Abstract: The details of an apparatus and methods of handling simultaneous universal terrestrial radio access network radio resource control procedures with activation times in a universal mobile telecommunications system user equipment are disclosed herein. According to one aspect, the apparatus includes a message handler to receive a received message from the UTRAN, a sequential processor to receive an ongoing command, a command store connected to the message handler to save the received command. The message handler determines if there is an existing command at the user equipment such that the user equipment appears to the UTRAN as though it were processing the select commands simultaneously while actually processing the existing command sequentially.

Abstract: A pressure sensor for static and/or dynamic pressure measurement of a liquid, flowable, or gaseous medium is described, with a housing (2) and with a pressure measuring cell (3), on the side facing the medium an opening (4) being formed through which one side (5) of the pressure measuring cell (3) is directly or indirectly in contact with the medium to be monitored, and the pressure measuring cell (3) converting the pressure to be monitored into a proportional measurement signal by means of an electromechanical converter. Abstract: A searcher uses an input signal, and for example, a matched filter to generate a first set of candidate paths. A selector uses the input signal and the first set of candidate paths to generate a second set of paths. The second set of paths is used to configure the fingers of a RAKE receiver. According to one aspect of the invention, the first set of candidate paths contains M paths, and the second stage uses M correlators to generate a set of M correlation values. The second stage uses the M correlation values to select N paths that are used to configure the N fingers of the RAKE receiver. According to another aspect of the invention, the first set of candidate paths contains M paths, and the second stage uses a multiple of M correlators to track the M paths and generate a set of M estimates. The second stage uses the M estimates to select N paths that are used to configure the N fingers of the RAKE receiver.

Abstract: A nozzle for controlling flow of melt in a mold assembly comprises a valve pin guide interposed between a nozzle inlet and nozzle outlet, a valve pin movably supported thereby, and a contact arm engaging the valve pin and transverse to and passing through the valve pin guide. Biasing means acting on the contact arm hold the valve pin in a position preventing flow of melt. As the mold assembly closes, forces exerted on the contact arm overcome the biasing means and allow the valve pin to move to a position permitting flow of melt. Relief of pressure of retained melt is effected when force therefrom exerted on the valve pin exceeds an adjustable pre-load of the biasing means. The nozzle advantageously comprises an inlet bushing movably supported by the nozzle body enabling adjustment of the overall length of the nozzle to accommodate a range of spacing of elements of the mold assembly.
Abstract: The invention relates to a system for electromagnetic processing of an input wave involving receiving a modified signal derived from two or more signals that represent the input wave when combined; and regulating the modified signal using at least one analog signal containing a characteristic of the two or more signals. Embodiments of the invention may utilize in-phase and quadrature phase signals, where the magnitude portion of the signals may be used for regulating the modified signal. The modified signal may be created by modulating a characteristic of the I, Q signals, such as their sign, with an RF or other frequency carrier wave.

Abstract: A system for providing the ability to obtain consumption data from a communication device used to transmit accumulated data from the meter register. The system includes a programming port formed as part of the communication device. The programming port includes the programming coil that allows the accumulation data received from the meter register to be read by an interrogation device. Further, the programming coil allows programming information to be transferred to the communication device from the interrogation device. The system can also include a reading module coupled to the programming port of the communication device through an inductive coupling. Abstract: An additive that increases the density of fluids containing a sized barite weighting agent. The wellbore fluid has rheological properties comparable to a conventional wellbore fluids but does not exhibit problems with sag and resulting variations in density. An illustrative embodiment is directed to a method for making the sized barite weighting agent and a method for using such sized barite weighting agent in a wellbore fluid. In one preferred embodiment the sized barite weighting agent has a particle diameter between 4 ?m to 15 ?m In another preferred embodiment, the additive has a D50 (by weight) of approximately 1 ?m to 6 ?m. In another preferred embodiment the additive has a D90 (by weight) of approximately 4 ?m to 8 ?m. The additive may be used in any wellbore fluid such as drilling, cementing, completion, packing, work-over (repairing), stimulation, well killing, and spacer fluid.

Abstract: A paintable impact copolymer composition is produced by in-reactor blending of a xylene insoluble polypropylene fraction and a xylene soluble ethylene-propylene rubber (EPR) fraction. The composition comprises from about 5 wt. % to about 50 wt. % a xylene-soluble portion and from about 50 wt. % to about 95 wt. % a xylene-insoluble portion. The ratio of the weight average molecular weight of said xylene-soluble portion to that of said xylene-insoluble portion is from about 0.5 to about 1.8. The intrinsic viscosity of said xylene-soluble portion is from about 0.5 to about 7.0 dL/g. The xylene-soluble portion comprises from about 30 to about 70 mole percent ethylene units.

Abstract: The invention relates to apparatus for applying electrical current to the quadriceps muscle. The apparatus is in the form of a garment (to be worn on a user's thigh) having a integrated programmable stimulation device including integral electronics, LCD display, user controls and a battery. To ensure accurate and repeatable positioning of the garment, it is shaped such that it locates above the patella. Furthermore, reference lines are provided on the skin facing surface of the garment to assist the user in the accurate placement of skin engaging electrodes. In combination, the features of the invention provides a safe and convenient means of electrically stimulating the quadriceps muscle irrespective of patient size whilst minimizing the opportunity for error. Moreover, the invention dispenses with the need to employ a skilled clinician to individually place each electrode.
