  • Patent number: 7302657
Abstract: The design of a synchronous digital circuit (1) can be modified. The circuit comprises a number of clocked storage devices (2, 3, 4, 5,) and a number of combinational logic elements defining combinational paths (6, 7, 8, 9,) between at least some of said clocked storage devices. Each combinational path from an output of one clocked storage device to an input of another has a minimum delay value (Dmin) and a maximum delay value (Dmax). The actual delay of the path assumes a value between the minimum and maximum delay values. The method comprises the steps of identifying the path (6; 7; 8; 9) having the greatest difference between the maximum delay value (Dmax) and the minimum delay value (DMIN), and reducing said difference by increasing the minimum delay value for the path having the greatest difference. With the method a higher clock frequency for the circuit can be achieved.

  • Patent number: 7299686
Abstract: A device for determining soil compaction includes a control member fitted with one or more sensors that measure the response of the control member during co-action between the control member and a soil surface. In one embodiment, this response can be flexure as characterized by a measurable parameter such as strain. A measurement module in communication with the sensor or sensors determines a soil modulus for the soil based on the strain measurement from the sensor or sensors. In one arrangement, the control member includes one set of sensors that measure radial strain and another set of sensors that measures hoop strain. The device can also include a load sensor for measuring the load applied to the control member. In one embodiment the measurement module includes a processor that determines soil modulus based the strain measurements and the measured load.

Abstract: A décor paper for use as a surface on a floor panel has applied to it quaternary ammonium compounds in a resin mixture. The resin may be urea or melamine resin, and the mixture may also include abrasion-resistant particles such as corundum. The mixture applied to the paper provides it with antistatic properties, so that, when used on a floor panel, very little static electricity is generated by people walking on it. The floor panel is made up by the paper, attached to a one surface of a carrier, with a corresponding paper attached to the opposing surface.

  • Patent number: 7297321
Abstract: A new class of supermicroporous mixed oxides, with pore sizes in the 10-20 ? range has been prepared utilizing basic metal acetates. The reactions are carried out in non-aqueous solvent media to which an excess of amine is added. Hydrolysis of the reagents is effected by addition of a water-propanol mixture and refluxing. The amine and solvent are removed by thorough washing and/or calcining at temperatures as low as 200° C. Mixtures of transition metal oxides with either ZrO2, TiO2, La2O3, SiO2, Al2O3 or mixtures thereof were prepared. The surface area curves of the pure oxides are Type I with surface areas of 400-600 m2/g and up to 1100 m2/g for the mixed oxides.

  • Publication number: 20070264959
Abstract: A method and apparatus for frequency down-converting a radio frequency (RF) signal to baseband in two steps using the two quadrature components of a single local oscillator. In the first stage, the RF signal is mixed with both components of the local oscillator signal (LO) in a sub-harmonic mixer to produce an intermediate frequency (IF) output signal having a frequency component at twice the local oscillator frequency minus the RF frequency, i.e., (2×LO)?RF=IF. In the second stage, the IF signal is split into two and supplied to a quadrature mixer that mixes the IF signal with the I component of the same local oscillator signal and separately mixes the IF signal with the Q component of the same local oscillator signal to produce an output signal comprising an I component and a separate Q component at baseband.

  • Patent number: 7293819
Abstract: A vehicle decklid displacement mechanism includes a linkage for leveraging displacement of the lid with respect to a vehicle body, an extension strut having spring means biasing the ends of the strut away from each other and a motorized crank. The crank is driven by the motor for pivotal engagement with the extendable strut so that the combined leverage of the linkage and the biasing of the strut geometrically urge the decklid to an open position. A position of the crank is adjusted by the motor to retract the decklid from its fully open position, at which point the weight of the lid overcomes the leverage of the linkage and the biasing of the extendable strut to displace the decklid toward its open position.

Abstract: A method and arrangement for providing telecommunication services for subscribers of multiple different operators, using a single communication network controlled by an operator-independent network supervisor. Resources in said network for technically providing telecommunication services can be hired by said operators for serving their subscribers. The operators are then charged for consumed network resources, preferably on the basis of communicated data amounts, used bandwidth, and/or connection time. In this way, only one communication network is needed for offering services from multiple operators in a certain region, and unnecessary duplication of network resources can be avoided.
