  • Patent number: 11730267
Abstract: A linkage for use in reclining furniture may include a back bracket supported by forward and rear back pivot links. The bottom of the rear back pivot link may be pivotably coupled to a rear lift link and the bottom of the forward back pivot link may be pivotably coupled to the rear lift link in a different location. A control link may be pivotably coupled on one end to one of the forward back pivot link and the rear back pivot link. The control link may pull the pivoting linkage of the back bracket and the forward and back pivot links as the overall linkage is moved from a closed to a TV to a full-recline position. The resulting pivot point for the back is projected upwardly and forwardly, to a point where an upholstered back and seat meet on a finished chair.

  • Publication number: 20230251064
Abstract: A net-shape ballistic panel is formed by a process of arranging a fiber bundle on a substrate to form a layer, the layer following a shape of the ballistic panel, securing the fiber bundle to the substrate with a plurality of stitches to form a preform layer, arranging additional layers of fiber bundles on the preform layer, each layer of the additional layers following the shape of the ballistic panel, and each fiber bundle being secured with a plurality of stitches to each layer of the additional layers to form a plurality of preform layers. A resin is then impregnated into the preform layers and subsequently cured using a process such as compression molding. The resulting ballistic panel is relatively thin while exhibiting an excellent ballistic rating (e.g., V50).

  • Publication number: 20230243630
Abstract: A concealed amalgamated neutralizer device covertly combines neutralizer material of inert materials such as calcium carbonate or silicates with common energetic material for the prevention of malicious use of the energetic material. The concealed amalgamated neutralizer device may vary in shape, size, and color and is therefore adaptable to varying methods of containment. The neutralizer material mimics the energetic material without detection. Upon disassembly of the concealed amalgamated neutralizer device, the neutralizer material is mixed with and neutralizes the energetic material rendering the energetic material useless. A container is provided which has a bottom section having an interior surface including a plurality of integrally formed recesses that are filled with the energetic material which allow manipulation of flash direction and intensity upon detonation.

  • Patent number: 11705909
Abstract: A frequency-locked circuit for a variable frequency topology is configured to trigger a Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) controller to lock a frequency of a driving signal outputted by the PWM controller. The frequency-locked circuit includes an AC wave generating circuit and a comparator. The AC wave generating circuit receives and converts the driving signal to generate an AC wave signal. The comparator is electrically connected to the AC wave generating circuit and receives the AC wave signal. The comparator compares the AC wave signal with a reference signal to generate a comparison output signal. In response to determining that the AC wave signal is greater than the reference signal, the comparison output signal triggers the PWM controller to convert the driving signal from one voltage level to another voltage level so as to lock the frequency. The one voltage level is different from the another voltage level.

  • Publication number: 20230212603
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to development of a eukaryotic cell expression vector satisfying optimized conditions for gene therapies and DNA vaccines. As a result of replacing the full HCMV regulatory and transcribed region including the immediate early (IE) gene intron A of the HCMV Towne strain and the same region of various HCMV strains at the pVAX1 promoter region and comparing the difference in gene expression efficiency for the different HCMV strains, the eukaryotic cell expression vector of the present disclosure could increase the expression of various genes by about 50-150% as compared to the HCMV Towne strain. Through this, pHP3 was developed as a vector exhibiting high expression in eukaryotic cells, and it can be usefully used for gene therapies or DNA vaccines.
