Abstract: An silicon-containing electrode is formed by coating a silicon-containing slurry onto a conductive current collector. The slurry comprises a binder solution comprising a poly(carboxylic acid) binder dissolved in a mixed solvent system comprising an amide solvent of Formula I, as described herein, and a second solvent which can be water and/or an organic solvent. The binder preferably comprises poly(acrylic acid). The mixed solvent system comprises about 10 to about 99 vol % of the amide solvent of Formula I. The binder solution is utilized as a solvent for a slurry of silicon-containing particles for preparing the silicon-containing electrode. The slurries comprising the mixed solvent system have higher viscosity and are more stable than slurries containing the same concentrations of silicon particles, carbon particles, and binder in water as the sole solvent.

The harvesting reel assembly includes a central rotatable shaft connected to the support arm, a reel member extending widthwise across the harvesting reel assembly and connected to the central rotatable shaft for rotation therewith, and a first cam assembly rotatable about a first end of the central rotatable shaft. The first cam assembly includes a first cam plate, a first non-circular cam track for guiding rotation of the reel member and a first adjustor. The first adjustor is operatively engaged with the first cam plate and pivotably connected to the support arm for adjusting a rotational position of the first cam assembly relative to the central rotatable shaft.
Abstract: An elevator cab and method of sterilizing the air of an elevator comprising, a plenum configured to fluidly connect to an interior of the elevator cab, at least one intake formed in the side walls of the elevator cab and in fluid communication with the plenum, a fan configured to draw air from the elevator cab via the intake duct and the plenum, and a kill box, including a source of ultraviolet C (UVC) light, and configured to receive air via the fan, wherein the UVC light is configured to sterilize air removed from the elevator cab.
Abstract: Nuclear energy integrated hydrocarbon operation systems include a well site having a subsurface hydrocarbon well configured to produce a produced water output. The system further includes a deployable nuclear reactor system configured to produce a heat output. The system may further include a deployable desalination unit configured to produce a desalinated water output using the produced water output of the subsurface hydrocarbon well and the heat output of the deployable nuclear reactor. The system may further include a deployable off-gas processing system configured to produce an industrial chemical using the off-gas output of the subsurface hydrocarbon well and the heat output of the deployable nuclear reactor.
Abstract: An ammunition cartridge comprised of a projectile inserted in, and mechanically connected to, a metal cartridge case assembly having a propulsion chamber and a base, and an energetic propellant disposed in the propulsion chamber, includes a base plug in which is mounted an igniter with an energetic primer. During manufacture of the cartridge, a fusible support ring is incorporated into a metal cavity. The cartridge base includes a cavity allowing the fusible material to solidify at ambient temperatures. When exposed to heat from an external fire, the fusible support plug liquefies losing its strength and subsequently, when a propellant or primer off-gasses or auto-ignites the pressure from the reaction ejects a metal plug or lid from the cartridge case base, creating a void that allows the propellant and primer to combust in an unconfined space.
Abstract: A method for programming a non-volatile memory structure, wherein the method comprises initiating a two-dimensional fractional number of bits-per-cell programming scheme with respect to at least a first memory cell and a second memory cell of a plurality of memory cells of the memory structure, wherein the memory structure comprises: (1) a first memory array that comprises a first population of the plurality of memory cells and associated peripheral circuitry disposed below the first population of the plurality of memory cells, (2) a second memory array that is positioned above the first memory array and comprises a second population of the plurality of memory cells and the associated peripheral circuitry that is disposed above the second population of the plurality of memory cells, and (3) a data bus tap electrically coupling the first memory array and the second memory array.
Abstract: A chair is provided with a seat support frame which may be comprised of at least two tubes spaced apart by a polymer connector. The seat support frame supports a foam cushion and the frame may be embedded in the foam and may include flexible supports across the support frame also embedded in the foam. A rigid panel has a cavity and the rigid panel is arranged adjacent an outer surface of the foam cushion with at least part of the foam cushion positioned within the cavity, wherein the rigid panel is affixed to the support frame and an inner surface of the rigid panel faces the outer surface of the foam cushion.

The locomotion system of a motorized unit comprises a locomotion controller and a motor. The 3D scanner system comprises a depth sensor and a 3D scanner processor configured to identify a 3D space associated with a storage area, estimate an occupied volume in the 3D space associated with the storage area based on a 3D scan from the depth sensor, and estimate a stock level of the storage area based on the occupied volume. The central computer system comprises a control circuit configured to receive estimated stock levels from the 3D scanner system and update an inventory database based on the estimated stock levels received from the 3D scanner.
Abstract: An anatomical brace for dynamically stabilizing the patella during knee articulation so as to address patella tracking error, the anatomical brace being configured such that, when the anatomical brace is mounted to the knee of a patient, and when the knee thereafter moves to full extension, the anatomical brace applies a proximal/medial force to the patella of the patient, and when the knee thereafter moves to full flexion, the proximal/medial force is released.
Abstract: A native application on a client computing device enables secure user authentication via an identity provider (IdP) for accessing services of a web service provider. The native application forwards a redirect request generated by a main gateway of the service provider and including an IdP uniform resource locator (URL) to a system browser of the client computing device. The redirect request directs the system browser to a broker gateway of the service provider that registers an authentication response handler and redirects the system browser to the IdP URL to enable a user of the native client computing device to authenticate. After the broker gateway receives an IdP authentication response from the IdP following authentication by the user, the broker gateway provides the IdP authentication response to the native application for providing back to the main gateway. The main gateway finally processes the authentication response to complete the authentication request.
Abstract: A dome cap and tail plug assembly for a flow control device include a dome that attaches to an upper end of a body of the flow control device and a tail plug that screws into a top of the dome cap. A seal is provided between the dome cap and the tail plug. The seal can be formed by one or more sealing elements, such as O-rings, positioned between the dome cap and the tail plug. The seal can also be provided by engagement between a shoulder on the tail plug bearing against an end face of the dome cap. Also, threads used to couple the tail plug to the dome cap could be conical threads, which also help to provide a seal between the dome cap and the tail plug.

Abstract: Techniques are described herein for determining an information gain score for one or more documents of interest to the user and present information from the documents based on the information gain score. An information gain score for a given document is indicative of additional information that is included in the document beyond information contained in documents that were previously viewed by the user. In some implementations, the information gain score may be determined for one or more documents by applying data from the documents across a machine learning model to generate an information gain score. Based on the information gain scores of a set of documents, the documents can be provided to the user in a manner that reflects the likely information gain that can be attained by the user if the user were to view the documents.
