communication adapter. The host device further comprises a multi-path input-output (MPIO) driver that is configured to obtain an input-output (IO) operation that targets a given logical volume and to identify a source node for the IO operation. The MPIO driver identifies a plurality of paths between the source node and the given logical volume via the communication adapters of the plurality of nodes and determines locality information for each identified path. The MPIO driver is further configured to select a target path from the identified paths based at least in part on the determined locality information and to deliver the obtained IO operation to the given logical volume via the selected target path.

Abstract: A communication system comprises a network configured to support data, voice, and video communications and a docking station coupled to the network and configured to provide data connections to a personal computer wireless device, wherein the personal computer wireless device is configured to communicate with the docking station using light communication. A method for accessing the communication system comprises connecting a personal computer wireless device to a docking station using light communication and identifying a current location of the personal computer wireless device based upon LC with the docking station or an LC access point. One or more selected applications may be enabled or disabled on the personal computer wireless device based upon the current location.

Abstract: Shadow banning a participant within a social VR system includes: receiving and forwarding an identity of the participant, who may be shadow banned; recognizing and tracking inappropriate behaviors including inappropriate language and comments, inappropriate gestures, and inappropriate movements; receiving and processing the recognized and tracked inappropriate behaviors of the participant; generating a safety rating based on the processed inappropriate behaviors; comparing the safety rating to a threshold value; and outputting a signal to label the participant as a griefer and shadow ban the griefer when the safety rating is greater than the threshold value.

Abstract: A bucket caddy stably holds a bucket or container above a horizontal support surface or ground for easier access to the contents of the bucket or container. The bucket caddy has a retainer with slots into which at least three legs are movably joined. The legs each have a shelf surface and a hook (U-shaped or crimped) or upstanding wall disposed at their proximal ends. When splayed apart, the shelf surfaces point radially inwardly toward the retainer with their top surfaces in a common plane onto which the bottom of the bucket may be positioned. The hooks receive straps or elastic bands, each of which has a fastener at its opposite end adapted to join a portion of a rim of the bucket. Length-adjustable means are associated with straps that are not elastic. Alternatively, belts or screws provide three point connection between the legs and the sidewall of the bucket.

Abstract: A notification device is provided that includes a sensor pad, and an electronics module generates one or more notifications in response to signals received from the sensor pad. In a first embodiment, the sensor pad includes a pressure sensor for sensing pressure applied by a patient and generating a pressure signal, and conductive tracings for sensing moisture due to incontinence and generating a moisture detection signal when moisture is detected. In another embodiment, an absorbent sensor pad includes a sensor pad for sensing moisture and includes an absorbent chuck having a moisture-impermeable sheet with an absorbent material on an upper surface thereof, wherein the moisture-impermeable sheet has an aperture for receiving the sensor pad. The absorbent sensor pad may be provided in the form of a diaper.

Abstract: A drive unit assembly. The drive unit includes a motor drivingly connected to a motor output shaft which in turn is drivingly connected to a sun gear of a gear assembly. The gear assembly further includes a gear assembly housing, one or more planetary gears and a pinion gear. At least a portion of the one or more planetary gears are drivingly connected to the sun gear, the gear assembly housing and a plurality of gear teeth circumferentially extending from an inner surface of a drive unit housing. The pinion gear has a first side and a second side, where the second side of the pinion gear is integrally connected to a first end portion of the gear assembly housing. Drivingly connected to the pinion gear is a differential ring gear of a differential assembly having a first side gear, a second side gear and one or more bevel gears.

Abstract: A penetration seal and its installation method for use with a pipe extending through an opening, or penetration, in a vessel, such as a boiler, containing fluid. A first collar surrounds the pipe adjacent the vessel and is in fluid communication with the opening in the vessel. A second collar has a sleeve portion engaging the exterior of the pipe and is spaced from the first collar. An insulation pillow substantially surrounds the pipe and is connected to the first and second collars. An expansion sleeve substantially surrounds the insulation pillow and is connected to the first and second collars, wherein the sleeve portion of the second collar is configured to compressively engage the exterior surface of the pipe sufficiently to frictionally fix the second sleeve against movement relative to the pipe.
