Abstract: A multi-layer composite sheet comprising a shrinkable layer intermittently bonded a to a gatherable layer with the bonds separated by a specified distance and wherein the shrinkable layer can shrink and at the same time gather the gatherable layer between the bonds. A process for preparing multi-layer composite sheets by intermittently bonding a shrinkable layer to a gatherable layer with the bonds separated by a specified distance and causing the shrinkable layer to shrink while at the same time gathering the gatherable layer between the bonds. Preferably, the shrinkable layer comprises an array of fibers or nonwoven web comprising fibers having latent spiral crimp.

Abstract: A system, method and apparatus are presented for the adaptive optimization of call quality and marginal profit in a telephony over data network, where the network contains a plurality of destinations, where calls are routable to each destination via a plurality of gateways in route to such destination, and where said gateways may serve more than one destination. The method comprises continually monitoring call traffic to each destination to first analyze whether the destination is currently volatile. If it is not, no action is taken. If it is, the method then reallocates the destination's traffic among some or all of the gateways in route to it.
Abstract: A method for providing a custom shoe to a consumer, including identifying at least one characteristic about a consumer that is present within the retail store, the at least one characteristic relating to the consumer's foot. Also included is selecting a plurality of pre-fabricated footwear components based on the at least one characteristic, assembling the plurality of prefabricated footwear components into a custom shoe that is customized to the consumer, and presenting the custom shoe to the consumer before the customer leaves the retail store.
