  • Patent number: 11937580
Abstract: Aspects of this disclosure are directed to methods and apparatuses involving the characterization of livestock feeding functions. As may be implemented as or with one or more embodiments herein, networked cameras are configured to capture images of a livestock feed area and machine-vision logic circuitry characterizes, based on the captured images, an amount of available feed and the presence of livestock in the livestock feed area depicted in the captured image over time. Feed-control logic circuitry may assign time-based condition values each respective feed area characterized by the cameras based on the characterized amount of available feed and the characterized presence of livestock provided via the machine-vision logic circuitry. An instruction characterizing the presentation of feed in the feed area may be output based on the assigned time-based condition values and a current time. Such an output may be used to control the presentation amount, timing and/or other feeding characteristics.

  • Patent number: 11943447
Abstract: Disclosed herein are a decoding method and apparatus and an encoding method and apparatus that perform inter-prediction using a motion vector predictor. For a candidate block in a col picture, a scaled motion vector is generated based on a motion vector of the candidate block. When the scaled motion vector indicates a target block, a motion vector predictor of the target block is generated based on the motion vector of the candidate block. The motion vector predictor is used to derive the motion vector of the target block in a specific inter-prediction mode such as a merge mode and an AMVP mode.

  • Patent number: 11939545
Abstract: A gasifier system includes a reactor for receiving a wet feedstock which has a base and a container rotatably connected to the base such that a rotation of the container causes a mixing of the feedstock in an interior of the reactor. The interior is bounded by the base and the container. A space between the base and the container allows an entry of oxygen into the interior. The space has a dimension such that the feedstock is fully oxidized in a combustion area adjacent the base and such that the feedstock avoids combustion in a remainder of the interior. The reactor has a longitudinal axis inclined at an inclination angle relative to a horizontal line to promote the mixing of the feedstock in the interior.

  • Patent number: 11940658
Abstract: An optical fiber module is provided and includes an optical fiber structure, a light-absorbing area and a photoelectric sensor in a housing. The optical fiber structure collectively arranges a plurality of first optical fibers to form at least one optical fiber bundle with a tapered end, and a second optical fiber is connected to the tapered end of the optical fiber bundle to converge the optical fiber bundle to the second optical fiber. The light-absorbing area corresponds to an end of the second optical fiber, such that the light-absorbing area absorbs scattering signals escaped and scattered when signals are transmitted from the plurality of first optical fibers to the second optical fiber. The photoelectric sensor is arranged corresponding to the plurality of first optical fibers to receive target signals escaped and refracted when the signals are transmitted from the second optical fiber to the plurality of first optical fibers.

  • Patent number: 11938324
Abstract: A system and method for determining parameters of stimulation electrical signals for vagus nerve stimulation is discussed. Initial parameters of the signals are selected to provide reliable response to stimulation in physiological measurements of a subject. One or more physiological and neurological indices are determined based on a vagus nerve response model. For a selected vagus nerve activation, the electrical parameters of the signals are varied while monitoring changes in physiological parameters and values of the indices. The electrical parameters are varied until desired response in the physiological measurements and the values of the indices is observed. The electrical parameters are then stored as preferred parameters and can be used to activate the selected vagus nerve of the subject.
