  • Patent number: 7176165
Abstract: An additive that increases the density of fluids containing a sized barite weighting agent. The wellbore fluid has rheological properties comparable to a conventional wellbore fluids but does not exhibit problems with sag and resulting variations in density. An illustrative embodiment is directed to a method for making the sized barite weighting agent and a method for using such sized barite weighting agent in a wellbore fluid. In one preferred embodiment the sized barite weighting agent has a particle diameter between 4 ?m to 15 ?m In another preferred embodiment, the additive has a D50 (by weight) of approximately 1 ?m to 6 ?m. In another preferred embodiment the additive has a D90 (by weight) of approximately 4 ?m to 8 ?m. The additive may be used in any wellbore fluid such as drilling, cementing, completion, packing, work-over (repairing), stimulation, well killing, and spacer fluid.

Abstract: In a device for dispensing milk and/or milk froth from a container (1) containing milk, this container is placed in a coolable cabinet (3). Via an extraction line (4) and a further line (5), the milk reaches an emulsifying device (6) disposed outside the coolable cabinet. The product received is dispensed from this emulsifying device (6) via the discharge nozzle (7). Steam is feedable into the emulsifying device (6) with which steam the milk conducted through the emulsifying device (6) is able to be heated up and/or frothed up. The further line (5) consists of a flexible tube which is placed in a peristaltic pump (9). This peristaltic pump (9) is equipped with switching means (10) with which the peristaltic pump (9) is switchable from a closed pump state into an open pump state releasing the passage of the flexible tube (5). Milk of different temperatures or milk froth can be optimally dispensed using this device; in addition an optimal cleaning can be carried out.

  • Patent number: 7173152
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for the reductive acetamidation of an aryl nitro compound by reacting a substituted acid with an aryl nitro compound and adding a catalytic amount of a base with the substituted acid and the aryl nitro compound to form an acetamidation aryl nitro compound. The acetamidation aryl nitro compound is then purified.

  • Patent number: 7171967
Abstract: A mask includes a filter layer and a support base supporting the filter layer. The filter layer has first and second complimentary portions that together form a rim, where the first portion is connected to the second portion at first and second seams. The first seam extends from the rim to a first pleat, while the second seam extends from the rim to a second pleat. The first pleat is connected to the second pleat by an unpleated central portion. The first pleat, second pleat and unpleated central portion are formed by the first and second portions of the filter layer.

  • Patent number: 7171886
Abstract: To seal a pipe mortar, a sealing element (3, 6) is inserted between the pipe (1) and the base (2), with the element elastically balancing out the axial relative movements between the pipe (1) and the base (2). The sealing element (3) is preferably prestressed, with the gas pressure supporting the sealing effect. The sealing element (3, 6) can be a U-shaped or L-shaped steel ring. In the U-shaped sealing element (3), the legs (3.1) are axially prestressed to the extent that the sealing ring (3) and the pipe (1) or the base (2) are pressed together to produce an adequate seal. In the L-shaped sealing element (6), the inside leg (6.1) produces the gas-tight connection when the pipe (1) and the base (2) are screwed together. A sealing lips (6.2) of the sealing ring (6) elastically absorbs changes in length between the pipe and the base that occur during firing.
