Patent number: 12038740Abstract: This disclosure relates to a method and system for regime-based process optimization of various assets of industrial manufacturing and process plants or units. Operating regimes of assets are identified and a regime similarity score of each asset is computed from regime sequences of integrated industrial data and compared with a given threshold to identify regimes of operation. Operating regimes are matched with regimes of regime database and industrial assets and similar operating regimes are group together. Process optimization is carried out for each group of industrial assets to identify optimum settings in order to maximize output or minimize loss/cost considering process and equipment constraints. Anomalies are analyzed in the unmatched operating regimes and a diagnosis is carried out to identify the root cause for any detected anomalies. Remaining useful life of components in the assets with unmatched operating regimes is estimated to ensure component reliability and to prevent failure.Type: GrantFiled: October 7, 2021Date of Patent: July 16, 2024Assignee: Tata Consultancy Services LimitedInventors: Kalyani Zope, Sri Harsha Nistala, Venkataramana Runkana, Aditya Pareek, Vishnu Swaroopji Masampally

Patent number: 12038547Abstract: The disclosure provides an approach, or workflow, that extrapolates a segmentation carried out on a formation image into the labelling of fractures. The workflow can be applied to 2D and 3D images, which can be generated by different imaging technologies. Advantageously, one or more steps of the workflow can be performed automatically. An example of the workflow includes: (1) distinguishing fractures identified in a formation image from a background of the formation image by applying an entropy filter, wherein the formation image has elements that are defined as either fracture elements or non-fracture elements and entropy values for the elements are generated by the applying of the entropy filter, and (2) identifying the fracture elements that correspond to the fractures by solving a diffusion equation, wherein the entropy values are used as a diffusivity field for solving the diffusing equation and the fracture elements are used as a source.Type: GrantFiled: January 28, 2022Date of Patent: July 16, 2024Assignee: Halliburton Energy Services, Inc.Inventors: Rafael March Castaneda Neto, Naum Moiseyevic Derzhi, Jonas Toelke

Patent number: 12039641Abstract: Traditional systems that enable extracting information from Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) lack accuracy due to existing noise in the images or require a significant volume of annotated symbols for training if deep learning models that provide good accuracy are utilized. Conventional few-shot/one-shot learning approaches require a significant number of training tasks for meta-training prior. The present disclosure provides a method and system that utilizes the one-shot learning approach that enables symbol recognition using a single instance per symbol class which is represented as a graph with points (pixels) sampled along the boundaries of different symbols present in the P&ID and subsequently, utilizes a Graph Convolutional Neural Network (GCNN) or a GCNN appended to a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) for symbol classification. Accordingly, given a clean symbol image for each symbol class, all instances of the symbol class may be recognized from noisy and crowded P&IDs.Type: GrantFiled: April 18, 2022Date of Patent: July 16, 2024Assignee: Tata Consultancy Limited ServicesInventors: Shubham Singh Paliwal, Lovekesh Vig, Monika Sharma
