Abstract: A plastic pyrolysis process produces light olefin product and heavier products. The light olefin products are separated in a recovery process while the heavier product can be sent to a cracking unit to be further cracked to desired products. The cracked effluent stream may be subjected to the recovery process along with the light olefin product.

Abstract: Techniques described herein are directed to arbitrating between multiple potentially-responsive, automated-assistant capable electronic devices to determine which should respond to the user's utterance, and/or which should defer to other electronic device(s). In various implementations, a spoken utterance of a user may be detected at a microphone of a first electronic device, a spoken utterance provided by a user. Sound(s) emitted by additional electronic device(s) may also be detected at the microphone. Each of the sound(s) may encode a timestamp corresponding to detection of the spoken utterance at a respective electronic device. Timestamp(s) may be extracted from the sound(s) and compared to a local timestamp corresponding to detection of the spoken utterance at the first electronic device. Based on the comparison, the first electronic device may either invoke an automated assistant locally or defer to one of the additional electronic devices.
Abstract: The disclosure generally pertains to systems and methods for contact center channel merging. In an example method, a first inbound communication associated with a vehicle event may be received from a first vehicle component of a vehicle via a first communication medium, the first inbound communication including a first identifier. A second inbound communication associated with the vehicle event may be received from a second vehicle component of the vehicle via a second communication medium, the second inbound communication including a second identifier. It may be determined that a first time associated with the first inbound communication and a second time associated with the second inbound communication are within a predetermined threshold, and that the first identifier and the second identifier are both associated with the vehicle. At least one notification may be sent based in part on an aggregation of the first inbound communication and the second inbound communication.

Abstract: A client device for use with an access point device, a gateway device, and an external server having stored therein firmware version information indicating a most recent firmware version number, n, associated with the access point device. The access point device having a loaded firmware version number, m, loaded thereon. The client device includes a memory and a processor, which may cause the client device to: connect to the access point device; obtain, from the access point device, the loaded firmware version number, m; obtain, from the external server, the most recent firmware version number, n; disconnect from the access point device; and wait a predetermined period of time and then connect to the gateway device, wherein the predetermined period of time is a first period of time when m=n, and wherein the predetermined period of time is a second period of time when m<n.
Abstract: Certificate usage data is generated which identifies which processes or applications use which specific certificates. A certificate-specific usage model is generated based upon the certificate usage data and is used to detect anomalous usage of a certificate, by an application or process that has not previously used the certificate to authenticate itself to the computing system.
Abstract: An array of light emitting devices is mounted on a support surface with the transparent growth substrate (e.g., sapphire) facing up. A photoresist layer is then deposited over the top surface of the growth substrate, followed by depositing a reflective material over the top and side surfaces of the light emitting devices to encapsulate the light emitting devices. The top surfaces of the light emitting devices are then ground down to remove the reflective material over the top surface of the photoresist. The photoresist is then dissolved to leave a cavity over the growth substrate having reflective walls. The cavity is then filled with a phosphor. The phosphor-converted light emitting devices are then singulated to form packaged light emitting devices. All side light is reflected back into the light emitting device by the reflective material and eventually exits the light emitting device toward the phosphor. The packaged light emitting devices, when energized, appear as a white dot with no side emission (e.g.
Abstract: A system and method for pre-charging a DC link of a multi-level power converter, to reduce electrical transients or to decrease a charging current when a converter contactor/disconnect switch is closed, is described. The systems and methods of the present disclosure also provides a new and simplified system for pre-charging a DC link of a multi-level power converter by leveraging a neutral point of a multi-level power converter and a single-line connection to the grid side of the power converter. The DC link charger of the present disclosure, therefore, is capable of reducing the quantity of dedicated superfluous hardware and/or excess resistors, contactors, transformers, fuses, diodes, balancing components, rectifier modules, etc. demanded by conventional systems. Reduced quantities of electronic components and hardware can thereby decrease system costs per unit and lead to significant cost savings.

Abstract: Apparatus and methods related to on-boarding software applications on a platform used in a content delivery and/or service provider network. In one embodiment, a centralized platform such as a premises gateway is provided to act as an application portal or store for all consumer devices that connects to a service provider network. In one variant, a software architecture is provided for the gateway which includes at least one of an open-sourced OS (e.g., OpenWrt) and containerization engine (e.g., Docker) which enables a broader range of application compatibility with the gateway itself and end user devices within the premises by abstracting the services and functions above the specific hardware/firmware configurations of each of the end user devices.
Abstract: A biopotential measurement device including a plurality of sensing electrodes and a controller is described. The plurality of sensing electrodes is adapted to measure one or more biopotential signals when the plurality of sensing electrodes is worn. The controller is coupled to the plurality of sensing electrodes and memory that stores instructions that when executed by the controller cause the biopotential measurement device to perform operations. The operations include collecting electrical signals over a first time period, each of the electrical signals associated with at least one of the plurality of sensing electrodes, mixing the electrical signals to generate a biopotential dataset that includes permutations of the electrical signals, and identifying a target biopotential signal included in the one or more biopotential signals based, at least in part, on the biopotential dataset.

Abstract: A method of electronic communication via a virtual network function (NFV) implementation of a core network. The method comprises receiving a hypertext transfer protocol (HTTP) content request from a user equipment (UE), wherein the HTTP content request comprises an identification of a content source and determining by an orchestrator service that insufficient NFV processing capacity is available to perform the HTTP content request, where the orchestrator service is an application that executes on a first physical host. The method further comprises dynamically increasing the NFV processing capacity by the orchestrator service, performing the HTTP content request using the increased NFV processing capacity, and returning a HTTP content response to the UE, wherein the HTTP content response does not comprise identification of the content source.
