    Abstract: A steering system for a steerable flexible elongate member such as for delivering a medical device and/or system. The steering system may be configured for two-way or four-way steering. A control knob is rotatable to control steering of the steerable flexible elongate member in a first direction or a second direction within a steering plane. In a four-way steering system, a first control knob steers the steerable flexible elongate member in a first steering plane, and a second control knob steers the steerable flexible elongate member in a second steering plane transverse to the first steering plane. The steering system may be supported on a stand configured to allow rotational support of the steering system. The stand may support two steering systems in a manner allowing relative axial translation therebetween.

    Abstract: Disclosed are a PAM restriction-free adenine base editor fused protein and use. A mutant polypeptide is provided, which comprises an N-terminal fragment of SpRY(D10A), a TadA8e fragment, and a C-terminal fragment of SpRY(D10A) polypeptide in sequence from the N terminus to the C terminus. A fused protein including the mutant polypeptide can target the whole genome, thereby broadening the editable range of the genome. It can induce a base transition of A:T to G:C more efficiently, and has great use potential, including but not limited to, simulation or correction of pathogenic sites in genetic disorders. It lowers off-target at the transcriptome level, and is a mutant form with high efficiency and low off-target.

    Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to a composition matter and a method for cancer treatment. In particular, a composition of soft, non-cationic nanocapsules, termed Nanosac, for systemic delivery of siRNA. Nanosac is produced by sequential attachment of siRNA and polydopamine on a sacrificial MSN core, followed by removal of the MSN. Encapsulating siRNA in the capsules, Nanosac avoids the issues common to cationic gene carriers, such as toxicity and non-specific protein binding while protecting siRNA from RNase. Nanosac entered tumor cells by caveolae-mediated endocytosis, likely via albumin recruited from serum, trafficked to the cytosol, and silenced target genes.

The system includes one single-antenna base station, one single-antenna user terminal, and an RIS including N reflection elements, the single-antenna user terminal sends data to the single-antenna base station, however, when a direct link of a user-base station is blocked by a blockage, the data can be sent to the single-antenna base station only via the RIS; the RIS determines a proper reflection solution by using a controller, and dynamically adjusts a phase shift thereof to improve an achievable data rate of the system; and necessary information for phase shift adjustment can be obtained at the base station by uplink training, and transmitted to the RIS controller by using a control link.
