  • Publication number: 20080136528
Abstract: An RF amplifier can include a differential inductor for single-ended-to-differential signal conversion. With a center tap of the differential inductor coupled to signal ground and the RF input signal coupled to one of the end taps of the inductor, the negative of the RF input signal is obtained at the other end tap of the inductor. The differential RF signal produced can be coupled to a differential transistor amplifier that has cross-coupling capacitances, improving the signal balance of the differential output signal.

  • Publication number: 20080127847
Abstract: A multi-ink marking structure for a hand stamp is made. A unitary foam member is provided and has a front surface, a rear surface and peripheral edges extending between the front surface and the rear surface. Selected locations of the foam member are sealed to form a barrier which extends at least substantially between the front surface and the rear surface and which divides the foam member into first and second regions adapted to store first and second inks, respectively. The barrier remains permanently connected to the first and second regions of the foam member. The barrier is adapted to prevent migration of inks between the first and the second regions. Print patterns are defined at the front surface.

  • Patent number: 7381793
Abstract: Isolated extracellular matrix-binding proteins, designated ClfB, SdrC, SdrD and SdrE, and their corresponding amino acid and nucleic acid sequences and motifs are described. The proteins, peptides, fragments thereof or antigenic portions thereof are useful for the prevention, inhibition, treatment and diagnosis of S. aureus infection and as scientific research tools. Further, antibodies or antibody fragments to the proteins, peptides, fragments thereof or antigenic portions thereof are also useful for the prevention, inhibition, treatment and diagnosis of S. aureus infection. In particular, the proteins or antibodies thereof may be administered to wounds or used to coat biomaterials to act as blocking agents to prevent or inhibit the binding of S. aureus to wounds or biomaterials. ClfB is a cell-wall associated protein having a predicted molecular weight of approximately 88 kDa and an apparent molecular weight of approximately 124 kDa, which binds both soluble and immobilized fibrinogen.

  • Patent number: 7382881
Abstract: A method of facilitating the lawful interception of an IP session between two or more terminals 12,13, wherein session uses encryption to secure traffic. The method includes storing a key allocated to at least one of terminals 12,13 or to at least one of the subscribers using one of the terminals 12,13, at the terminal 12,13 and at a node 5,8 within a network 1,6 through which session is conducted, or a node coupled to that network. Prior to the creation of session, a seed value is exchanged between the terminal 12,13 at which the key is stored and node 5,8. The key and the seed value are used at both the terminal 12,13 and the node 5,8 to generate a pre-master key. The pre-master key becomes known to each of the terminals 12,13 involved in the IP session and to the network node 5,8. The pre-master key is used, directly or indirectly, to encrypt and decrypt traffic associated with IP session.

  • Patent number: 7382763
Abstract: In the present invention, the implementation of a protocol that embeds packets is made sensitive to the type of data being embedded, so that adjustable parameters can be set automatically at the layer providing the parameters being adjusted in accordance with the packets being embedded. Thus it is taken into account that the data in packets being received from a higher layer in order to be encapsulated or segmented and sent further (either directly into the link or on to lower layer), may be classified into different categories with respect to the adjustable parameters, where the parameters can automatically be adjusted for an individual packet in accordance with the category into which is classified.

  • Patent number: 7382821
Abstract: A searcher uses an input signal, and for example, a matched filter to generate a first set of candidate paths. A selector uses the input signal and the first set of candidate paths to generate a second set of paths. The second set of paths is used to configure the fingers of a RAKE receiver. According to one aspect of the invention, the first set of candidate paths contains M paths, and the second stage uses M correlators to generate a set of M correlation values. The second stage uses the M correlation values to select N paths that are used to configure the N fingers of the RAKE receiver. According to another aspect of the invention, the first set of candidate paths contains M paths, and the second stage uses a multiple of M correlators to track the M paths and generate a set of M estimates. The second stage uses the M estimates to select N paths that are used to configure the N fingers of the RAKE receiver.

  • Patent number: 7377721
Abstract: Invert emulsion compositions including an oleaginous, a non-oleaginous and an amine surfactant that are useful in the oil and gas well drilling art are disclosed. The amine surfactant is selected so that the invert emulsion can be converted form a water-in-oil type emulsion to a oil-in-water type emulsion upon the protonation of the amine surfactant. Deprotonation of the amine surfactant reverses the conversion. This solution also permits the conversion of oil-wet solids in the fluid into water-wet solids.
