Abstract: An item level security system is provided that uses dynamic security settings to optimize the competing requirements for high security and transaction throughput. Customer metrics such as customer traffic volume and the number and type of items purchased change over the course of a day and are further influenced by the day of the week and by holidays and certain vacation schedules for local schools and employers. The invention provides dynamic security settings for the item level security system that address the changing customer metrics.

Abstract: Various embodiments herein each include at least one of systems, devices, methods, and software for automated session closing upon location-sensed departure. Some such embodiments may be implemented at retail outlets (e.g., restaurants, salons, stores, etc.) to automatically charge a customer account for ordered items upon an automated detection of a customer retail outlet departure. One embodiment, in the form of a method performed on a server-based system, includes receiving, via a network from a mobile device associated with a customer account, first data indicating the mobile device has departed a retail outlet. The method then generates, from stored retail session data, a final bill including an amount payable and then charges an amount payable from the final bill to a payment account associated with the customer account.

Abstract: An identity of a customer within an establishment is authenticated using a variety of captured biometric features obtained from sensors and/or video. Video capturing movements/interactions of the customer is analyzed in real time to identify the customer's behavior and actions. Any staff of the establishment who interact with the customer are identified from the video. Transaction data and other data retained for the customer by the establishment are aggregated and linked with the video and the customer identity. The linked data is analyzed in combination with the customer behavior and actions to determine responses within the establishment to customer-initiated transactions. In an embodiment, the customer is authorized to perform at least one transaction within the establishment based on the authenticated identity and linked data without a presentation by the customer of an identification card, a Personal Identification Number (PIN), a password and/or verification by a staff member.

Abstract: A valuable media sanitizing/cleansing cassette is provided for sanitizing/cleansing surfaces of valuable media dispensed to a consumer during a dispense transaction at a transaction terminal. Dispensed media is urged from one or more media cassettes within the terminal along a transport path. The transport path is altered to pass the media through the sanitizing/cleansing cassette where the top and bottom surfaces of the media are illuminated with Ultraviolet (UV) radiation to eradicate any bacteria or virus that may be adhered to the top or the bottom surfaces of the media. Once the media passes through the sanitizing/cleansing cassette, the now sanitized/cleansed media is urged along a remainder of the transport path and dispensed from a media interface of the terminal to the consumer. In an embodiment, media deposited at the terminal is also sanitized/cleansed by passing through the sanitizing/cleansing cassette before being stored in the appropriate media cassettes.

Abstract: A base transaction User Interface (UI) is provided that provides transaction processing for transactions at transaction terminals. The base UI can be customized through independent and decoupled customization/extension files, which provide specific UI customizations for UI screen content, UI screen styles, UI screen views, UI screen workflows, and UI screen resource functionality. Customizations or extensions are achieved without modifying the base UI. The customizations or extensions are dynamically obtained during execution of the base UI from the corresponding files and processed by the base UI as user-defined custom overrides.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing a payment messaging interface may include receiving, at a computing device comprising a processor, transaction information regarding the transaction. Once the transaction information is received, the transaction information may be translated into a data structure that corresponds to a payment processor. Once the transaction information has been translated, the data structure may be transmitted to the payment processor.

Abstract: A single device having a display manager that dynamically controls dual unique output formatting for multiple displays. The display manager detects changes made in configuration files having configuration instructions representing formatting instructions for each of the displays. Detected changes are dynamically processed by the display manager to alter, in real time, formatting of content being rendered on the displays.

Abstract: A user makes a request from a requesting device for access to a secure operation associated with a network-based service. A first biometric authentication is processed for the request and at least one second scope-based authentication is processed for the request based on an analysis of a physical environment for the requesting device. A determination is made based on at least the first biometric authentication and the scope-based authentication whether the secure operation can be: processed on behalf of the user by the network-based service, not processed at all, or processed only if requested from a specific medium/channel associated with a specific device, which may or may not be the requesting device.

Abstract: A transaction is maintained in a shopping cart and processed by a transaction manager in cooperation with a transaction application of a user device. The status device displays a code that when obtained by user device and provided to the transaction manager links the cart to the status device. Acquisition of the code is an indication that the customer associated with the cart is ready to checkout and pay for the items in the cart. The entire payment processing between the application, the transaction manager, and a payment service is monitored by transaction manager. Payment processing statuses for the payment as it processes in real time are sent from the transaction manager to the status device. Status device displays payment status messages on a display of that device and/or illuminates colored lights and/or plays specialized audible sounds indicative of the statuses as the payment processing continues in real time.

