Abstract: A cross laser calibration device used to calibrate a tool center point is provided. The calibration device includes a coordinate orifice plate, a set of cross laser sensors and a rotational and translational movement mechanism. The coordinate orifice plate has an orifice center point. The set of cross laser sensors is arranged on the coordinate orifice plate to generate cross laser lines intersecting at the orifice center point. The set of cross laser sensors is driven by the second motor to rotate around the center point of the second motor, wherein the orifice center point has an off-axis setting relative to the center point of the second motor.

Abstract: A diagnostic system includes an array of electrodes, which are coupled to a body surface of a living subject at different, respective positions in proximity to a region of interest within the body. A switched impedance network applies varying loads to the electrodes. A processor is coupled to receive and measure electrical signals from the electrodes as a function of the varying loads, and to analyze the measured signals so as to compute a local electrical characteristic of one or more locations within the region of interest.

Abstract: A process for the manufacturing of 3D reduced graphene oxide/Fe2O3 material includes the following steps: (i) putting in contact a graphene oxide (GO) water dispersion with an aqueous solution of iron(II) sulfate; (ii) hydrothermal treatment; and (iii) freezing the reaction product obtained in step (ii) at a temperature ??5° C.; and (iv) lyophilisation. A 3D reduced graphene oxide/Fe2O3 material is obtainable by the process and further relates to electrodes for CDI devices having the material. A method for removing ions from a fluid, like saline water, using the capacitive deionization device includes applying a voltage to the electrodes while supplying the fluid into the capacitive deionization device.

Abstract: Related are a high-molecular weight allyl alcohol polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene ether and a preparation method. During preparation, an allyl alcohol raw material and a supported catalyst Rb-NHPA are firstly added into a high-pressure reaction kettle, and it is heated after being replaced with a nitrogen gas; then after the internal temperature of the reaction kettle is raised to a reaction temperature, an ethylene oxide (EO) and propylene oxide (PO) mixture is continuously fed for a reaction; and finally, after the internal temperature of the reaction kettle is reduced, an acetic acid is dropwise added into the reaction kettle so that the crude product of the high-molecular weight allyl alcohol polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene ether is neutralized to be neutral. The refining process of a polyether is omitted, the process flow is greatly simplified, and the process time is effectively saved. In addition, the supported catalyst Rb-NHP may be recycled.

Abstract: A timepiece includes a mechanical oscillator and an electromechanical transducer formed by an electromagnetic assembly including a coil and a magnet mounted on the balance of the mechanical oscillator. The induced voltage signal, produced by the electromagnetic transducer during each oscillation, exhibits, in a first half-alternation between the oscillator passes via the neutral position thereof, a first lobe of maximum amplitude having a first polarity and, in a second half-alternation following a passage via the neutral position, a second lobe of maximum amplitude having a second polarity opposite the first. An electric converter includes two power supply capacitors and a device for regulating the medium frequency of the mechanical oscillator. The first power supply capacitor is charged merely with a positive voltage whereas the second capacitor is charged merely with a negative voltage.

Abstract: An electrode lead comprises an elongated lead body, at least one lead connector terminal affixed to the proximal end of the lead body, and an electrically insulative cuff body affixed to the distal end of the lead body. The cuff body is configured for being circumferentially disposed around a nerve. The cuff body comprises cutouts, slits, a wrinkled portion, a thin stretchable portion, and/or a serpentine strap, which increases that increase the expandability of the cuff body when disposed around the nerve. The electrode lead further comprises at least one electrode contact affixed to the cuff body, and at least one electrical conductor extending through the lead body between the at least one lead connector terminal and the electrode contact(s). If the cuff body comprises cutouts or slits, the electrode lead can further comprise a thin stretchable film affixed to the cuff body over cutouts or slits.

Abstract: A distracted driver can be informed of his or her distraction by a visual notification. It can be detected whether a driver of a vehicle is focused on a non-critical object located within the vehicle.
