  • Patent number: 7660237
Abstract: A switching unit (1011) receives video data (103) sent from a device (102), and sends an ATM cell synchronized with the clock to switching units (1012-1014) by a signal (including optical data) containing a frequency component serving as a synchronous clock supply source. If a fault occurs midway along a line, the switching unit (1012) which detects the fault sends an AIS cell to an OAM connection (109). The termination switching unit (1014) switches a port f for receiving a synchronous clock to a port g, and sends back an RDI cell. The switching units (1013, 1012) which have received the RDI cell switch the synchronous clock to ports e and c and receive it, thus obtaining an identical clock.

  • Patent number: 7657248
Abstract: To provide a wireless system in which a terminal that is shutdown or on in standby can be activated from a remote site in an environment where connection is attested by an authentication server, using security technology for wireless LAN, a different encryption key from other terminals is employed in the communication, and the encryption key is periodically renewed. An access point controls a beacon transmission interval control part by recognizing a terminal activation signal from a management terminal. The beacon transmission interval control part controls the transmission interval of beacon by switching between a normal operation mode and a patterned transmission interval mode. A beacon transmission interval detection circuit of a terminal monitors interval between beacons, and upon detecting patterned beacons, outputs a detection signal. A wireless module receives the detection signal from the beacon transmission interval detection circuit, and then makes an activation request to the terminal.

  • Patent number: 7643479
Abstract: A communication transfer apparatus and a communication transfer method can transfer communications at low cost without the need of requesting a global IP network to switch any port number. The local internet protocol address of the origin terminal of transfer described in a record relating to a transfer out of the records of the masquerade table that is utilized for an internet protocol masquerade is rewritten as the local internal protocol address of the destination terminal of transfer, while maintaining the global port number of the record.

  • Patent number: 7640167
Abstract: A skill authentication server publicizes a home page for test question creation over a communication network. The skill authentication server transmits a home page for a test question creation information input screen to a shop terminal, upon an access from the shop terminal, and receives the screen input information from the shop terminal to create a home page for skill authentication test questions. The shop terminal generates the skill authentication result that becomes the content of an ID card of the customer on the basis of the test answer information from a customer terminal that is input into the home page for skill authentication test questions, and transmits it to a card company server and the shop terminal. The customer inserts the ID card including the skill authentication result into the shop terminal and accepts a guidance suitable for the skill authentication result.

  • Publication number: 20090287954
Abstract: A single main unit manages information on hardware resources and the like of all main units connected to a network in an integrated fashion. A slot management module, a slot control module, and a physical slot/managed slot comparison table are provided between an input/output control module and a slot interface subordinate thereto. The input/output control module accesses the slot interface by using virtual slot identification information. The slot management module refers to the physical slot/managed slot comparison table, converts the virtual slot identification information into physical slot identification information, and accesses a slot control module corresponding to the physical slot identification information obtained by the conversion, thereby realizing a physical access of the input/output control module to the slot interface.

  • Publication number: 20090275336
Abstract: A quality memory unit remembers a quality table in which qualities of communication with radio base stations are arranged according to identification information of the radio base stations. A processing unit determines, based on the quality table in the quality memory unit, a selecting radio base station to select a switching radio base station to be a connection destination after switching. The processing unit sends the quality table to the selecting radio base station when switching the connection destination radio base stations. A mobile station communication unit receives identification information specifying the switching radio base station selected based on the quality table sent from the processing unit and sends a connection request to the switching radio base station specified by the identification information.

  • Patent number: 7607847
Abstract: In a printer including a base frame, an upper frame rotatably coupled to the base frame, and a platen and a platen pulley both rotatably supported by the upper frame, a subframe is attached to the upper frame rotatably and movably in one direction. A reduction gear and a belt pulley both are rotatably supported by the subframe. A drive gear is rotatably supported by the base frame and engaged with the reduction gear. A drive belt is stretched between the platen pulley and the belt pulley. A spring is attached between the upper frame and the subframe. The base frame has a guiding portion concentric with the drive gear. The subframe has a guided portion opposite the guiding portion. The spring applies tension to the drive belt and brings the guided portion into contact with the guiding portion.
