Abstract: A method for evaluating reservoir quality of a carbonate rock includes: acquiring a thin section of the carbonate rock with a predetermined thickness; obtaining a microscopic image of the thin section; analyzing the microscopic image of the thin section to determine a content of one or more components of the carbonate rock selected from a group of calcite, pore space, replacive dolomite, dolomite cement, and matrix; and calculating a change of porosity based on the content of the one or more components.

Abstract: A cartridge for an aerosol-generating system includes a storage container containing a supply of an aerosol-forming substrate, a fluid permeable heating element positioned across an opening in the storage container, a protective cover coupled to the storage container and covering the fluid permeable heating element, at least one air inlet, at least one air outlet, and an airflow path from the at least one air inlet to the at least one air outlet. The protective cover is configured such that a portion of the airflow path is between the protective cover and the fluid permeable heating element.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for receive, via a client application executing on a client device, a request for a dynamically rendered display based on a subset of display fields. The method includes selecting a template from a plurality of templates based at least partially on the subset of display fields, converting the display fields of the template based on the subset of display fields, transforming the display fields to integrate data into the template, and generating a dynamically rendered display or a fillable document for display.

Abstract: A composition that includes porous polyurethane particles is provided. The porous particles are formed by curing an isocyanate component with water in the presence of a polyester filler and a hydrocarbon phase. A method for the preparation of porous polyurethane particles is also provided. The method includes providing a dispersed medium that contains a hydrocarbon phase, water, and a polyester filler. Then, an isocyanate component that is immiscible with the hydrocarbon phase may be added to the dispersed medium to form polyurethane prepolymer droplets, that may be cured by the water in the medium. An additional method for porous polymer particle preparation that includes providing a dispersed medium comprising a hydrocarbon phase, an isocyanate component that is immiscible in the hydrocarbon phase, and a polyester filler is provided. The dispersed medium may be agitated to form polyurethane prepolymer droplets, that may be cured by adding water.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices are disclosed for preventing relay attacks. A user device may receive (e.g., when proximate to the first access device), from an intervening device, device identification data for a first access device. A message may be received from a second access device via the intervening device. The message may include a digital signature generated based at least in part on second access device identification data. The user device may validate the message utilizing the digital signature and a public key. If the message is invalid, the user device may discard the message. If the message is valid, (e.g., unaltered), the user device may determine that the user has not confirmed an intent to interact with the second access device and may terminate an further interaction with the second access device accordingly.

Abstract: A method for efficiently storing and verifying records is disclosed. The method may comprise receiving a first hash of first interaction data and determining an interaction identifier associated with the first hash, then storing the first hash in a database along with the interaction identifier and determining a root hash of a hash tree. In addition, the method may also comprise providing the root hash of the hash tree to a public blockchain. Embodiments of the invention also allow users to easily present records to a third party or inquiring entity. Furthermore, interactions may be processed more quickly than previous blockchain methods that publish to a block during each individual interaction.

Abstract: A method or system for generating recommendations based on detected correlations of static and dynamic data. For example, the system generates feature inputs for the machine learning model that is based on labeled static data as well as dynamic data indicating current usage. Notably, the dynamic data is not retrieved from a data store of known training data, but instead is streamed in real time from active databases accessible to the network. Furthermore, the system provides a formatting mechanism that translates user selected requirements and parameters from a human-readable format indicating particular attributes of a database to optimize (e.g., database performance, security, compliance, capacity planning, etc.) into data that may be included in a machine learning feature input that specifies which correlations to use (e.g., server operational statistics data, server log data, monitoring metrics, etc.).

Abstract: An application or device is authenticated using secure application data validation. A server computer receives an authentication request comprising an application identifier or a user device identifier associated with a user device, the authentication request originating from the user device. The server computer receives a set of behavioral data associated with the application or the user device. Responsive to receiving the application identifier or device identifier, the server computer obtains a fuzzy vault associated with the application identifier or the user device identifier. The server computer determines a reconstructed key value using the fuzzy vault and the set of behavioral data. The application or the user device is authenticated using the reconstructed key value.

