Abstract: Materials that seamlessly transition from opaque to transparent or translucent, such as advanced geopolymer-based ceramics to glass structures, which can be directly and seamlessly bonded without the use of an intermediate adhesive or use of a frame are disclosed. That is, a GP-based ceramic to glass structure can be bonded directly and seamlessly and without any mechanical joints, connective tissue or adhesives such as caulking or epoxy. Such ceramic to glass materials can be prepared by sintering an engineered geopolymer with glass to form the geopolymer-based advanced ceramic-glass structure in which the interface is visually abruptly or in which the material is a graded composition with a controlled transition from one material to the other.

Abstract: Methods for rapid isolation of radionuclides (e.g., 68Ga) produced using a cyclotron and methods for recycling of the parent isotope (e.g., 68Zn) are disclosed. In one version of the method, a solution including a radionuclide (e.g., 68Ga) is created from a target including cations (e.g., 68Zn). The solution including the radionuclide is passed through a first column including a sorbent comprising a hydroxamate resin to adsorb the radionuclide on the sorbent, and the radionuclide is eluted off the sorbent. The cations (e.g., 68Zn) are recovered from a recovery solution that has passed through the first column by passing the recovery solution through a second column including a second sorbent comprising a cation exchange resin.

Abstract: It has been found that esterification of a hydroxy-fatty acid by a lipase can be coupled with oleate hydratase (OHase) generation of that hydroxy-FA from an unsaturated FA with a cis C9-C10 double bond, e.g. oleic acid, in a single aqueous buffered reaction medium at low temperature, e.g. 30° C. A simple one-pot enzymatic method to produce fatty acid estolides from one or more triglycerides, e.g. starting from a natural plant oil, is thereby enabled in which the same lipase catalyses both the initial hydrolysis of triglyceride and the final esterification step.

Abstract: The disclosure is applicable for the technical field of semiconductor devices manufacturing, and provides a gallium oxide SBD terminal structure. The gallium oxide SBD terminal structure comprises a cathode metal layer, an N+ high-concentration substrate layer, an N? low-concentration Ga2O3 epitaxial layer and an anode metal layer from bottom to top, wherein the N? low-concentration Ga2O3 epitaxial layer is within a range of certain thickness close to the anode metal layer; and a doping concentration below the anode metal layer is greater than a doping concentration on two sides of the anode metal layer. Namely, only a doping concentration of the part outside the corresponding area of the anode metal layer is changed, so that the breakdown voltage of the gallium oxide SBD terminal structure is improved under the condition of guaranteeing low on resistance.

Abstract: A co-current contacting system for removing impurities from a gas stream is described herein. The co-current contacting system includes a co-current contactor configured to co-currently flow a gas stream including impurities and a liquid stream through the co-current contactor. The co-current contactor is also configured to incorporate liquid droplets formed from the liquid stream into the gas stream, such that the impurities from the gas stream are absorbed by the liquid droplets. The co-current contacting system also includes a separator configured to remove the gas stream from the liquid droplets including the impurities, generating a purified gas stream and a rich liquid stream. The co-current contacting system is configured to recycle the rich liquid stream for reuse as a portion of the liquid stream flowing into the co-current contactor.
Abstract: The present invention provides a method of synchronous deletion for distributed storage system. According to the present invention, after a first host accesses one or more first datum, a first data list and a second data list will be created in a blockchain network corresponding to the modification of the data in the first host. Then the first data list and the second data list are used to update a second host. Accordingly, by taking advantages of the indestructibility of the blockchain technology, the existence of the first data list and the second data list will be maintained. Then the second data accessed by the second host will still be consistent even the first host has modified them. In addition, a hardware safety module can be further adopted to ensure the correctness of the execution file in the second host.
