Abstract: One or more interactions between a first user and a second user of a social networking system are identified. Each respective interaction of the one or more interactions is scored based on a group score and a time penalty. The group score is based on the number of users in the respective interaction and the time penalty is based on a time between a current time and a time of a last interaction between the first user and the second user. A relationship ranking that measures the first user's affinity towards the second user is determined, where the relationship ranking comprises one or more interaction scores. An indicator representing the relationship ranking is sent to a client for display.

Abstract: Direct drive rotating electrical machines with axial air gaps are disclosed. In these machines, a rotor ring and stator ring define an axial air gap between them. Sets of gap-maintaining rolling supports bear between the rotor ring and the stator ring at their peripheries to maintain the axial air gap. Also disclosed are wind turbines using these generators, and structures and methods for mounting direct drive rotating electrical generators to the hubs of wind turbines. In particular, the rotor ring of the generator may be carried directly by the hub of a wind turbine to rotate relative to a shaft without being mounted directly to the shaft.

Abstract: An automated proactive electronic resource allocation processing system can allocate resources based at least in part on configuration information. In one embodiment, a processing system can determine a strategic configuration of user accounts (“Accounts”) based on information collected about a user. One or more computing resources can communicate, such as over a network, to configure a plurality of Account features, attributes, identities, permissions, controls, and/or restrictions for each Account in order to accomplish objectives related to the resources. One or more computing resources can be configured to proactively and automatically allocate resources to one or more user Accounts. A computing resource associated with a user Account can be configured to complete a plurality of desired or necessary transactions, including receiving, holding, and reporting current balance information, and/or transferring portions of the financial resources to other user Accounts or other non-user accounts.

Abstract: A system records the movement of people carrying mobile devices within a specific area. A plurality of receivers distributed throughout the specified area monitor the area for wireless communication from a mobile device. Mobile devices are identified by way of a unique identifier, e.g. IMSI, IMEI, MAC address, or similar transmitted on a control channel or the like. Whenever such wireless communication is detected, the direction from which the signal is received is detected. The position of the mobile device (and hence the person carrying it) may be calculated by triangulating results from two or more receiving devices, and the results stored.
Abstract: A classification system has a classification server that receives data for an email and determines if the email message is suspicious, legitimate but failing authentication, forwarded or fully authenticated and legitimate when the domains are owned, or not owned, by the domain owner. Email messages are categorized and presented in a report that enables the email sender to identify and fix a network, malicious traffic, and legitimate messages that have failed authentication beyond control. It also highlights where everything is going well.

Abstract: A method of serving a resource to a client via a computer network is provided. The method may include at an HTTP server system having a stateless microkernel architecture, the server system including one or more link resource servers, receiving an HTTP request for a resource from an HTTP client via a computer network, the request being to perform a resource operation, the resource operation being to retrieve the resource and send the resource to the requesting client, wherein the resource is a data object. The method may further include determining if the resource operation is authorized based on the request.
Abstract: A mobile telephone obtains (or is supplied) advertising content from a remote server and locally stores that advertising content. The advertising content is then automatically shown in association with a running, in use (e.g. in foreground) application that generates a screen that an end-user interacts with (‘an end-user application’). The content is shown ‘automatically’ in the sense that the advertising content is displayed without the end-user explicitly requesting any specific item of content, (although he may opt-in to the general approach of having advertising content displayed on his mobile telephone). The telephone itself determines which adverts etc. it should display, depending on which application is currently being used (i.e. is currently displayed on screen).

Each tray has opposing edges, at least one of the opposing edges carried by the stationary frame around the opposing sides of the stationary frame member.
Abstract: The present invention relates to methods and devices for formation of microconduits in tissue, particularly using an impedance sensing drill to form microconduits. One embodiment of the invention is an impedance sensing drill comprising a drilling assembly, a control module, mechanically connected to the drilling assembly for controlling the depth of drilling by the drilling assembly; and a sensor, electrically connected to the drilling assembly and control module for detecting a change in an electrical impedance of a material being drilled. Another embodiment is a method of forming a microconduit in a material, which comprises the steps of drilling into the material, monitoring an electrical impedance of the material, and stopping the drilling into the material when a change in the impedance is detected, thereby forming microconduit.
Abstract: A user interacts with content received from a remote server; content (e.g. feeds from social networking sites, advertisements) is received over a wireless network at a mobile telephone, which then automatically displays a specific item of the content on the mobile telephone, without the user explicitly requesting the display of that specific item of content. In response to the user selecting or highlighting the displayed specific item of content, the mobile telephone lists multiple options that, if individually selected, each initiate an associated action that corresponds to a particular way of responding to or interacting with the specific item of content.

Abstract: Systems and methods for enabling communication between a user and at least one entity by a communication service are disclosed. In one example, the method comprises acts of receiving a search for the at least one entity, analyzing the search, by a processor, to determine search results based on the search including the at least one entity, receiving a message from the user to the at least one entity, the message including inquiry information directed to the at least one entity, determining, by the processor, presence status associated with the at least one entity, establishing, by the processor, a communication channel between the user and the at least one entity based on the presence status, and transmitting a response to the message based on the inquiry information via the communication channel.

Abstract: A method of providing a fast path message transfer agent is provided. The method includes receiving bytes of a message over a network connection and determining whether the number of bytes exceeds a predetermined threshold. If the number of bytes is less than a predetermined threshold, then the message is written only to memory. However, if the number of bytes exceeds the predetermined threshold, then some of the bytes (e.g. up to the predetermined threshold) are written to memory, wherein the remainder of the bytes are stored onto the non-volatile storage. If the message was received successfully by each destination, then the message is removed from the memory/non-volatile storage. If not, all failed destinations are identified and the message (with associated failed destinations) is stored on the non-volatile storage for later sending.

Abstract: This disclosure is directed to compositions that combine the polysaccharide-specific antibody protection afforded by the conventional vaccines through carrier effects provided by one or more pneumococcal common T-cell antigen(s) together with Streptococcus pneumoniae-specific Th-17 responses elicited by the pneumococcal carrier common T-cell antigen. The disclosed compositions are useful for pan-serotypic protection against NP carriage, and antibody responses against common pneumococcal virulence factors, potentially useful for pan-serotype protection against Streptococcus pneumoniae invasive diseases.

Abstract: A method of serving a resource to a client via a computer network is provided. The method may include providing a follow location handler logically positioned on a WAN side of an HTTP server. At the follow location handler, the method may include receiving a POST request from the client, and forwarding the POST request to the HTTP server. At the HTTP server, the method may include receiving the POST request, creating a modified data object based upon the form data, generating a link to the modified data object, and returning the link. At the follow location handler, the method may include intercepting the link to the modified data object from the server, sending a GET request to the server to retrieve the modified data object, and, in response, receiving the modified data object. The method may further include forwarding the modified data object to the client.
