    Abstract: A device including a hollow cylindrical body, first and second stationary coaxial annular screening screens disposed within the body, and a rotor within the body and positioned between the screens to conduct the slurry through the first screen and then through the second screen, the rotor being driven in rotation. The pulp slurry passes through a central entry pipe, radially outward and then upward along the inside of the rotor, further inward through a coarse screen cylinder, and then around the end of the rotor to pass between the outer surface of the rotor and the inner surface of a fine screen cylinder. The pulp slurry then finally passes outward through the fine screen cylinder. Coarse rejects, such as knots or other coarse material, are collected at the end of the coarse screening chamber and led away for further processing. Fine rejects are similarly collected at the end of the fine screening chamber, also to be led away separately for further processing.

    Abstract: A solution is to be created, with a method and a device for generating hydrogen, in which silicon and/or an alloy that contains silicon is reacted in a reaction vessel (1), with an alkaline solution as a catalyst, so that the process, after starting, runs continuously and catalytically in the presence of silicon dioxide as a nucleating agent, without further addition of lye and without using higher pressures and temperatures (hydrothermal conditions). This is achieved in that the alkaline solution is used in a strongly sub-stoichiometric amount with reference to the entire reaction, whereby the silicon dioxide that is formed is precipitated onto crystallization nuclei.

    Abstract: A reference time distribution system and method use a data transmission network having a plurality of nodes to distribute the House Sync signal. A network-wide time signal is generated using a reference time generator, and the network-wide time signal is then distributed over the network to the plurality of nodes. At each node, the network-wide time signal is converted to a local synchronization signal for use in performing synchronization of the timing of each node. Either network-inherent timing and/or additional time signaling is used to provide the nodes attached to this network with a network-wide notion of time. The time information is converted locally into synchronization signals or time information as required by a respective application. When data is transported over the network, delay compensation is performed to simultaneously output different data streams that have been synchronously input into the network, regardless of the data path.
