Abstract: One or more cameras capture objects at a higher resolution than the human eye can perceive. Objects are segmented from the background of the image and scaled to human perceptible size. The scaled-up objects are superimposed over the unscaled background. This is presented to a user via a display whereby the process selectively amplifies the size of the objects' spatially registered retinal projection while maintaining a natural (unmodified) view in the remainder of the visual field.

Abstract: Fluid control valve assemblies for use in fire protection sprinkler systems to control the flow of firefighting fluid to the system sprinklers. The assemblies include a pressure-operated fluid control valve having an internal fluid chamber in which fluid contained therein acts on an internal diaphragm to control the flow of fluid from an inlet to an outlet of the valve. An environment-responsive control device in fluid communication with the internal fluid chamber along a first fluid communication line controls the flow of fluid out of the fluid chamber to initiate actuation of the valve. Abstract: Described are systems and methods for self-learned label refinement of a training set. In on example, a system includes a processor and a memory having a training set generation module that causes the processor to train a model using an image as an input to the model and 2D bounding based on 3D bounding boxes as ground truths, select a first subset from predicted 2D bounding boxes previously outputted by the model, retrain the model using the image as the input and the first subset as ground truths, select a second set of predicted 2D bounding boxes previously outputted by the model, and generate the training set by selecting the 3D bounding boxes from a master set of 3D bounding boxes that have corresponding 2D bounding boxes that form the second subset.

Abstract: Methods and systems for isolating a high purity starch stream are provided. The methods provide an initial treatment step in advance of traditional grinding or fractionation operations (such as dry milling or wet milling operations) that facilitate separation of starch from other components of starch-based grains, for example facilitate separation of soft endosperm from other components of corn kernels including hard endosperm. Abstract: Drug delivery devices that have a flexible film, an array of nanoscopic, porous needles attached to a surface of the flexible film, and a therapeutic drug cargo loaded onto the needles. The drug delivery device may be applied to living tissue such that the surface of the flexible film contacts the living tissue and some or all of the needles are inserted into the tissue. The flexible film may then be dissolved while leaving the needles inserted in the tissue. The needles degrade in the living tissue over time causing release of the therapeutic drug cargo loaded onto the needles.
