Abstract: A method for pairing a terminal with an access point in a wireless communication network is described. The network comprises a plurality of access points that are centrally coordinated by a manager device. The method comprises the following steps executed by at least one access point: receiving a first message comprising information indicating that said terminal wishes to pair with said access point; sending a second message to said manager device, said second message comprising information indicating that said terminal wishes to pair with said access point; adding, in at least one beacon frame of said access point, information indicating that a pairing session is active, only on receipt of a message from said manager device notifying said access point to engage a pairing session with said terminal; and pairing said access point and said terminal.

Abstract: A method for indicating a use of an illicit IP address in a local communication network connected to a wide area communication network by a router, the method including: receiving a packet from at least one device in the local communication network using an illicit IP address; generating an error message marked with a predefined mark; sending the marked error message to the at least one device using an additional routing table redirecting each packet to the local communication network and a routing rule applying the additional routing table to each packet marked with the predefined mark.

Abstract: A method and a device for controlling the state of a device including means for transferring an audiovisual source and means for reproducing an audio signal, the device being connected to a television set by means of an HDMI connection in accordance with an HDMI specification version 2.0 or higher. The device is in an operating mode as an audiovisual source or for reproducing an audio signal coming from the HDMI connection. Abstract: To pair a plurality of stations with a wireless access point, the wireless access point establishes a multiple pairing. The wireless access point includes, in broadcast beacon frames, a notification of triggering of multiple pairing, during a declaration period of predefined maximum duration. The wireless access point receives, during the declaration period, requests for participation in the multiple pairing coming from said stations. When the declaration period expires, the wireless access point implements individual pairings in turn with each of the stations in question.

Abstract: A method and a device for detecting incidents in a local area network by way of an incident detection device, the incident detection device being connected to the local area network via a wide area network, a data collection agent collecting data describing the local area network. The device is able to detect various types of anomaly and receives messages from the collection agent, validates and aggregates data contained in each received message into groups of data, calculates a severity score for each group of data, for each type of anomaly and calculates a total severity score for each group of data, calculates a total criticality score from all of the total severity scores, and generates recommendation messages or corrective actions at least on the basis of the total criticality score.

Abstract: A wireless communication system has an access point managing a first wireless local area network. To transmit the frame, the access point: obtains data to be transmitted in multicast mode; obtains data to be transmitted in unicast mode; and constructs a physical-layer header including: in a common signalling field, an identification of each channel resource intended to be used for making the frame transmission, whether this be for the data to be transmitted in unicast mode or in multicast mode; and, in each field in a series of specific signalling fields, information representing an association between a channel resource identifier used and a unique identifier of the destination concerned or group of destinations concerned. Thus each destination can determine each channel resource to listen to in order to receive the data that are addressed to it, whether this be in unicast mode or in multicast mode.

Abstract: A method for protecting an electronic system against a voltage surge, which electronic system is connected to a telecommunication network and includes a control integrated circuit, the method including successively connecting the electronic system to a remote server containing meteorological data; recovering meteorological data originating from the remote server; analyzing by the control circuit the recovered meteorological data to assign thereto a danger level of the current or imminent meteorological event; and, when the assigned danger level exceeds a main warning threshold: sending by the control circuit a warning signal to a display terminal connected to the electronic system; displaying a first warning message on the display terminal from information contained in the warning signal, the first warning message warning a user of the display terminal of a risk of voltage surge due to the current or imminent meteorological event; and electrical isolating a port of the electronic system.

Abstract: A method for switching the connection of a mobile station from a first point of wireless access to a communication network to which the mobile station is connected, to a second point of wireless access to said network, the method being implemented in a so-called “connection-management” device of said communication network, the method includes a modification of a value of a modulation or transmission-power parameter of the first wireless access point, the modified value of said parameter being of such a nature as to degrade the transmission performance between the first wireless access point and the mobile station compared with a transmission based on the value of said parameter before modification, and then a transmission to the mobile station of a message including a proposal to connect to the second wireless access point. Abstract: A system for extending wireless communication coverage includes a subnetwork comprising a set of interconnected nodes implementing a functionality of access point of one and the same wireless communication network. The system monitors messages exchanged during an address-resolution phase, and obtains therefrom an association between network address and MAC address of each device connected to the LAN and node of the subnetwork, and interface information representing an interface via which the message that made it possible to obtain said association was received. In order to identify a node closest to the target device, the system parses the address resolution tables while seeking the above-identified association corresponding to the target device and obtaining therefrom the associated interface information; and identifies the node closest to the target device as the node the address resolution table of which does not reference any node in the subnetwork in association with said interface information.

Abstract: A method for determining eligibility for a handover of a client node of a distributed communication network that includes a plurality of gathering nodes. The client node is associated with one level among a plurality of levels. The method includes determining a connection quality indicator and determining a connection quality threshold dependent on the level. If the connection quality indicator compared with the threshold indicates a poor relative quality of the connection then incrementing the level or executing a handover method, otherwise if, and as long as, the connection quality indicator compared with a threshold determined according to the level immediately below the level associated with the client node indicates a better connection quality, then decrementing the level.

Abstract: A wireless communication coverage extension system comprises a backhaul subnetwork that includes a set of interconnected nodes. A plurality of nodes of the backhaul subnetwork implementing a functionality of access point of a same wireless communication network. To avoid conflicts of IP addresses, a monitoring of the presence of the main DHCP server is implemented, by a said node, to which the main DHCP server is connected. In the case where the first monitoring shows a disconnection of the main DHCP server, a backup DHCP server is activated in a node of the backhaul subnetwork. Then a general disconnection of the nodes of the backhaul subnetwork and of any device connected to the wireless communication coverage extension system is implemented. The IP address leases are then renewed by the backup DHCP server, following the general disconnection.

Abstract: A method for automatically configuring a new electronic device for connecting to a wireless access point of a communication network; initially the audio channel for communication between the new electronic device and one or more electronic devices already connected to the network is established; secondly, the configuration parameters for connecting to the wireless access point are transmitted by this audio channel to the new electronic device, the latter then being able to configure itself correctly in order to connect to the wireless access point of the network.

Abstract: A method and a device for anticipating a reconnection, to a second access point, of a mobile station connected to a first access point that forms a wireless telecommunication network. The physical bit rate between the first access point and mobile station with respect to a reception power of a signal sent by a mobile station and received by the first access point from measurements of reception power of signals sent by the mobile station and received by the first access point, calculates physical bit rates between access points and mobile station. A rate of variation of the physical bit rates between access points and mobile stations from measurements obtained and from the modelling, an anticipation of physical bit rate between access points and the mobile stations and determines whether a reconnection of the station to the second access point must be made among other things from the calculated anticipations.
