Abstract: Function approximation circuitry approximates an arbitrary function F over discrete inputs. Discrete values of the function F are stored in a lookup table (LUT) component for various inputs. An addressing module generates an address from an input. An interpolation factor module generates an interpolation factor from the input. An interpolation module generates an output, which is an approximate value of the function F for the input, from the interpolation factor, and from outputs of the LUT component when the LUT component is addressed by the address.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a circuit sharing time delay integrator structure. The major composing elements of this circuit sharing time delay integrator structure are: a sharing circuit, a first control block, a plurality of second control blocks and a timing set generated by a timing generator circuit. The sharing circuit can be an OP-AMP, an active load, or any of a variety of combinations used in signal accumulation applications. With the implementation of the present invention to applications of signal accumulations, the necessity of an adder circuitry is eliminated, the overall circuitry and hence the total amount of transistors required when producing the integrated circuit is massively reduced, and thus a great cost reduction and better timing and power efficiency can all be thereof achieved.

Abstract: A method to scale a vector-based graphic design by a non-integer scaling factor. The relationships of control points of the vector-based graphic design, with respect to each other and with respect to the coordinate system of the workspace, are determined prior to rescaling the vector-based graphic design. Subsequent a multiplication of the coordinate values of the control points by the non-integer scaling factor to scale the original vector-based graphic design, the relationships of the control points, in the scaled vector-based graphic design, are determined and compared to the relationships of the control points in the original vector-based graphic design. Adjustments of the position of the control points in the scaled vector-based graphic design are effected to obtain, within a pre-determined tolerance, the same relationships.

Abstract: A method of preparing magnetic bead type nasopharyngeal enzyme immunoassay reagents by polymerase chain reaction according to this invention offers in-vitro diagnostic reagents by means of utilizing nanotechnology. This method uses magnetic beads to coat EBV nuclear antigen (Epstein-Barr virus nuclear antigen, EBNA1) or early antigen (Early Antigen, EA). The use of polymerase chain reaction (polymerase Chain Reaction PCR) is for amplified detection. It is found that positive controls of different concentrations, after amplified by PCR, change in their brightness and concentration. That reveals the EBV antigens on the magnetic beads can specifically detect IgA antigens in the serum.
