  • Patent number: 11410270
Abstract: One or more cameras capture objects at a higher resolution than the human eye can perceive. Objects are segmented from the background of the image and scaled to human perceptible size. The scaled-up objects are superimposed over the unscaled background. This is presented to a user via an augmented reality display whereby the process selectively amplifies the size of the objects' spatially registered retinal projection while maintaining a natural (unmodified) view in the remainder of the visual field.

Abstract: A host map system for updating a region of a host map based on sensor data received from a plurality of connected vehicles travelling in the region comprises monitoring a host map region for discrepancies, defining a geo-fence around an area of a discrepancy and setting a schedule for activing the geo-fence. When a connected vehicle enters the geo-fence, the host mapping system transmits the geo-fence to the connected vehicle and requests that it share its sensor data while travelling in the geo-fenced area. The host mapping system receives the sensor data and processes the data to update details of the host map. The host mapping system may transmit the updated map to connected vehicles travelling in the map region.

  • Patent number: 11411161
Abstract: A piezoelectric system comprises a piezoelectric sensor, a voltage stabilizer, a discharger and an operation sensor. The piezoelectric sensor outputs a sensing signal through a sensor output terminal according to a rate of change of pressure. The voltage stabilizer has a positive terminal electrically connecting with the sensor output terminal. The voltage stabilizer receives the sensing signal, stores the energy of the sensing signal, and keeps the voltage of the sensing signal as a constant when the rate of change of pressure is zero. The discharger has a first terminal connecting with the positive terminal, a second terminal coupled to ground, and a control terminal receiving a trigger signal to control the first terminal to conduct with or not conduct with the second terminal. The operation sensor electrically connects to the control terminal for sensing an operation generating the pressure and outputs the trigger signal accordingly.

  • Patent number: 11410931
Abstract: Crystallographic orientations of ruthenium films and related methods are disclosed. Single crystal ruthenium films are provided with crystallographic orientations that arrange a c-axis of the ruthenium crystal structure in a direction that corresponds with a plane of the film or along a direction that corresponds with a surface of a substrate on which the film is formed. While ruthenium films typically form with the c-axis perpendicular to the surface of the substrate or as a polycrystalline film with a random crystallographic orientation, substrate surfaces may be configured with a crystallographic surface net that promotes non-perpendicular c-axis orientations of ruthenium. The substrate may be formed with a metal-terminated surface in certain arrangements. In this regard, ruthenium films may be configured as metallic interconnects for devices where directions of lowest electrical resistivity within the crystal structure are arranged to correspond with the direction of current flow in the devices.

  • Patent number: 11409978
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products for storing data in, and reading data from, machine-readable optical labels are disclosed. A machine-readable optical label includes a data storage layer and a substrate having a reflective surface. The data storage layer defines a plurality of data storage patterns in each of a corresponding number of absorption bands. Each of the data storage patterns encodes a portion of the data stored in the label as a reflectivity of the label in the absorption band of the data storage pattern. The label is read by capturing images of the label in each of a plurality of color channels, with each color channel including one absorption band and excluding the other absorption bands. The data stored by each data storage pattern is then decoded from the image in the corresponding color channel.
