    Abstract: A method and system for archiving data. The data are classified according to their desired lifetime and then archived in a memory using a storage method whose reliability is in accordance with the desired lifetime. For example, when storing data in the cells of an EPROM, short-term data could be archived using larger programming voltage pulse increments than for long-term data, using a lower target threshold voltage than for long-term data, using wider programming voltage pulses than for long-term data, using higher starting programming voltages than for long-term data, using fewer programming voltage pulses than for long term data, using lower maximum programming voltages than for long term data, or using more levels per cell than for long-term data.

    Abstract: A receiver section recovers the in-phase and quadrature components of a linear modulated data signal. The in-phase signal is sampled and quantized producing an in-phase sample stream, and the quadrature phase signal is sampled and quantized producing a quadrature sample stream. The in-phase sample stream and the quadrature sample stream are both over-sampled at a rate of N times a symbol rate of the data signal. A decimation section filters the quantized in-phase sample stream and the quantized quadrature sample stream to produce a reduced in-phase sample stream and a reduced quadrature sample stream at a rate of M times the symbol rate, wherein M is less than or equal to N.

Then, a second portion of the signal is demodulated using the second parameters when the first portion of the signal is correctly demodulated.

Second levers extend downwardly to cooperate with actuators. The actuators include inflatable bodies with contacts which, upon inflation, force the clips to engage the inwardly extending mounting flanges. This engagement retains the screen on a resiliently mounted housing and is able to further tension the screen in place.

With mixtures of calcium carbonate and gypsum, such as mixtures of PCC and gypsum and mixtures of PCC, ground carbonate and gypsum, there are obtained simultaneously a sufficient gloss and smoothness as well as a brightness and opacity better than with PCC-kaolin pastes.

    Abstract: A method for producing printed products, according to which method the surface of a sheet of paper or board is printed by the electrophotography technique or a similar printing method, wherein a dry finely-divided printing ink is transferred onto the printing base by means of an electric field. According to the invention, a paper or board is used the printing surface of which has a pigment-containing coating layer in which at least 20% of the pigment is made up of a hydrous pigment, such as gypsum, or in which at least 20% of the filler is made up of a hydrous filler, such as gypsum. When a gypsum pigment and/or a gypsum filler is used, the quality of the printed image is not sensitive to the control quantities used in the printing press. By means of the invention, a very regular print is indeed obtained, and so the invention is especially well suited for the printing of a sheet of a very matt paper or board.
