Patent number: 4836166Abstract: An arrangement is disclosed for controlling the metering of fuel to an internal combustion engine. The control can be open-loop and/or closed-loop and the amount of fuel metered to the engine is limited by means of a full-load limiter dependent on at least the rotational speed of the engine. The arrangement further includes a substitute full-load limiter for limiting the amount of fuel metered to the engine. It is particularly advantageous for the substitute full-load limiter to operate in dependence on the engine temperature and/or the fuel temperature, with a linear function of these parameters representing a further embodiment of the invention. Block diagrams of the arrangement of the invention and characteristic fields explain its mode of operation.Type: GrantFiled: January 20, 1987Date of Patent: June 6, 1989Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbHInventor: Jurgen Wietelmann

Patent number: 4837624Abstract: Digital video signals are subjected to band limiting by a high pass filter with a pass band terminating somewhat above half of the digital sampling frequency. The filtered signal is in effect subtracted from the original signal in an addition circuit with suitably phased inputs in order to make available a substitute signal of the interpolation low pass filtered kind. A circuit for determining the presence of an erroneous digital word accepts the high pass filtered signal, differentiates it twice and then digitally rectifies it in order to detect a possible maximum at half the sampling rate. When such a maximum is found, a changeover switch is caused to substitute the interpolation-low-pass-filtered signal for the orginal signal. Only a single digital filter is necessary for this operation.Type: GrantFiled: April 30, 1987Date of Patent: June 6, 1989Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbHInventors: Jurgen Heitmann, Peter Wagner

Patent number: 4833524Abstract: The magnitude of a chroma-key selected color signal is evaluated for successive pixels in comparison with the previous line as well as in comparison with a previous pixel, for processing a cutover switching signal. A provisional switching signal is produced if either comparison result exceeds a prescribed threshold value. Since it is desired to fade in the foreground signal, it becomes important, if the trailing edge of the provisional signal occurs relatively early, that an adaptive nonrecursive digital filter operating as a color carrier phase shifter should be used to assure prompt transfer of control of the fading in (or fading out) steps to a color carrier phase correction signal present at the input of an intermediate store which operates as a sample and hold circuit. The filter receives successive color control signals for a period controlled by an exclusive OR-gate comparing the delayed and an undelayed provisional switching signal.Type: GrantFiled: March 19, 1987Date of Patent: May 23, 1989Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbHInventor: Gerhard Wischermann
