  • Patent number: 12026694
Abstract: Authentication methods and systems using RFID-enabled payment cards are disclosed herein where a server receives a request corresponding to authorization of a payment associated with a payment card from an electronic terminal. The server identifies an electronic device of a user associated with the payment card. The server then transmits an instruction to the electronic device to cause an RFID reader of the electronic device to determine whether an RFID tag corresponding to the payment card is located within a predetermined proximity to the electronic device. When the payment card is located within the predetermined proximity, the server executes a first authentication protocol. Moreover, when the payment card is not located within the predetermined proximity, the server executes a second authentication protocol, wherein the second authentication protocol is more restrictive than the first authentication protocol.

  • Patent number: 12028433
Abstract: A global architecture (GLP), as disclosed herein, is based on the thin server architectural pattern; it delivers all its services in the form of web services and there are no user interface components executed on the GLP. Each web service exposed by the GLP is stateless, which allows the GLP to be highly scalable. The GLP is further decomposed into components. Each component is a microservice, making the overall architecture fully decoupled. Each microservice has fail-over nodes and can scale up on demand. This means the GLP has no single point of failure, making the platform both highly scalable and available. The GLP architecture provides the capability to build and deploy a microservice instance for each course-recipient-user combination. Because each student interacts with their own microservice, this makes the GLP scale up to the limit of cloud resources available—i.e. near infinity.

  • Patent number: 12027159
Abstract: Embodiments disclosed are directed to a computing system that performs steps to automatically generate fine-grained call reasons from customer service call transcripts. The computing system extracts, using a natural language processing (NLP) technique, a set of events from a set of text strings of speaker turns. The computing system then identifies a set of clusters of events based on the set of events and labels each cluster of events in the set of clusters of events to generate a set of labeled clusters of events. Subsequently, the computing system assigns each event in the set of events to a respective labeled cluster of events in the set of labeled clusters of events.

  • Patent number: 12028370
Abstract: Described herein are a system and techniques for detecting whether biometric data provided in an access request is genuine or a replay. In some embodiments, the system uses an machine learning model trained using genuine and replay sample data which is optimized in order to produce a result set in which results for the genuine samples are pulled closer to a genuine center and results for the replay samples are pushed away from the genuine center. Subjecting input biometric data (e.g., an audio sample) to the trained model results in a classification of the input biometric data as genuine or replay, which can then be used to determine whether or not to verify the input biometric data.

  • Patent number: 12026659
Abstract: A management system for managing the utilization of item receptacles in a distribution network. Items can be transferred to recipients at a limited number of item receptacles in unit delivery facilities of the distribution network. Item retrieval behavior is tracked to determine a recipient score for known recipients. Based on the recipient scores, subsequent items to be transferred can be placed in a receptacle or a storage area based on the associated recipient score. Placement in receptacles can be prioritized to recipients with low scores indicating that the item will likely be retrieved quickly, while items addressed to recipients with high scores may not be placed into a receptacle if receptacles are scarce.

  • Patent number: 12026047
Abstract: The disclosure is a method and a system for root cause identification (RCI) of faults in manufacturing and process industries. With complex interrelated multivariate data in manufacturing and process industries, the process of root RCI of faults is challenging. Further, the existing techniques for RCI have significant dependency on manual inputs and subject matter knowledge/experts. The disclosure is method and a system for root cause identification of a fault based on causal maps. The root cause of fault is identified in several steps including: generation of casual maps using data received from a manufacturing and process industry and root cause identification from the causal maps based on a Fault Traversal and Root Cause Identification (FTRCI) technique. The FTRCI identifies root cause from the causal map by identifying a fault traversal pathway from a leaf node in the causal map, wherein the fault traversal pathway is identified for even cyclic paths.

  • Publication number: 20240209302
Abstract: Ex vivo analysis can be performed by mounting a portion of live tissue resected from a patient on a sample platform. Using the sample platform, the resected tissue portion can be positioned within a perfusion chamber. Perfusate is flowed through the perfusion chamber and into contact with the resected tissue portion such that diffusion of oxygen occurs between the perfusate and the resected tissue portion. During the flowing, the resected tissue portion maintains a competent immune system. Drugs can be added to the perfusate flow to ascertain the effect on the tissue. The sample platform is designed to be removable from the perfusion chamber for analysis of the tissue by imaging or other investigation techniques, for experimental treatment, or for any other purpose. After removal, the sample platform can be returned to the perfusion chamber for continued viability of the tissue.
