Abstract: An integral revolution clutch is provided wherein a motor rotates a drive pulley which continuously drives an idler pulley through a belt. A drive shaft is provided with a segment of a circle thereon connectable to the idler pulley by means of the belt. A spring means urges the segment into contact with the belt and a stop means normally prevents contact. When the stop means is deactivated, the segment is drawn between the belt and the pulley, causing the shaft on which the segment is located to make an integral number of revolutions until the stop means is restored. In a similar manner, power can be taken directly from the drive pulley.
Abstract: A soil-cultivating machine has an elongated frame that extends horizontally and transverse to the direction of travel. A row of adjacent soil-working members are mounted on corresponding upwardly extending shafts which are geared to a common drive shaft and the members are driven in relative opposite directions to work a broad path of soil. Alternate soil-working members are slideable along beams of the frame so that debris does not jam the drive connections. The drive to the soil-working members includes an imput shaft to a gear box, which can comprise a reduction gear, and an elongated drive shaft that extends parallel to the frame and along which the slideable members are displaceable. The corresponding gears to the working members includes a pinion transmission on the drive shaft which is slideable within limits defined by an elongated key arrangement. Compression springs bias each slideable working member to a normal central position.

Abstract: A transmission having a variable capacity pump and motor is provided with an override device which ensures that the motor is at a maximum capacity, and hence maximum torque capability, prior to operation of other protection devices.
Abstract: An apparatus and method for shaping the teeth on a gear wheel to conform in a close sealing fit with the teeth of a globoid worm wherein a gear wheel blank and tool holder are supported for rotation about non-intersecting, mutually perpendicular axes, the tool holder axis lying in a plane which passes between the front and rear faces of the gear wheel blank. A pair of cutting tools are mounted 180.degree. apart on the tool holder and have cutting edges which extend radially out from the tool holder axis, the two edges being axially separated by a distance equal to the width of a gear wheel tooth. The blank and tools are rotated at velocities which are related by the same ratio as the velocities at which the gear wheel and worm are intended to operate and at the same time the tool holder and blank are fed toward one another, whereupon both sides of the gear wheel teeth are machined in one continuous sequence of undirectional rotational movements.
Abstract: A mount for removably mounting a light to a base member comprising a pair of clevis members. One clevis member is provided with a pair of upstanding spaced arms in which a stem is journaled for rotation and linear translation. A bushing having teeth thereon is mounted on the stem and translatable therewith. The second clevis is provided with a pair of depending arms defining a groove therebetween which fits over the stem within the upstanding arms of the first clevis. At least one face of the second clevis contains teeth which cooperate with the teeth on the bushing to secure one clevis to the other, the bushing being translatable away from the second clevis to permit repositioning and removal of the second clevis.

Abstract: A cultivator has a beamed frame with a coupling member that can be attached to the lower points of a lift device on a tractor. The cultivator has an assembly of blades mounted on a horizontal shaft which is driven via a forward transmission connected to the p.t.o. of the tractor. A power driven roller is turned by a rear transmission that is interconnected to the forward transmission by a telescopic shaft. The roller is mounted on a supporting structure including overhead beams that extend forwardly to a pivot connection on top of the coupling member. The roller is vertically displaceable and mounted on pivoted arms of the structure. Hydraulic assemblies can raise and/or lower the roller relative to ground wheels on the structure, for transport. A delivery mechanism including a hopper with a connectable feeder drive is supported on the structure in front of the roller. The roller can be driven to aid the forward travel of the implement.
Abstract: A signal is transmitted from a oscillatable piston to a valve by a mechanism comprising a first link pivotal about a second axis and a second link pivotal about a third axis which is perpendicular to the second axis. The second link abuts the first link on both sides of the second axis to transmit motion from the first link to the valve.
Abstract: Disclosed is a process for purifying an effluent containing acids such as phosphonic and phosphoric acids by the addition of CaO or Ca(OH).sub.2 in an amount ranging from 55-93 per cent by weight basis acids at a temperature of 35.degree. to 100.degree. C to a pH of 8 to 12. After removing the precipitated material, the effluent can be neutralized with CO.sub.2 gas. The precipitate can be calcined to tri calcium phosphate.

Abstract: A tool for automatically scraping off mud and oil from the inside wall of pipe being lifted during an oil well drilling operation; the tool including an elongated float that fits loosely inside the pipe and which is of a weight so that it floats on the surface of the oil and mud; the upper end of the tool which is above the water and oil level having arcuate wiper blades extending all around that wipe off the inside wall; the tool being dropped down into the pipe when the pipe is intended to be raised.
Abstract: A cover device for pressing originals having different thicknesses with equal force against a glass exposure plate of photocopying apparatus comprises a bordering frame swingable between closed and open positions and, inside the frame, a platelike covering member which rests upon supporting elements of the frame when the frame is in open position, presses down upon an original on the exposure plate yet is displaced according to the thickness of the original as the frame is moved to closed position, and is guided from displaced positions to rest again upon said supporting elements as the frame is moved from closed to open position.
