  • Patent number: 11592269
Abstract: A concealed amalgamated neutralizer device covertly combines neutralizer material of inert materials such as calcium carbonate or silicates with common energetic material for the prevention of malicious use of the energetic material. The concealed amalgamated neutralizer device may vary in shape, size, and color and is therefore adaptable to varying methods of containment. The neutralizer material mimics the energetic material without detection. Upon disassembly of the concealed amalgamated neutralizer device, the neutralizer material is mixed with and neutralizes the energetic material rendering the energetic material useless. A container is provided which has a bottom section having an interior surface including a plurality of integrally formed recesses that are filled with the energetic material which allow manipulation of flash direction and intensity upon detonation.

  • Publication number: 20230045496
Abstract: Flame resistant fabrics are provided that exhibit improved protection from molten metal spills, metal splatter, electric arc, and related thermal hazards illustratively including open flame and radiant heat. The flame resistant fabrics are made from a combination of cellulosic fibers and thermoplastic fibers, where the flame resistant fabric forms a char layer that does not become brittle when contacted by molten metal, metal splatter, electric arc, and related thermal hazards. By not becoming brittle the likelihood of break out of the fabric is minimized, thereby improving the level of protection to the user. As a result, the flame resistant fabric retains the desirable properties of fibers formed of organic materials in terms of comfort, weight, and durability.

  • Patent number: 11572787
Abstract: A process is used for the renovation or new construction of corrugated sheet metal tunnels. The corrugated sheets are sandblasted for cleaning and room cleaning. Then anchoring elements are welded to the rough side of the sheets. A layer of shotcrete is applied to this roughened side of the sheets to obtain a smooth coating over the crests and valleys of the sheets. A reinforcement net is placed on this layer and a second layer of shotcrete or mortar is applied to cover the reinforcement net. The top layer can be smoothed. The subsequent corrugated sheet metal tunnel includes corrugated sheets covering the tunnel walls and ceilings with the course direction of their wave crests and valleys parallel to the circumferential direction of the tunnel profile. The corrugated sheets on the inside and/or outside of the tunnel are reinforced with an applied reinforced concrete layer.

  • Patent number: 11565113
Abstract: A system and method for improving heart contractions during a heart function cycle (heartbeat) of a patient requires detecting a local electrical event (depolarization) during the cycle. This local electrical event is then used to trigger a stimulation interval ?t at a time t0. Importantly, the stimulation interval ?t is set to end at a time t1 during the absolute refractory period of the heart function cycle. At the time t1, a stimulator is triggered to stimulate a local sympathetic nerve on the epicardial surface of the heart. With this stimulation the sympathetic nerve secretes norepinephrine to improve a subsequent contraction of the heart.
