  • Patent number: 5321966
Abstract: A method and an arrangement for finish rolling wire and/or round steel on a continuously operating finish rolling block. The finish rolling block includes a plurality of work rolling sets and sizing rolling sets with essentially round sizing rolls, wherein the rolling sets are arranged closely one behind the other and the rolling planes thereof are alternatingly offset relative to each other by 90.degree.. The method includes imparting a twist to the rolled material by asymmetrically spreading the rolled material in the two sets of rolls which precede the last set of rolls, wherein the twist imparted in the two sets of rolls has approximately the same magnitude but is directed in opposite directions, so that the rolled material is stabilized in its position in the last sizing roll pass.

  • Patent number: 5302105
Abstract: A method for changing of mold blocks on an injection molding machine, in which the mold block can be clamped in a centered position between a movable clamping plate and a fixed clamping plate and, for replacement of the mold, can be moved out of the machine parallel to the clamping surface. Upon the installation of the mold, the mold block is initially substantially restricted in its freedom of movement in the open condition of the clamping plates, in the direction of the center axis and in a direction perpendicular vertically or horizontally thereto. After being restricted in movement, the mold block is gripped from the outside in the direction of the center axis of the injection molding machine in order to avoid possible tilting movements towards the clamping plate and is held in a vertical position with the avoidance of possible tilting movements in the direction of the center axis of the injection molding machine during the movement towards each other of the clamping plates for clamping the mold block.
