  • Patent number: 6532396
Abstract: A process and apparatus are provided for controlling components of individual work stations of a textile machine wherein the textile machine includes a plurality of adjacent such work stations. The work station components are run at a first speed during normal operation. A time period is established at the start of a voltage loss to the components. At the conclusion of this time period, the components are shut down. The components assume a second set speed as they run down during the time period beginning at the start of the voltage loss. Upon the voltage loss, an auxiliary current source is activated and the speed of the components which are supplied with auxiliary voltage from the current source is reduced in a controlled manner with the aid of a control program.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the control of the travel movement of at least one service unit (41a-14d) at a rotor-spinning machine (10), whereby the (at least one) service unit services and/or controls an operating zone (A, B, A′, B′) assigned to it containing a plurality of processing stations of the textile machine. According to the invention the service unit (14a, 14b) is moved in the direction of its assigned operating zone (A′, B′) when the detected position is located outside the assigned operating zone. In addition, the size of the operating zones (A, B) is determined in function of the workload of the service units (14a, 14b) and/or of the work efficiency of the service units.

  • Patent number: 6337525
Abstract: The present invention relates to a bearing for an open-end spinning rotor. The latter is driven at its rotor shaft by means of a tangential belt in a predetermined direction and is supported in a nip which is formed by at least two bearing disks capable of being driven by the rotor shaft. A bearing disk (at least one) leads in relation to the drive direction of the tangential belt rotating into the nip, and another bearing disk (at least one) trails in relation to the drive direction of the tangential belt rotating out of the nip. The axis of the bearing disk (at least one) rotating into the nip is at a specified distance from the plane which goes through the rotor shafts of the spinning rotors of several adjoining open-end spinning devices. This distance is being smaller than the distance between the axis of the bearing disk (at least one) rotating out of the nip and the rotor shaft plane.

  • Patent number: 6314712
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for the control of the piecing process in a spinning device, in particular an open-end spinning device with rotors, as well as to a device to carry out the process. It is the object of the present invention to make it possible to trigger the piecing process without having to change the structure of the rotor or of the bearing disks of a spinning device. This problem is solved in that the piecing process is carried out and/or controlled in function of physical magnitudes or states and/or their changes in a spinning device. According to the invention, the device is provided with a measuring device to detect physical magnitudes connected with the control of the piecing process.

  • Patent number: 6282755
Abstract: In a process for feeding of textile fibers supplied from a point of delivery of a textile machine to a drafting equipment which continues to process the fibers, the fibers supplied from the point of delivery are formed into a fiber sliver. They are then conveyed in the form of the fiber sliver to a drafting equipment which continues to process the fiber sliver, whereby the fibers are conveyed at least in the area before the drafting equipment by a feed mechanism and are introduced by same into the drafting equipment. In a textile machine to carry out the process, the feed mechanism is provided with a conveying channel which is located between the point of delivery and the input area of the drafting equipment and which conveys the fiber sliver. The conveying channel reaches up to the input area of the drafting equipment. The feed mechanism is provided with a drive arrangement for the conveying of the fiber sliver in the conveying channel.

  • Patent number: 6273314
Abstract: A process and an apparatus for storing of a textile material between operating components of spinning mill machines, wherein a first driving device drives an operating component which delivers the material into a storage facility and a second driving device drives another operating component which removes the material from the storage facility. One of the operating components is a high-dynamically reacting component, and the other operating component is a low-dynamically reacting component. The purpose of the invention is to minimize the size of the storage facility and to simultaneously reduce the amount of stored material. This is accomplished in that the quantity of delivered and removed material at any given time is continually measured and a running difference between the two quantities is determined. Dependent upon either a positive or a negative difference from standard, the RPM of the motor (M1) of the driving device for the low-dynamically reacting component (AO1) is controllably adjusted.

  • Patent number: 6272833
Abstract: On a textile machine, arL empty spool (12) is conveyed along a multiplicity of spool stations (1) situated next to one another. In a predetermined position relative to a grasping apparatus (3) the said empty spool (12) is stopped and is picked up by said grasping apparatus (3), and held by its circumferential surface. After its being lifted by the grasping apparatus (3), the spool (12) is retained in an axial alignment. This retention is discontinued, before the spool (12) is released at the spool station (1) where it is required. For the execution of this procedure, a retaining arrangement (8), composed of stopping devices (4 and 5), is provided for the spool (12) which is held by the grasping apparatus (3). The retaining arrangement (8) idles in a location outside of the transport path which the empty spool (12) will occupy when held.

  • Patent number: 6266573
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process and to a device for the control of draft in a drafting system for textile fiber material, whereby a measuring element (MS) which measures the moving fiber material (FM) before its entry into the drafting system (S) transmits measured values (M1 . . . Mn) to a draft regulating system (VR) and whereby the fiber material (FM) is drafted by means of the operating elements of the drafting system after passage of a delay time which is a function of the deviation of the measured values (M1 . . . Mn) from a target value (SW). It is the object of the invention to substantially eliminate fluctuations of the thickness of the fiber material through compensation in a drafting system with draft regulation. This object is attained in that the measured values (M1 . . . Mn) are transmitted to a correction device (SE) and in that an evolution of the draft (K2) and/or a regulating error value (K3) are derived in the correction device (SE) from the measured values (M1 . . .
