Abstract: A dissipative peristaltic pump tube includes a dissipative layer including a thermoplastic elastomer and an anti-static additive, wherein the surface resistivity of the dissipative peristaltic pump tube is at least about 106 ohm/square. Further included is a peristaltic pump that includes the dissipative peristaltic pump tube.
Abstract: The present specification discloses a remotely operated light bar tilting system that adjusts the tilt angle of a light source about an attachment base mounted to a vehicle or other structure. A remotely operated light bar tilting system disclosed herein comprises an actuator coupled to and rotates with the light source to adjust the tilt of the light source by pushing or pulling on a linkage assembly that transmits a force from the actuator to an attachment base. The linkage assembly can include a ternary link or other similar link or assembly of links that can transmit force to the attachment base for tilting the light source. The tilting mechanism is entirely supported by the attachment base creating a compact system that does not require the actuator be mounted to a separate base on the vehicle.
Abstract: Disclosed herein are plasticized poly(vinyl chloride) compounds. One aspect relates to a flame retardant poly(vinyl chloride) compound, comprising a mixture of poly(vinyl chloride); and a plasticizer comprising polymeric plasticizer, and/or alkyl aryl fire retardant plasticizer, wherein the mixture has a Limiting Oxygen Index of greater than 50% according to ASTM D2863; an Elongation at Break of at least 10% according to ASTM D638 (Type IV); and a Modulus of Elasticity of less than about 15,000 psi according to ASTM 638 (Type IV).
Abstract: Disclosed herein are drilling fluid compositions suitable for use, for example, in drilling a well bore through a subterranean formation and other oil and gas operations. The drilling fluid compositions of the present disclosure include the condensation product of a trifunctional amine and a fatty acid and an oil base fluid. The present disclosure also described processes for preparing drilling fluid compositions.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a process for stabilizing an antimony ammoxidation catalyst in an ammoxidation process. The process may comprise providing an antimony ammoxidation catalyst to a reactor; reacting propylene with ammonia and oxygen in the fluidized bed reactor in the presence of the antimony ammoxidation catalyst to form a crude acrylonitrile product; and adding an effective amount of an antimony-containing compound to the antimony ammoxidation catalyst to maintain catalyst conversion and selectivity; wherein the antimony-containing compound has a melting point less than 375° C. The present disclosure also relates to catalyst compositions and additional processes using the antimony ammoxidation catalyst stabilized by an antimony-containing compound.
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed that include providing a valve suitable for maintaining a seal and preventing fluid flow through the valve at cryogenic temperatures. The valve includes a valve body having a longitudinal axis along a flow path through the valve, a ball selectively rotatable within the valve body to selectively allow fluid flow through the valve, a seat formed within the valve body and comprising a cavity having an angled wall, and a seat insert at least partially disposed within the cavity and having a first sealing surface that forms a first sealing interface with the ball to prevent leakage through a first leakage path and a second sealing surface that forms a second sealing interface with the angled wall to prevent leakage through a second leakage path when the ball valve is selectively rotated to prevent fluid flow through the valve.
Abstract: A rail nut spacer is shown and described, and may have a body and one or more threaded inserts positioned along a width of the body. Threaded inserts may be retained within the rail nut spacer by surface characteristics on each insert to prevent movement thereof with respect to the rail nut spacer. The rail nut spacer may be inserted in a first direction into a slot extending through a width of a housing, such that the slot prevents movement of the rail nut spacer in a second direction. Fasteners may extend through a bezel, through the slot, and/or through the threaded inserts to secure the bezel to the rail nut spacer. The bezel may exert a force on a media to secure the media to the housing. The bezel, media, and/or housing may be sealed together by a gasket to protect an interior of the housing from contaminants.
Abstract: A sound absorbing multi-layer composite for a vehicle that reduces sounds along an acoustic path is configured with a non-foam polymeric layer and a face layer for dissipating sound energy. Also, the face layer may be made of a nonwoven polymer comprising at least 60% of a polyamide containing an aliphatic diamine having 6 or more carbon atoms and an aliphatic diacid having 6 or more carbon atoms. The weighted overall average fiber diameter of the composite is from 2 microns to 25 microns.
Abstract: A modular cross car beam assembly for use with a vehicle includes an intermediate beam section, a driver side beam section, and a passenger side beam section. Furthermore, the driver side beam section and the passenger side beam section are attachable on either side of the intermediate beam section depending on whether the vehicle is a left-hand-drive vehicle or a right-hand-drive vehicle.
Abstract: Provided therefore herein is a novel acidic fluoride activated cleaning chemistry. The present invention includes novel acidic fluoride activated, unique organic-solvent based microelectronic selective etchant/cleaner compositions with high metal nitride etch and broad excellent compatibility, including tungsten (W) and low-k. It does not use W-incompatible oxidizers, such as hydrogen peroxide or particle-generating corrosion inhibitors.
