Abstract: A disposable diaper which can be put on by means of pressure-adhesive tape. For loosening and refastening the fastening tape tabs, the diaper is provided in the region for fastening the tape tabs with a non-elastic plastic strip, suitably of polyester.
Abstract: A disposable absorbent article, such as a diaper, an incontinence guard or the like, includes an inner, liquid-permeable casing sheet, which when the article is worn lies nearest the body of the wearer, an outer, liquid-impermeable casing sheet, an absorbent pad enclosed between the two casing sheets, and a layer of fibre wadding disposed between the absorbent pad and the inner casing sheet. The inner casing sheet is joined to the absorbent pad along two longitudinal lines forming permanent fold lines which divide the article, over at least a part thereof, into a central elongated part and two edge-parts located symmetrically on respective sides of the central elongated part. Each edge-part is folded between the respective fold line and its lateral edge such as to form an inwardly upstanding longitudinal fold in the outer casing sheet.

Abstract: To produce an absorption body, a mold having an air-permeable bottom is filled progressively with airborne fibers of absorbent material and subpressure is applied through the air-permeable mold bottom. This subpressure is varied progressively and directly as the thickness of the absorption body progressively increases as the mold is progressively filled with fibers. Thus, the amount of air drawn through the absorption body by the subpressure remains substantially constant despite progressive increase in the thickness of the body. The result is an absorption body having substantially constant density throughout its thickness.
Abstract: A device for achieving uniform distribution of airborne fibres, for instance cellulose-fibres, in the outlet of a conduit intended for the air-transport of fibres, the device being placed in the outlet (10) of the conduit. In accordance with the invention, the device includes a plurality of mutually similar, concentrically arranged circular rotors (1) and a plurality of semi-circular stators (6) which are disposed between the rotors on the outlet side of the device.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a sanitary napkin consisting of an absorbent core (1) surrounded by a casing built up of two surface layers which are joined together around the absorbent core and of which surface layers the one facing the wearer's body is liquid permeable whereas the other one (2) is liquid impermeable.According to the invention, elastic means (5,6) are applied to the liquid impermeable surface layer (2). The resiliency afforded to the sanitary napkin in this manner will urge the napkin in its applied condition to press against the outer genitals of the wearer.
Abstract: An absorption body intended for disposable articles such as diapers, sanitary napkins or the like and comprising highly absorbent material. A distinguishing feature of an absorption body made in accordance with the invention is that there is included therein a first layer intended to be placed against the wearer's body and which is soft, with a bulk exceeding 10 cm.sup.3 /g, preferably more than 13 cm.sup.3 /g, and at least one second layer which is heavily compressed to a bulk of less than 10 cm.sup.3 /g; and that the highly absorbent material is applied in the heavily compressed layer or layers.
Abstract: A sanitary napkin for placement in the crotch portion of a panty, which comprises an elongated absorbent body with a front end and a rear end and opposite longitudinal edges extending lengthwise of the absorbent body from the front end to the rear end. The absorbent body is enclosed in a casing having flaps extending laterally from each of the longitudinal edges of the absorbent body along at least the front end thereof, each flap having a front edge and having such an extent that an outer part thereof is foldable around a lateral edge of the front part of a panty. Adhesive layers are provided on the outer parts close to the front edges and spaced a substantial distance from the longitudinal edges, whereby the position of the sanitary napkin in a panty can be readjusted, when the panty is on the wearer, with the aid of the outer parts of the flaps. The side flaps taper from the front end of the absorbent body so as to converge toward the rear end of the absorbent body.
Abstract: A disposable absorbent article such as a diaper, a sanitary napkin, an incontinence protection garment, a wound dressing or the like has a liquid impermeable surface layer (2) and a liquid permeable surface layer (4) encasing an absorbent core (5) therebetween, and elastic members (11-14) applied thereto. The liquid permeable layer (4) is composed of at least two separate webs (3, 4) joined together by a bonding pattern constituted by substantially parallel bonding lines at least crossing the elastic members (11-14) in order to cooperate with these members, whereby the liquid permeable surface layer (4) on its side turned away from the absorbent core (5) air-filled channels and a soft, wavy surface.
Abstract: Disposable diapers comprising an absorbent body (1) which is surrounded by a casing consisting of a liquid permeable outer layer (3) facing the wearer during use of the diaper, and a liquid impermeable outer layer disposed on the opposite side of the absorbent body. The distinguishing feature of the invention is that an elastic waist means in the form of a comparatively wide elastic strip (9) extending in the transverse direction of the diaper is applied in a prestretched state at least at one end portion of the diaper, said strip being connected via an edge portion with the liquid impermeable outer layer while being arranged to constitute, together with said outer layer, a liquid absorbing pocket sealing around the end portion of the absorbent body.
Abstract: A fibrous absorption body intended for use in disposable products such as diapers, sanitary napkins or wound dressings. The distinguishing feature of the inventive absorption body is that at least one type of absorbing fibers is included therein as well as a binder activated by heat, preferably in the form of bonding fibers; that the absorption fibers are bonded to a coherent body with the aid of the binder; and that the body, due to compression of its bulk volume, will obtain a continuous density gradient across its thickness which is retained both in a wet and a dry state.
