The medical (imaging) device comprises a housing configured for handheld use, a transducer array, a display coupled to the housing, a plurality of sensors distributed about a periphery of the housing and configured to detect when a hand of an operator is positioned around the housing, and a computing device disposed within the housing, wherein the computing device is in communication with the transducer array, the display, and the sensors. The computing device is operable to: monitor the sensors, determine whether a reading from a first sensor at a first edge of the periphery of the housing exceeds a threshold, set the first edge as a primary edge based at least in part on the reading from the first sensor, and orient the display such that the primary edge is at the bottom of the display.

Abstract: This invention is directed to system and methods for the oxygenation of the blood of a patient, comprising an extracorporeal blood circulation path adapted to be coupled to the patient's vascular system, and comprising apparatus for oxygenating blood flowing therein and withdrawing CO2 therefrom, wherein the flow rate of blood flowing in said extracorporeal blood circulation path does not exceed ? of the patient's blood flow. The extracorporeal blood circulation path preferably comprise a cartridge including an oxygenator and at least one cannula.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses described herein relate to a method for delivering cash by an unmanned vehicle to a plurality of customers at different locations. The method includes receiving cash delivery requests from user devices of the plurality of customers via a communications network. The method includes determining a path for the unmanned vehicle from a current location of the unmanned vehicle to Global Position System (GPS) locations of the user devices of the plurality of customers. The method also includes instructing each of the plurality of compartments of a cash container of the unmanned vehicle to open in response to authenticating a corresponding customer of the plurality of customers or a corresponding user device of the user devices that generated a corresponding cash delivery request for which each of the plurality of compartments is storing cash.

Abstract: A read signal generator generates read signals to control read operations of a memory array. The read signal generator can be selectively controlled to generate an oscillating signal having a period that corresponds to a feature one of the read signals. The oscillating signal is passed to a frequency divider that divides the oscillating signal and provides the divided oscillating signal to an output pad. The frequency of the oscillating signal can be measured at the output pad. The frequency of the oscillating signal, and the duration of the read signal feature can be calculated from the frequency of the oscillating signal. The read signal feature can then be adjusted if needed.

Abstract: A print inspection device includes a camera that captures a character printed on an inspection target, a shape matching processor, a deformation pattern generator, and an inspection processor. The shape matching processor checks a shape of a captured character pattern included in a captured image obtained by the camera against a shape of a preset reference character pattern while changing a deformation degree of the shape of the reference character pattern and searches for a matched character. The deformation pattern generator generates a deformed character pattern obtained by deforming the reference character pattern at the deformation degree to which the character is matched in the shape matching process. The inspection processor inspects whether a printed state of the character is satisfactory from a result of the comparison between the deformed character pattern and the captured character pattern.