The first body portion may have a first edge and a second edge. The second body portion may have a third edge. The second body portion may be connected to the first body portion so as to define a duct cavity. The first edge may define a duct cavity exhaust opening. The second edge and the third edge may define a duct cavity inlet opening.

Abstract: An asset is identified in a predefined area. The type of asset is identified through video or wireless tag identification. A security policy associated with the type of asset is obtained. Entries in an asset log are recorded based on a location of the asset, an individual handling the asset, and/or actions taken by an individual with respect to the asset based on the security policy. A real-time notification is sent when the location, the handling, and/or any of the actions warrant a notification based on the security policy.

Abstract: A first device is detected within a geofenced area of an establishment. A second device is determined to be within the geofenced area. A first individual associated with the first device is instructed to enter the establishment and complete a first portion of opening security procedures associated with an opening of the establishment. Upon completion of the first portion, a second individual associated with the second device is instructed to enter the establishment for a second portion of the opening security procedures. The first individual and the second individual are monitored through video feeds during the first portion and the second portion of the opening security procedures for compliance with the opening security procedures.

Abstract: A Self-Service Terminal (SST) that provides valuable media deposit features is enhanced with an apparatus fastened to an outside surface of the SST. The apparatus is adapted to receive an externally provided valuable media cassette and connect/interface a port of the cassette to an unload infeed port. A transaction interface is enhanced to identify the cassette as a source device for obtaining valuable media during a deposit transaction. The SST feeds the valuable media from the externally connected cassette through media validation and transport modules of the SST into cassettes of a safe and the SST returns rejected media for the deposit transaction back through the modules to return rejected media to the externally interfaced cassette.

Abstract: Individuals are monitored for actions and behaviors of the individuals during performance of establishment processes through video feeds captured by cameras. Transaction information associated with transactions being processed by a transaction system of the establishment are monitored. The actions, behaviors, transaction information, and establishment processes are correlated to process controls of the establishment and logged in an audit log. Non-compliant actions, behaviors, or transaction information with respect to the process controls generate real-time alerts, real-time assistance for compliance by any offending individual, and/or remedial training for compliance of the offending individual.

Abstract: A device is configured for dynamically obtaining updated hash values for certificate processing of endpoints from a dedicated and single server. The server's certificate is signed by a certificate authority that is the sole and root authority for the certificate processing on the device. When endpoints are connected to the device, the hash values are compared against computed hash values for the endpoints' certificates. Connections are deemed secure for the device when the computed hash values match the hash values provided by the server.

Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for generating a planogram of a store. The systems and methods may include receiving a plurality of images and transaction data. At least one of the plurality of images may include user data representing a user proximate the product. The transaction data may be associated with a completed purchase of the product. Based on the transaction data and the user data, a probability of the user retrieving the product may be determined and used to generate the planogram of the store.

Abstract: A media terminal includes two integrated currency devices, each device providing at least one feature/operation that is similar to or is the same as the other device. Two independent sessions to each device are made and presented to a transaction application of the terminal as a single aggregated session. When the transaction application issues a command through the single aggregated session, a decision is made that is transparent to the application as to which device should process the command on behalf of the application and the command is issued to the selected device over the corresponding independent session. Results or notifications provided by the selected device are aggregated and provided to the application over the single aggregated session. In an embodiment, the two integrated currency devices are different types of devices from one another.

Abstract: A method includes monitoring patterns of commands provided by a self-service terminal controller, identifying potential fraud in the monitored patterns of commands, and suspending operation of a dispenser of the self-service terminal responsive to the identification of potential fraud.

Abstract: A touch field is created around a touchscreen display, the field is in front of a touch surface of the display and the field maps to locations on the display. An operator of a terminal during a transaction is presented with transaction interface screens that are visually rendered on the display. The operator makes interface options selections, performs screen navigation, and provides date entry field inputs by placing the operator's hand within the field without touching the touch surface of the display and making hand poses, hand movements, and/or hand gestures. The poses, movements, and/or gestures are translated into touch actions and touch inputs recognized by the transaction interface and processed as operator-provided input during the transaction.