Abstract: The method, system, and non-transitory computer-readable medium embodiments described herein provide for identifying invalid identification documents. In various embodiments, an application executing on a user device prompts the user device to transmit an image of the identification document. The application receives an image including the identification document in response to the identification document being within a field of view of a camera of the user device. The identification document includes a plurality of visual elements, and one or more visual elements of the plurality of visual elements are one or more invalidating marks. The application detects a predetermined pattern on the identification document in the image, the predetermined pattern formed from the one or more invalidating marks. The application determines that the identification document is invalid based on the detected predetermined pattern.

Abstract: A high-speed automated separation apparatus includes a pair of flexible discs, a driver to rotate the flexible discs, a feeder to position a rigid body at a first location between the flexible discs, a spreader and a converger operable upon the flexible discs such that opposing portions of the flexible disc converge upon the positioned rigid body. The rotating flexible discs rotate the rigid body beyond the first location, and content from the rigid body is expelled. The rigid body and the expelled content are then available for reuse.

The resource host associates a second reference tag with the first asset based on the custom reference tag.

Abstract: Downhole tool is provided that includes a body, an intake port for receiving fluid from external the body, a pump, a filtration device, and an exit port. The pump is in fluid communication with the intake port for withdrawing fluid through the intake port. The filtration device has a particulate removing filter, and a flow line extending from the intake port to the filtration device. The filtration device is contained within the body and is in fluid communication with the intake port. The exit port is in fluid communication with the filtration device for ejecting the fluid to external the body.

Abstract: Retailers face challenges in setting up an integrated system for hyper localization to optimize operations associated with hyper localization across value chain. Method and system for automation of assortment tool and integration of applications to realize hyper localization in retail value chain is disclosed. Localized complementary and competitive items are identified through suitable data format using canonical analysis at category level and used to automate rules in assortment tool. Quantification of hyper localization at various level such as item, category, store, and store cluster and updating central database with quantified measures are achieved to enable integration of applications across value chain to optimize operations associated with hyper localization.

The sensor apparatus may enable generation of improved topography information associated with flows of fluid drawn from the external element based on measuring a local pressure at the location in hydrodynamic contact with the fluid conduit and determining the ambient pressure based on monitoring the local pressure over time.

Abstract: A system for generating user interface (UI) components in a web-based interactive UI is disclosed. Instructions, when executed by processors, cause the processors to receive CSS files specifying a desired standardized appearance for UI components, receive an HTML file specifying the interactive UI and including tags not specified by any HTML standard, corresponding to one or more UI components; and provide a webpage comprising the UI components to a human user. When rendered and executed by a web browser of the human user, the web browser will render the UI components indicated by the tags, load data into the UI components and style the UI components in accordance with the CSS file. The browser will also receive input requesting a change to presentation of data in the UI components and update UI components in accordance with the requested change. Additional features improving datagrid, chart, and filter functionality are provided.

In some examples, the system may initiate a step drawdown test of well efficiency to determine a cause of a decreased discharge rate of the wellfield site. The system may alter pumping of the wellfield site based on the step drawdown test, wherein a command signal is transmitted via a SCADA system to the wellfield site.

An example method may comprise providing an oil-based treatment fluid in the form of an invert emulsion comprising an aqueous internal phase and an oil external phase. The aqueous internal phase may include a bromide brine and a true crystallization temperature reduction additive, wherein the bromide brine has a density of about 14.2 lbs/gal or greater. The method may further include placing the oil-based treatment fluid into a wellbore.

Abstract: A radio frequency (RF) receives a media broadcast including media items and embedded watermarks. A watermark detection module included in the RF receiver operates in a low-power state, during which the watermark detection module does not attempt to detect the embedded watermarks. The watermark detection circuitry is activated, thereby transitioning from the low-power state to an active state, in response to receiving an attention marker. during the active state the watermark detection circuitry attempts to detect the embedded watermarks in the media broadcast, and continues to do so until an indication that watermark detection is to be discontinued is received. In response to receiving the indication that the watermark detection is to be discontinued, the watermark detection module is again placed in the low-power state.
