    Abstract: A method for enriching niobium and titanium in a mineral containing iron, niobium, and titanium, includes: reacting raw materials comprising 1 part by weight of a mineral containing iron, niobium, and titanium, 0.1-0.8 part by weight of a nickel-containing substance and 0.2-1 part by weight of carbon at 800-1500° C. to obtain a nickel-iron alloy and a niobium-titanium rich slag, where an amount of the mineral containing iron, niobium, and titanium is counted in terms of iron element, and an amount of the nickel-containing substance is counted in terms of nickel element. The nickel-containing substance is one or more selected from the group consisting of oxides of nickel and nickel minerals.

    Abstract: A wire rod for a 5000 MPa-grade diamond wire and a production method are provided. The wire rod includes the following chemical components: 1.01% to 1.1% of carbon, 0.15% to 0.4% of silicon, 0.3% to 0.6% of manganese, 0.01% to 0.4% of chromium, 0.0005% to 0.002% of boron and/or 0.01% to 0.09% of vanadium; and the balance of iron and impurities. The production method includes vacuum melting, electroslag remelting and/or vacuum consumable melting, grinding after cogging/forging, high-speed wire rolling and cooling, and cogging at 1030° C. to 1060° C. The wire rod, with structural uniformity and tensile strength of more than or equal to 1320 MPa, can be configured to prepare 5000 MPa-grade steel wires with a diameter of 40 ?m to 46 ?m.

    Abstract: A quantum computing system, method and computer readable storage medium involve tuning a whispering-gallery mode optical resonator to support a resonance frequency associated with a transition frequency of an atom. Operation of a laser is controlled to cause the atom to be trapped adjacent the optical resonator and within the evanescent field portion. Based on an atom presence signal from an optical atom presence detector, an indication is provided that the atom is trapped adjacent the optical resonator. A frequency of a cooling laser is controlled to cool the atom, and the optical resonator is configured to define a closed loop-like mode including an evanescent field portion. The trapping laser is configured to cause the atom to be trapped adjacent the whispering-gallery mode resonator, and the cooling laser is configured to manipulate a state of the atom to thereby cool the atom.
