Abstract: A cryptographic system (100) is provided for distributing certificates comprising a certificate authority device (110) and multiple network nodes (140, 150, 160). A network node (140) sends a public key to the certificate authority device. The certificate authority device (110) generate a certificate comprising the public key, forms an identifier by applying an identity forming function to the certificate and generates local key material specific for the network node by applying a local key material generation algorithm of an identity based key pre-distribution scheme on the identifier, and sends the local key material encrypted to the network node. The network node may be authenticated implicitly through its access to a shared key obtainable from the local key material.

Abstract: A method for heating a production fluid in a fluid heating system includes receiving the production fluid by a pressure vessel, the pressure vessel arranged to receive the production fluid and to provide heated production fluid, receiving a thermal transfer fluid by a tubeless heat exchanger core, the tubeless heat exchanger core disposed at least partially within the vessel, the tubeless heat exchanger core comprising an inner casing and an outer casing disposed around the inner casing, the inner and outer casings defining therebetween a flow passage for a thermal transfer fluid to flow, the tubeless heat exchanger core further comprising a core inlet and a core outlet, and at least one of the core inlet and core outlet being disposed on the inner casing, and wherein the flow passage guides the flow of the thermal transfer fluid from the core inlet to the core outlet and wherein at least a portion of respective outer surfaces of the inner and outer casings are arranged to be contacted by the production fluid

Abstract: Disclosed in some examples are methods, systems, and machine readable mediums that provide users of a network-based financial account management system with a contextual user interface element, which when activated presents dynamic graphical user interfaces that provide financial account information as well as suggested financial performance improvement actions. Whether or not the contextual user interface is displayed may be based upon one or more of: a context of the user, financial account information of the user, and account rules. Additionally, the suggested financial performance improvement actions may also be determined based upon one or more of: a context of the user, financial account information of the user, and account rules.

Abstract: A computer-implemented system and method receive information regarding a funds transfer from a payor to a payee. The information is received by a depository computer system. The depository computer system forwards the information regarding the funds transfer to an account verification service computer system. The depository receives an indication of a real time account status of an account of the payor. The account status information is received from a paying bank computer system that maintains the account of the payor via the account verification service computer system. Release of the funds to the payee is authorized based on the account status information received via the account verification service computer system. The authorization occurs in real time relative to when the funds transfer information is initially received.

Abstract: Disclosed in some examples are methods, systems, and machine readable mediums for providing P2P lending through mobile wallets. The P2P lending may utilize a central registry or be a fully distributed P2P system. In some examples, the use of a network accessible P2P loan service may simplify the discovery and communication with other mobile wallets throughout the process of obtaining a loan.

Abstract: A system and method for projecting images including an illumination light beam (emitted by a source) and a collimated light beam (emitted by a laser source). The two light beams being combined into one light via a microlens array combined with a pinhole matrix located in the focal plane of the microlens array. The eyewear comprises flexible elements and a groove defined in and extending through the flexible elements and other parts of the eyewear. The present disclosure further relates to a flexible element, such as a hinge, which may be used in eyewear to enable bending of parts of the eyewear. Abstract: A method for separately registering a user and a mobile device for use of a mobile wallet account includes registering, by a registration terminal of a mobile wallet provider, a user for use of the mobile wallet account, including assigning one or more user-provided settings to the mobile wallet account. The method also includes receiving, by a computing system of the mobile wallet provider, a request from a mobile device to register the mobile device for use as a mobile wallet, identifying, by the computing system, the mobile wallet account of the registered user based on the request, and registering, by the computing system, the mobile device for use of the identified mobile wallet account, including associating the one or more user-provided settings with use of the mobile device.

Abstract: When delineating anatomical structures in a medical image of a patient for radiotherapy planning, a processor (18) detects landmarks (24) in a low-resolution image (e.g., MRI or low-dose CT) and maps the detected landmarks to reference landmarks (28) in a reference contour of the anatomical structure. The mapped landmarks facilitate adjusting the reference contour to fit the anatomical structure. The adjusted reference contour data is transformed and applied to a second image using a thin-plate spline, and the adjusted high-resolution image is used for radiotherapy planning.

Abstract: Techniques are described for performing forensic assisting and tracing of transaction data from an automated teller machine (ATM) to detect suspicious activity and potential security threats. The techniques include a forensic assisting and tracing (FAST) ATM configured to intercept data packets including transaction data generated by the ATM; map, store, and index the transaction data; and analyze metadata for the transaction data to generate reports on the operation of the ATM for a higher-level hub server. In some examples, a plurality of FAST ATMs may be networked to the hub server such that the hub server receives reports from each of the individual FAST ATMs and analyzes the reports to identify larger, global trends of suspicious activity and potential security threats.

Abstract: A diagnostic ultrasound system for carotid artery diagnosis has a two dimensional array probe with a low element count and relatively large element size which can cover an area of the carotid artery at its bifurcation. The elements are operated independently with no phasing, and detect Doppler flow spatially beneath each element. The system produces maps of carotid blood flow in two or three dimensions and can assemble an extended view of the flow by matching segments of the carotid flow as the probe is moved over the vessel. Once the carotid artery has been localized, the degree of stenosis is assessed by automated measurements of peak systolic velocity and blood flow turbulence.

Abstract: A garment steaming device includes a steam generator (20) having a heater (22) and an ironing surface (32) against which a fabric of a garment is locatable. An intermediate section (50) is disposed between the steam generator and the ironing surface to transfer heat from the steam generator to the ironing surface so that the ironing surface is indirectly heated by the steam generator via the intermediate section. The operating temperature of the ironing surface is not user selectable during use. Furthermore, the intermediate section is configured to have a thermal transmittance so that, during use, heat transfer from the steam generator to the ironing surface is controlled and the temperature of the ironing surface is maintained between 90° C. and 155° C. when the ironing surface is located against a fabric in each of a stationary condition and a moving condition.
