Abstract: The telecommunications network, which includes a plurality of existing cells each having an assigned identifier from a set of identifiers, calculates a value for each existing cell, wherein the value represents the likelihood of an identifier conflict if a new cell is deployed near that existing cell. The value may therefore provide a network operator with an indication of the likelihood of an identifier conflict if a new cell is deployed in a particular area, such that the network operator may proactively avoid identifier conflicts.
Abstract: A computing device in a wireless communications network identifies content to be transmitted to a mobile device in the wireless communications network. The computing device also determines mobile edge nodes that serve radio coverage areas at different positions along a path that the mobile device is expected to take while receiving the content. Further, the computing device allocates, for storage in respective caches of the mobile edge nodes, different portions of the content that are expected to be served by different mobile edge nodes as the mobile device moves along the path.
Abstract: A technique that assists in identifying services for monitoring data traffic in a communication network is provided. The communication network includes a terminal configured to transceive data traffic and a component configured to measure data traffic. As to a method aspect of the technique, the terminal associates one or more communication services that are executed or executable at the terminal with one or more communication endpoints. The terminal further sends a service identification report indicative of the association to the component.

Abstract: A method in a user equipment comprises receiving, from a network node, a request to configure a first component carrier at the user equipment for dual connectivity operation, and determining whether a total number of currently configured component carriers including the first component carrier associated with the request exceeds a threshold number of component carriers that the user equipment can use for dual connectivity operation. The method further comprises performing one or more component carrier related radio operations based at least in part on the determination of whether the total number of currently configured component carriers including the first component carrier associated with the request exceeds the threshold number of component carriers that the user equipment can use for dual connectivity operation.
Abstract: Provided is an apparatus for encoding a moving picture that determines a quantization step size of a previous coding block according to scan order as the quantization step size predictor of the current coding block when a quantization step size of a left coding block of a current coding block and a quantization step size of an above coding block of the current coding block are unavailable and determines an available motion vector encountered first when retrieving motion vectors in the order of motion vector of a first predetermined position and motion vector of a second predetermined position in a reference picture as a temporal motion vector candidate. Therefore, it is possible to reduce the amount of coding bits required to encode motion information and the quantization step size of the current prediction block.
Abstract: Methods and devices for providing a device access to a General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) network are described. The GPRS network comprises a control node for controlling the access. The control node performs the steps of receiving a service request from the device, the service request comprising a device identifier, obtaining a group profile comprising a group identifier identifying a plurality of devices, selecting the group profile for serving the device, if the device identifier corresponds to the group identifier, and establishing a connection based on the group profile in accordance with the service request.
Abstract: A removable scraper device is described herein. The removable scraper device includes an attachment element and a socket defined by the attachment element, wherein the socket is configured to receive a post of a scraper element therein. The removable scraper device further includes a slot defined by the attachment element, wherein the slot is configured to receive a portion of a bucket of a wheeled-machine therein. The removable scraper device further includes an aperture defined by the attachment element and a bolt sized to be received within the aperture. In some embodiments of the removable scraper device, the bolt and aperture are configured to selectively press the attachment element against the bucket to removably secure the removable scraper device thereto.

Abstract: The present invention addresses the problem of providing a novel, solid silver-copper alloy. Provided is a solid silver-copper alloy in which the concentration of copper contained in the silver-copper alloy is 0.1-99.94 wt %, and which has, as the principal constituent thereof, a non-eutectic structure which does not contain a eutectic when the solid silver-copper alloy is at room temperature. This silver-copper alloy can be produced by mixing a fluid containing silver ions and copper ions with a fluid containing a reducing agent, and separating silver-copper alloy particles therefrom. It is preferable to mix the fluid containing the silver ions and copper ions with the fluid containing the reducing agent in a thin-film fluid formed between processing surfaces arranged so as to face one another, capable of approaching toward and separating from one another, and capable of having at least one surface rotate relative to the other.
